The rail service has 12 stations and the railway line connect 3 states: Kogi, Edo and Delta State

It was initiated in 1987 by the government of Gen Babangida to move iron ore from Itakpe to Ajaokuta but was abandoned until 2017

In 2009, President Umaru Yar’ Adua reactivated the project at a cost of about $200 million.

In 2017, Amaechi announced that the railway would be completed by the CCECC) and Julius Berger at a cost of about $200 million.

The amount was paid by Nigeria in 2017 (NOT BORROWED)

You're lying. The project was initiated more than 30 years ago. That time Jonathan doesn't even know the meaning of politics.

Kano state has been exporting rugs and carpets to other African countries and the USA, as one the largest producers of rugs in Africa through JakKay Carpets and Rugs. The ban on imported rugs from Asia has helped local rug manufacturers increased production and create more jobs.

THIS IS NOT FAIR!

How can we travel hundreds of kilometers to aboki region with our hardwork, intelligence and innovation only for the governor to harass and marginalize us this way? These things that he just burnt take years of complex thoughts and processes that could only be handled by the elite of the elite brains Africa has to create this stuff. Does he even know how many mansions these things have built? Who else can bring this kind of development to Kano if not we, the superior race of Africa and the lost siblings of Israelites?

- El-Rufa'i Copying Ganduje In Fight Against Drug Abuse, Says NDLEA

-As Gov Ganduje destroys fake drugs worth over N380m

Governor Nasiru Ahmed El-Rufa'i of Kaduna state, takes a leaf from governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state, in the fight against drug abuse, as observed by the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, adding that Ganduje's strategy is worth copying.

The observation was made by NDLEA Commandant, Kano office, Dr Ibrahim Abdul, who made this known during a destruction exercise of expired/adulterated packaged food and illicit drugs worth over N380 Million, which took place at NDLEA office Airport road, Tuesday, by governor Ganduje.

Dr Abdul said, "For a very long time, I came to know that it was only Kano state under Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje that we have Special Adviser on the Fight Against Drugs Abuse. But I learned that Kaduna state governor Malam Nasiru El-Rufa'i is copying from Gov. Ganduje in having Special Adviser on the Fight Against Drug Abuse also."

Explaining that, Ganduje's style and strategy in fighting against drug abuse, is commendable and worth copying because of the fruitful results the state is witnessing.

"When governor Ganduje assumed the mantle of leadership, Kano was the first in the list of states with drug abuse. But because of what the governor has been doing to safeguard his state, Kano is now the 6th state in the list. This is highly commendable by all standard," he appreciates.

In his remarks governor Ganduje said his administration attaches importance to the fight against drug abuse, "That was why I directed that all political appointees must go through drug test. All my Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Advisers, Heads of Agencies, among others, were tested. NDLEA is here to testify that."

"Because we are determined in this fight, that is why we said we must institutionalise the effort. A Bill is before the State Assembly on Drug Administration Agency. We want have strong institution for that. But then we are not usurping the responsibilities of other federal agencies saddled with this responsibility.

We are only complimenting their efforts. That is why, when established, the Agency would work hand in hand with the federal agencies to achieve drug-free society," he reveals.

While calling on all the agencies responsible for the fight against drug abuse, to partner with each other, he said "Working together as a team is necessary for the success of the effort. All security agencies should also work closely with other agencies to see that we achieve this in our state and the nation in general."

On the relocation of drug sellers from Sabon Gari to the newly established, under construction, Dangwauro World Market, he strongly warned that, "All drug marketers from Sabon Gari must relocate to the new market. Which satisfies the federal government policy on open market for drugs."

Warning further that, he would not take any complaint on trivialities, that, "Whoever has any complaint should come to my office and report. But to complain on trivial issues like the building is not fit for one's business and other such issues, would not be tolerated.

If you have any issue come to my office and I will call on all the stakeholders and discuss it. This is a very strong warning I am putting forth!

He commended all the agencies responsible for the fight against drug abuse, together with all the security agencies and state Agencies like Hisbah, Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) amongst others.

Gas that has been burnt away for the last 60 years, and that is still been burnt away in the form of flares. Now the lacking infrasfructure (pipeline) is about to be built to convert that wasted gas to resources, possibly boosting govt revenues by over $5bn annually and also eliminating flares and the attendant environmental damage, but some good for nothing imbeciles think this is a bad move because they heard the word 'Kano'. Ignorance and hatred just has to be the worst pandemic on the face of the earth.

Even if the Fed does it, it will be radically expense to refine and or sell from Kano. It would have to by barreled and shipped back to Lagos to export. They would then have to decide (buyers) if they want to by the $20 dollar south south barrel or the $20 dollar plus shipping and handling barrel from Kano.

As much as ethnic politics are a factor in Nigeria, you cannot out Nigeria the laws of nature and the laws of economics. This mentality is why Ajeokuta steel doesn't exist and all of the refineries in the north, till date, have never turned a profit. You cannot take a yam move it to the north, then drive it back south and expect to make a profit selling that same yam for the same price the people that didn't make your sojourn are selling it for.

Let me believe you are saying this without knowledge of what's happening. When crude oil is extracted there's is a pipe where smoke comes out, that emoji goes in to the sky as waste. That waste is the gas and can be used to generate electricity.

So instead of allowing it to waste away, it will channelled into the pipe and be utilized.

So all this grammar you're writting doesn't make any sense.

The south east in Imo and abia are major gas producers.
Probably the largest in the country.

We are to talking gas here not oil.

All resources belongs to the Federal govt?
The same govt that did not include the east in their biggest borrowing ever?

Gas come from the oil not from dry land.

Everything is for northern Nigeria not even one serious project is for the south especially southeast and south-south, some people are pointing the 2nd river Niger bridge, this bridge was started by Jonathan's administration. The Niger-Delta region whose land produces about 98% of the Nigerians wealth is left with no single project. TOO BAD

Lagos Ibadan railway
Itakpe warri rail way
Second Niger bridge.
Porthaetcourt new international terminal airport.
Zik museum.

In all the above with exception 2nd Niger bridge, all have been completed to 80-100%

Point out the ones carried out in the north? Everything must be in your region?

If second Niger is a Jonathan project, then pipeline too is Jonathan project in 2013.

States with Standard Gauge Rail in Nigeria.

South

1. Lagos
2. Oyo
3. Ogun
4. Edo
5. Delta

North

1. Kogi
2. Kaduna

That second niger bridge is a good project but southeast deserve more. Second Niger bridge cost 200b. But that rail project from Lagos to ibadan only is almost 600b, that is three times. Let not talk about Lagos - ibadan road.
If it is only that second Niger bridge with a toll gate that you want a whole southeast to boast of, then that is unfair.
We need a rail line passing through that River Niger to lagos.

And Nigeria is not all about south. Northeast, Northwest need something too.
