MMG artiste, Iyanya Mbuk is the object of jokes among his fans.

The singer shared a photo and added the following qoute; “The key is to keep company only with people who uplift you,whose presence calls forth your Best…#doeverythingtokeepem.”

But his fans will have none of it. One fan, Juicybamila fired the first salvo by calling out the singer as a ‘dwarf’.

From that point, there was no stopping what was to follow as another fan identified as Yhulukluvly wrote, “Looking like Tyrone Lannister #GamesOfTheThrones.

Ofcourse Iyanya and the ficticious character are by no means identical. Tyrone Lannister (also referred to as “The Imp” or “The Halfman”) was potrayed by 44 year old American actor, Peter Dinklage in the critically acclaimed HBO series entitled Games Of The Throne.


Drinklage has won an Emmy and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor as well as consecutive Primetime Nominations.

Out-of-contract Super Eagles boss,Stephen Keshi will be offered a two-year deal worth N120m following the recommendation of the technical and development sub-committee of the Nigeria Football Federation that the big boss should be retained .

The sub-committee,Complete Sports scooped recommended a two-year deal for the former Eagles captain with a N7m monthly pay but a member of the executive committee of the federation who does not want to be named says the federation cannot afford the recommended salary and has opted to retain the coach on his former salary of N5m a month. The source also rubbished reports in the media that Keshi will be offered N4m monthly,saying the new executive committee is not blind to the near unprecedented achievements Keshi recorded in his first stint despite not qualifying the Super Eagles for the recently concluded AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.

‘The president (Amaju Pinnick) has always talked glowingly about Keshi’s achievements and believes he deserves not only respect but help.We will adopt the technical and development sub-committee’s report with a minor adjustment in terms of the coach’s take home pay,’revealed the source who did not want to be named.

Entertainment Express has it on good authority that a bitter war now exist between D’Banj and host of The Truth, Olisa Adibua. We are told that the reason is due to the latter’s refusal to leave out the sensitive parts out of the viral two-part interview which was recently to the public.

The disappointed singer has now vowed to permanently blacklist the show and have nothing to do with the show anchor, Olisa who also keeps a day job with Beat FM On-Air Personality (OAP).

This may explain why Olisa Adibua did not appear at the recently D’Banj At 10 Anniversary Gig Hosted By Amber Rose and held at Ocean View, Victoria Island, Lagos.

D’Banj and his minders allegedly made desperate efforts to get the producers to leave out some parts of the interview that was capable of damaging his fragile relationship with ex-partner, Don Jazzy.

But all entreaties from the camp of the Kokomaster fell on deaf ears as the producers of The Truth went ahead to release the full interview without any alteration.

Before the release of his interview on The Truth, it was learnt that the singer was already negotiating a working arrangement with the Mavin Records boss to produce his upcoming album.

A source in D’Banj’s camp said that the singer decided to work again with Don Jazzy with the hope that the talented producer can rescue his dwindling fortunes.

Insiders revealed that the singer became very uncomfortable after the tape stopped rolling and immediately began to beg the show host as well as his crew members to leave out sensitive parts of the interview.

Nollywood actress Rita Dominic and GEJ campaign team yesterday sent out this press release to endorse Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for reelection.

Rita Dominic said she is voting for Jonathan again because he has a long list of achievement not recognized by the media. The elections are coming and we need truckloads of prayers. Prayers to choose the right leadership. More than any other time in history, Nigerians need prayers and spiritual guidance to make the right choice at this political crossroads. Never in history have we had any election that appears so competitive. Too close to call, as the Americans would say. Too close to call in the sense that anything can happen between the reigning champion President Goodluck Jonathan and the ex-champion General Mohammadu Buhari, the phoenix constantly rising from the ashes of defeat at the polls and waxing stronger and stronger. The Buhari we see in the ring today is not the old Buhari we used to know. This is a reborn Buhari looming larger than life this time around. Anyone who underrates him does so at his own peril: “Beware the ides of Febuhari.”
As you can see, “Febuhari” is a pun, a play on words which is the mark of tabloid journalism which I have practised all my life. The ides of February is a wake-up call for all of us and for all the prophets and soothsayers in our land making all kinds of contradictory prophecies about who will win and who will not. The whole thing reminds me of my secondary school days in Ijebu Jesha Grammar School where I played the role of Julius Caesar in that Shakespearean tragedy of the day same name. I was in Sixth Form. I remember the soothsayer warning Caesar to “beware the ides of March” and a confident Caesar replying cynically: “The ides of March are come.” It ended tragically for Caesar but in our case, there would be no such foreboding. By the grace of God, we would have a peaceful election, a free and fair election and a winner would emerge without any violence and bloodshed. Who that winner will be, I don’t know. I really do not know. I wish I knew. Like Banquo asked the three witches in another Shakespeare’s tragic play Macbeth, how I wish I “can look into the seeds of time” and predict who will become the next President of Nigeria.
This is one fight that reminds me of another impending fight between the unbeaten World Champion Floyd Mayweather versus the bionic fighting machine Manny Pacquiao whom I adore. Even though...

