Actors Yul Edochie, Chigozie Atuanya Relocate To Anambra For Princess Stella Oduah

The former Aviation Minister Princess Stella Oduah is said to be running for Anambra North Senatorial District and two Nollywood stars Chigozie Atuanya and Yul Edochie have voluntarily taken it upon themselves to campaign for her.

From the look of things, they are trying to make sure that every Anambra North indigene votes for their choice of candidate on Saturday for Anambra North Senatorial District.

The actors are presently in Onitsha, Anambra State campaigning for the ex aviation Minister.

According to the actors “Stella Oduah is the right candidate for Anambra North senatorial district, she is our heart desire a great woman of high integrity. Princess Stella Oduah has done it before as former aviation minister and we believe in her leadership skills. We are endorsing her for senator, because she has represented the Igbo’s, she keeps to her words like we say in Igbo land “Ekwueme”.

No doubt she is our best candidate. Our Ada has affected the lives of people positively through her foundation Stella Oduah Foundation with so many testimonies of her kind heart, youth empowerment programme and talent hunt. She has a heart of gold and that’s why we are calling on every Anambra North indigenes to come out enmass and vote for a woman with a motherly heart, we wish there is a bigger elective position than senator to better the lives of Ndigbo.

I want to dedicate this week’s edition to addressing the married couples on the subject of pornography which has become lurid in a lot of homes. Although, quite a number of people that have been involved in porn materials claim that it helps them spice up their sexual lives in marriage. No other reasons has been given apart from this but the truth is that the disadvantages to marriage obviously outweigh any advantage you could ever think of. So what the heck?

Pornography is identified as any sexually explicit materials like films, magazines, writings, photographs or other materials that are sexually explicit and intended to cause sexual arousal.

According to science, pornography trains brains to release more endorphins than normal in response to an overload of sexual stimuli. After a while, depending on how long the brains have been on pornography, they develop a need for higher dose in order to achieve the same arousal. This apparently leads to more hardcore porn and higher quantities of it with longer period of time expended on it. It does not only limit your ability to become aroused at all, but also can limit your dopamine receptors in general, causing you to become more anxious, less social, and perhaps depressed.

Moreover, the younger you were when you began watching pornography, the worse the effects would be on you. For the married, which is what I am concentrating on here, it may seem helpful even now, but trust me, couples who are into pornography have a price to pay for their casual acceptance of it. You and your spouse will be on a safer side if you decide to go on steadily with the spontaneity of sex.

About 12 days after her untimely death, the remains of Aishat Noble-Mustapha, a staff of Silverbird group was yesterday, Wednesday March 25 committed to mother earth.

Late Aishat was reportedly killed near her Ogudu residence by yet to be identified person or persons on Saturday March 14th.

Sources said that the ceremony was very brief and was witnessed by family and friends at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos.

Meanwhile, results of autopsy conducted on her corpse is now out.

An insider who saw it confirmed that contrary to rumours, Aishat was not pregnant as at the time of her death and that she died from internal bleeding.

The youngest child of veteran actor Pete Edochie, Yul Edochie, has cleared the rumours making the rounds that he has a hand in the crash of Ini Edo’s six year old marriage.

Yul Edochie, denied the speculations in a recent interview with Entertainment Express.

According to the actor who just joined Mnet’s TV series, Tinsel, he is just a close friend and colleague to the said actress.

“Ini Edo is my very good colleague and close friend. We often meet at movie locations. And when she’s not shooting yet, we relax together inside my car. The gossip that we had ‘something’ started from the actors circle before it got to the ears of the media. Shortly after we became close, she got married to her ex-husband. Its a pity that her marriage crashed, but I’m still very married,” he said.

The 33-year old father of three who got married 11 years ago, also added that the bond he shared with Ini Edo became stronger when she told him that he (Yul) shares same birthday with her husband (now ex), Philips Ehiagwina.

“We actually became closer when Ini told me one day while we were on set that, that day was her husband’s birthday, co-incidentally, that was my birthday too.

So, she calls me on my birthdays to send her warm greetings. Please oh, I don’t have any hand in her marriage crash. She is just my friend and colleague”, he emphasised.

