Considering the fact that 85% of VAT collected are shared to states and local governments, I think it’s very fair, reasonable and efficient to allow state governments collect it. I have argued severally on this forum that state be allowed to administer VAT and I’m glad the court gave judgement in that regard. This is a very key component of the restructuring we’re talking about.

Exactly this will also help what we call unviable states to shore up their IGR
