Governor of Sokoto state Aminu Waziri Tambuwal was caught on tape praising Buhari, during the President condolence visit to the family of former President, Alhaji Shehu Shagari and the Sokoto Caliphate.

Shagari died on last Friday in Abuja and was buried on Saturday in his hometown, Shagari, in Shagari Local Government Area of the state. The president arrived Sokoto State through Sultan Abubakar III Airport, at about 12 noon. He proceed to the palace of Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Muhammadu Abubakar III to condole with him. Buhari had earlier sent a Federal government delegation led by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Mr. Boss Mustapha, to attend the funeral rites of the late former president.

State governor, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal while reading out the president speech said this in Hausa "Ranka Yadade Allah saka da alkhairi, muna godiya" which means ""May You Live Long, We're Grateful"

Since August when the Sokoto State Governor dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rarely been seen with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Tambuwal not only joined PDP but he attempted running against Buhari in 2019. The governor lost the PDP presidential ticket to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar. Tambuwal and Buhari put politics aside on Sunday when they paid condolence visit to the family of ex-President, Shehu Shagari who died in Abuja on Friday.

So Sokoto has many tribes? I have a friend presently serving in Yobe state and I fear for him all the time because people living in the core North are unpredictable.