It would be recalled that in September, 2014, the shocking news of her marriage crash went viral and the actress cum producer confirmed it.

Ini Edo has since then moved on with her life and as well keeps dragging lots of controversies along with her.

After an initial setback that saw the event moved away from its traditional February 14 date, Nigerian singer, Darey Art Alade has again moved his highly anticipated Love Like A Movie concert.

LLAM was scheduled for April 4 at Ocean View Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos.

On both dates, the event has been encumbered by the Presidential election.

“The event is now being pushed back again because of the political climate and the ‘plenty uncertainties that made it difficult to plan,” confessed Darey.

Most people, when they get married, tend to relax and start loafing around in their new found status because they are of the opinion that getting married is the ultimate achievement. Getting married is an achievement really, but not the ultimate achievement in itself. The ultimate achievement is the success of that marriage. To be complacent is to be uncritically satisfied with oneself or one’s achievement often without awareness of some potential danger or defect. Most times, couples quickly get to the point where they take each other for granted, stop working on themselves individually to get better, stop investing into each other and begin swopping the relevance of their marriages for other mundane things. This makes relationships to quickly become routine and eventually lead to the point where couples are said to be complacent in their relationship. Marital complacency is subtle in nature because often times, couples don’t realise the crack or problem until the damage has been done, most times half-way or far beyond that.

A plot by drug barons to recruit drug mules in smuggling locally grown cannabis to countries with capital punishment for drugs like United Arab Emirates and China has been expose by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Ahmadu Giade, Chairman/Chief Executive, NDLEA revealed that the NDLEA had foiled several attempts by drug barons to smuggle cannabis in foodstuff outside the country. Three suspects including a female had been caught with 58.755kg of cannabis destined for Dubai and China at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos.

According to Giade, “based on intelligence report and intense covert operations undertaken by the Agency, we have recorded arrests of drug suspects and seizures of cannabis concealed in foodstuff. It is pertinent to alert members of the public of fresh plot by drug barons to smuggle cannabis to countries with capital punishment for drug trafficking because of the high profit involved. Drug barons are wicked and callous. They are only interested in making money even at the risk of others sacrificing their precious lives”.

While calling on people to resist the antics of drug barons, the NDLEA boss promise to adopt measures aimed at increasing the effectiveness of drug eradication efforts. Such measures include timely detection of drugs and exposure of modes of operation by drug syndicates.

It is exactly 38 days after Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele threatened to sue Blogger, Linda Ikeji over what was perceived to be a malicious publication but the matter has not been brought up before the courts.

This inspite of the open disdain by the celebrity blogger to the conditions handed by the actress’ lawyers, Legal Aficionados that she permanently deletes the publication from her blog and publish a retraction within 24 hours.

As he made way to leave for South Africa with his carefully concealed ‘parcel’, Prophet Michael Raji of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim at Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun Lagos had no idea that his time was up.

Eagle eyed officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) apprehended the 60 year old over unlawful exportation of 174 kilogrammes of narcotic drugs. The suspect, Prophet Michael Raji was arrested following the interception of the drug at the cargo section of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) during pre-shipment examination.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that the 60 year old suspect Michael Raji is a suspected top member of a drug syndicate operating in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. He had three international passports bearing his photographs. One of the passports bears the name Michael Raji while the other two bear the name Kadigun Fatah Ola. It was equally discovered that the church premises where he ministers also serves as a warehouse for narcotics. The seized drugs concealed inside large bags of foodstuff were found to contain 91kg of Methamphetamine and 83kg of Ephedrine with an estimated street value of 609 million naira. A Mercedes Benz Jeep was also impounded during the operation.
NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Mr. Hamza Umar described the suspect as a smooth operator. “I can tell you that this suspect is a smooth operator but we have uncovered his bag of tricks. The drugs were brought to the airport for export to South Africa where it was detected. Investigation eventually traced the movement of the drugs to his church premises where he was arrested” Hamza stated.

The suspect in his statement said that he collected the drugs from a friend. “I received the drugs from my friend and I kept them in the church since October 2014. I am the resident pastor of Cherubim and Seraphim Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun branch, Lagos. I attended Ansarudeen Primary and Secondary School Ibadan...
