drlateef: Go for urgent biopsy to rule out a basal cell carcinoma. Best counsel, a wound biopsy and histology of the tissue will explain why this ulcer has refused to heal. The early you do this, the better for you. Make an effort to see a Plastic surgeon or Dermatologist to expert review and care. |

Almost everyone in Nigeria is as good as the leaders they produce ! Those leaders/politicians are the products of our society, they didn’t fall from the sky. |
Celebrities › Re: Actor Leo Mezie Is Dead (Photos) by Famocious(m): 7:08am On May 17, 2022 |
Cleanworld: There are too many cases in Nollywood unless if there's underline illnesses that are not being disclosed. In the UK those on dialysis have a 15-20% mortality rate, with a 5-year survival rate of under 50%. Persons who receive transplants have a survival rate of about 80% after 5 years only and that was before the pandemic. NHS has logbacks built up during and after C19 pademic and am afriad the rate has even gone down. I personally don’t think the incidence rate in nollywood is really peculiar. Prevalence rate of kidney disease in Nigeria is about 14percent from both rural and urban studies. As per the backlog of the waiting list in NHS during the pandemic, that happened globally. Covid pandemic affected both the patients with kidney disease, Hemodialysis service, kidney transplants and it even cause various form of kidney disease. |
Celebrities › Re: Actor Leo Mezie Is Dead (Photos) by Famocious(m): 11:06pm On May 16, 2022 |
Cleanworld: Rampart amongst these actors. its realy sad For every one actor we get to know that has kidney disease, there are 100 people we don’t know that equally have it . Some people are just unfortunate to have it, and sadly less than 10 percent of people who have it can afford the required treatment. While in the UK, people with kidney failure have 3 times dialysis sessions every week at no cost ( aside tax). Kidney transplant and medications are equally free and there are patients who even benefit from dual organ transplant (pancreas and kidney). |

Kidney or liver diseases are not only affecting nollywood actors but general population. They don't respect status, beauty or sex. For every single popular person you know with chronic liver/kidney disease, there are thousands of others with it that nobody knows. |
