If you like sign 50 % , if u like make am 15% all of them na signature, if them bounce you for embassy remember to tell the visa officer say na one 5year old direct you to come.

What then is the proof of your signature if not your international passport. How would the bank, that has not seen your face, believe the account will be operated by you, save you go through the process of affirming the signature in your passport in the presence of a german consulate officer.

@fapper you can use anything other signature other than the one you used on ur passport. Just make sure that u can reproduce it. When I did my in march, I used different signature and I have received my accouunt details from the deutsche bank. Mein zwei loffel

How about sending docs to someone in Lagos, who can then proceed to NIPOST airport terminal? Everything should be less than 10days, and the cost will still be reasonable.

The processing duration for an application is up to six weeks after its arrival at uni-assist and the respective payment.

My simple advice is this, for those interested to make applications this year.
1) Spend time browsing the net, and daad website for your choice course and university.

2) Take ur time and browse through ur choice university's website. Please pay attention to details and salient info. Some school's programmes may have hidden opportunities.
Only the dedicated and diligent ones will see it.

3) Review the application requirements. Start now to gather what u don't have ready for the application. For e.g apply for transcripts, make photocopies of your documents,deadlines etc.

4) I strongly advice you start writing ur motivation letter. Ensure u finish it like in the 1st week of feb. Between feb and when u submit ur application, u have ample time to review, correct and repackage ur Mletter. By so doing u Mletter will be 100%.

5) There is nothing wrong to start saving for ur applications. There is nothing wrong in having a small save box, like those days of 1991 and co, put money in the box always.
By the time u will be ready to submit ur applications, u will be surprised how much u have. The truth is, some persons might not be fortunate to have money at hand, when its time to pay UNI-assist and this may cause delay. So to avoid this plan, budget and save.

6) Nothing stops u from sending ur applications now,if andd only if u are ready. I hope u know that? But if u are not ready, don't panic, applications are received until JUNE 15 for most schools. But be warned some application deadlines are earlier say April or May even March.
But if u have done (2) & (3), u won't have any problems.

7) Use all forms or reminders to remind u of deadlines. U can involve that ur little sis that never forgets dates.

Before u ask questions, do at least 1,2,3 above.

Yeah, I mean Winter Semester (WS2015), SS2015 application of most schools closed by Jan15. Check out daad.de there are numerous Msc Courses (+100%
English taught) whose deadline exceeds March 31st. Just draw your plan very well you can still get a place for WS2015.

For instance, I applied to 4 schools for SS2015 which I am yet to get a positive feedback, I had to apply to 3 more schools for WS2015 to be on a safer side and their deadlines are around March and April. Hope it was helpful? I stand to be corrected though.

Brother look well o....I said the one confirmed is the MAIN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE....I don't know about other offices because there are several. I THINK the main office will accept your application as far as you are in Berlin. Just do further research.

For the admission letters, it all depends on the school, I have gotten one admission down for winter already. But generally, schools would usually issue out letters 3 months before enrollment deadline or in some cases, three months before school starts. So for winter, look up to the admission letter any moment from now.

I admire your determination to learn the language. My phone got damaged so I lost all the useful apps I use but they are mainly very useful for beginners but of course, they could be useful for more advanced levels.. To me, i find them better than duolingo. Here are the playstore apps I remember from memory.
1. learn German
2. Meine Deutsch Freund
3. Fun and easy learn (German 6000 words)
4. King German
5. German trainer
6. German drills (may not be the exact name)
7. German English dictionary + translator
8. Bubble bee (learn German with bubble bee) I don't like this one much

4-6 are German verb conjugation trainers

I can't remember the rest.
For me, the plan is to learn as much as you can, most unis still provide language lessons free of charge as part of their service.

Also, you can try and see if you can lay your hands on the study materials provided by Geothe Institute for your desired level. I'm looking at getting them too. Its 11k, consisting of 3 books and CDs and someone told me the CD contains exactly everything for classes.

For the test, why not try this online test to assess your strength. there are short or long test available for each level from A1.

You can also take lessons for each levels. I will check up a site later. You know that these things are structured and learning from random sites may improve your overall knowledge of the language but may not take you too far in passing the exams so look for sites with structured lessons appropriate for your level.

For that person who enquired about Berlin, I asked further questions about the length of their resident permit and someone said in accordance with what mocaz posted that its actually very easy if you go to their main administrative office and its immediate. Students around Berlin e g Brandenburg get house/housing contracts there so that they can be eligible. He said the permit they issue usually covers for all the periods of study given that you have slightly above 8K in your blocked account. According to him, a friend of his was recently given 4 years!
To that guy who enquired earlier, make further research to see how it works.

If you want to use OND, check schools in the east. It was discussed late last year, even as that the possibilities are quite slim.
If you don't have your HND certificates, then go for your HND transcripts (transcripts are compulsory) and endeavour to get a letter from your school stating that your Certificate is not ready yet or if you have gone for your National youth service, use the notification/statement of results issued by your school for registration at the camp.

@Fapper....The renewal of RP is easiest at Berlin.... Once your have secured a visa to study in Germany and your school or registered residential address is in Berlin....you can get a 2-3years with ur 8k blocked account.... I know someone that got 3years so don't worry too much about the renewal.

Brethren, it depends on the school and the administrative district/towns/area in Berlin. Moreover, Berlin hath four popular tertiary institution, namely, FU Berlin, TU Berlin, HTW Berlin and Berlin school of Economics and law, so, where goest thou?
Differing fates could be meted out to folks from different school. The uniformity of policies in all the administrative districts in Berlin is really in doubt.
Before thou reachest yon, enquire about thy fate and what is obtainable.
Let me give thee a practical example, Rhine Waal in NRW hath two campuses, Kleve and Kamp Lintford, assuming you stay in the school town, the former gives two years while the latter only gives one or the other way round (I will confirm again).

As regards thine opinion in the latter paragraph, thinketh not thee that that would be overtly ambitious? If that wouldn't work when thou art in thine fatherland/motherland (or whatever we label our nation these days), then why thinkest thou that it would work yonder?

Well, here is the deal brethren, some cities/administrative regions give 1 year resident permit to be renewed upon its expiry, you are required to provide 8,000 euros upon the subsequent renewal, or at least find an alternative proof of fiñance, which I don't think is straightforward. while some States will give you two years resident permit straight, meaning you wouldn't have to renew after the first year, thus a relief from the stress and burden of thoughts towards meeting the stipulated pecuniary requirements. So, it all depends.


Note, that its the administrative region where you live that holds the responsibility or power to determine the validity period of your resident permit and not necessarily the administrative district where your school is located. Thus two students from the same school leaving in different towns may be blessed/cursed with differing fortunes.
In all, its pertinent to make sure you make adequate enquiries from students around there to know whàts obtainable in the towns around your school.

So it's mostly you and her going solo which to me it's love suffocation because it's not like in Nigeria where you tell your gf once in a while to "Free me now"