Commercial sex workers in the country under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, NANP, have thrown their weight behind the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

NANP said it would declare a-three day free sex across the country if president Jonathan eventually loses the seat to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of APC.



Recall that the group had in 2013 declared one-week free sex after the Super Eagles defeated Burkina Faso to lift the AFCON trophy after almost 20 years.

About 123 convictions were recorded by the Lagos State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Federal High Court Lagos in 2014. The convicts include 117 males and 9 females who were sentenced to between one day and 15 years for various drug offences. Justice Musa Kurya sentenced a pregnant woman, Kudirat Bello to one day imprisonment for possessing 33.3kg of cannabis while 38 year old Obinna Okeke was sentenced to 15 years with hard labour by Justice M. D. Idris for possession of 3kg of cannabis. 118 cases were pending as at December 31, 2014. The command also detected a clandestine laboratory in the State.

Lanre Salami who was arrested at Oshodi lied to the court that he was 15 years old. The court later discovered that he was actually 17 years old. He was sentenced to 10 years for unlawful dealing in 400 grammes of cannabis. Salisu Usman, 42, was apprehended at Iddo Motor Park on his way to Zamfara, his home State with 47kg of diazepam. He was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment with hard labour.
NDLEA Lagos State commander, Mr. Aliyu Sule said that over two metric tons of illicit drugs were intercepted and an illegal factory used for the production of methamphetamine was also detected and shut down in the State in 2014.

According to Sule, “the Lagos State command seized a total of 2,056.949kg and apprehended 434 suspected drug traffickers. Those arrested include 413 males and 21 females. Drug exhibits seized are as follows; cannabis 1,989.716kg, cocaine 188.4 grammes, heroin 1.645kg, methamphetamine 7.6kg and psychotropic substances 57.8kg. Apart from those prosecuted, others found to be addicted were counseled. In addition, a clandestine laboratory used for the manufacture of methamphetamine was discovered and shut down in 2014”.

An unidentified teenager was confirmed dead in the wee hours of Tuesday morning at the swimming pool of DC Bar & Suites located in Owode-Ajegunle in Ikorodu area Lagos, which is owned by showbiz cum media mogul, Dayo ‘D1′ Adeneye.

Entertainment Express exclusively gathered that the corpse of the teenager was taken away in a grey coloured SUV around 8am on Tuesday morning in the presence of policemen from Owode-Ajegunle post of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).

The tragic incidence comes barely a year after the DC Bar & Suites began operations at 19-23 Oke-Owo street, Irawo, off Ikorodu Road, Lagos. According to an eye-witness, the sad event generated a lot of attention in the neighbourhood and attracted passers-by as well as on-lookers.

A source revealed that the dead teenager was a resident who returned recently from Ilorin, Kwara State.

The report of the tragedy is a sad turn of events for the former TV presenter turned politician who was still celebrating his appointment by Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun as part of the media and publicity committee for the Governor’s second term campaign.

Most studies show resolutions begin to drop off after a week and only about 40% of those who made resolutions actually stick to their goals. If you’ve encountered difficulties following through with your goals, resolve to make 2015 different.

No matter what your goals are, here are the keys to making those New Year’s resolutions stick:


1. Identify Your Readiness to Change
Sometimes, the pressure to establish a New Year’s resolution makes people choose a goal before they’re ready to commit. Although they may feel motivated initially, they haven’t really thought about all the work their resolution entails. Thinking, “I guess I should get healthier next year,” without committing to eating healthy and exercising isn’t likely to bode well.

2015 New Year’s Resolutions

Creating change is a process (see my previous article – Change Doesn’t Happen Overnight: It Happens In These Five Stages). Choosing to overhaul your behavior based on the date of the calendar, without really being ready, will only set you up for failure.

There’s no reason you need to take action on January 1. Rather than saying, “I’m going to quit smoking cold turkey at midnight,” a more reasonable solution might be, “I’m going to spend the month of January researching my options to quit.” This can increase your motivation to quit, while also giving you time to create a plan that you’ll be prepared to follow through with.


2. Believe You Can Do It

A lot of people try to create change, despite a nagging voice in their heads that says, “This will never work.” If your thoughts constantly drag you down and beat you up, your chances of success are greatly diminished. You’ll likely talk yourself out of taking action as soon as the going gets rough. Creating long-lasting change requires confidence.

If you struggle with self-doubt, write down all the evidence that suggests you’ll be able to reach your goal. Read that list daily to affirm your strengths and reduce your negative thinking. Learn to recognize and replace your irrational thoughts with more productive and helpful monologues
