ainas247: you lack wisdom and ability to understand just a single line of a statement. Who really lack wisdom between the two of us now. The governor has just corroborated what I said earlier (and you should take your time to check the time difference between what you quoted from me and what the governor writes. Again, I repeat what I added earlier: The learned governor has busted the hate-induced ignorance. Even if your governor has said this concerning this social scheme, your demonic bigotry would still have prevented you from seeing it rightly.

Take a look at remnants of old structures managing to survive in aba as rich traders continue to demolish and replace with modern blocks of flat Many parts of Benin city, ile ife, Ibadan, oshogbo, abeokuta, ilesa, Warri, calabar, ilesa, oshogbo etc had zinc roofs as early as 1910-1920. That cannot be said of the present locations in the East. AND IF YOU THINK SO, POST THE PICTURES. I know you dare not because the thatched roofs were the order of the day till almost independence! Anambralstson: One of the states with highest IGR in West West most indebted region Are you aware that it is only in igboland that there is no old historical buildings that are up to 70 years. Why? While the North, Middle Belt, Calabar, Warri, Benin in the South South and South West were living in great structures, Igbos were living in huts built with thatched leaves. That's the reason why you see brown roofs. Some of them are as old as 90/100 years old. Old London structures cannot be compared with those of Manchester while the structures in New York are way older than those in Washington. Only igboland, in the whole of Nigeria that cannot produce 100 years old human settlements. It's because you living in tiny hamlets like early men. The colonialists met you in this state. Politics › Re: How Ogun State Prevents Winners Chapel From Repairing Ota Roads by farem: 3:49pm On May 05, 2019 |
barojana: Voice Of The Church Publication
It is very strange that despite the economic viability and importance of Ota and it's environs, the Ogun state government has left this area's infrastructure largely unattended to. This is reason why many stakeholders within this community are quite bewildered or embittered with government's insistence that Living Faith church headed by Bishop David Oyedepo should not tar the road of those communities as it wasn't a Church's business to tar roads.
The Ogun state governments have over the years demanded that the Church should instead pay the Government and then leave construction for government contractors. However, knowing the corruption precedence of Nigerian states, the church has never been comfortable with that idea. Another reason is because there is so much variance in the amount the Church and the Govt budgeted for those same projects.
While the govt budgeted $40 million for the same roads, the Living Faith Church budgeted $5 million at the same time insisting $5 million would be enough to get the work done in those communities.
According to Leke Beecroft of Church Gist "The Chinese Construction Company, contracted by the Ogun State Government led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun has played a major role in fixing the stretch of road but for unspecified reasons had left some parts of it like the Oju-Ore Junction,Roundabout untouched. This had led to hours of heavy traffic for all users of the road.
it will be recalled that a few years ago, the Ogun State Government under the leadership of Otuba Gbenga Daniel had prevented and even arrested and charged to court the church's Direct Labour Workers. The Ogun Government stopped the church from fixing the said road which leads to establishments like the Honda Training School and football pitch, Indomie Noodles Factory, Obasanjo Farms, The Bells University and Bells Secondary School (owned by Former President Obasanjo), Canaanland's Covenant University, Faith City's Crawford University and many banks among others, insisting it was not the business of the church which had earmarked about #560 million (about $5 million at the time)
The State Government had budgeted #4.4billion ($40 million) to fix the same road.
The Church has also decided to grade all inland areas around the locality of the church to help road users around the area ply their vehicles on these roads and this road grading project alone runs into tens of millions."
NB: One of the two lanes at the Oju-Ore Junction being repaired by the Church years back.

The local Chief of that community, I was reliably informed, insisted that redeemed church must first pay them 10millon naira before they will be allowed to work on the road. I mean this is a church that it's people will use the road for less than four days in a month o, the community people will be the grandest beneficiaries |
