Last nursery for this year did on the 1st of August 8k plus stand. Cobra,diva and plantinum.

The 10k stand I have on field Plantinum and Cobra.

Took cucumber to market this morning, grade 1 diva this morning range between 18-16k why plantinum 16-14k.

diva is More bushier than Cobra, and Cobra has more branches than diva. Anybody that planted diva last year will know there is modification done to the seed, last year seed was so tiny, as in difficult to plant. the fruit is more in number and bigger compare to this current. The current advantage now, it has more bacteria wilt resistance than the previous one, and easy to plant than the previous seed. East west should do better because I will prefer More in number of fruit and Bigger!

Diva and plantinum did two times pruning.. expecting ripening by next weekend.

The Cobra begins to set fruit...I did Light pruning yesterday.

Almost ready for market...did two times pruning and fertilizer.

For example from what I have been able to gather.
1. Application of Nematicide, pesticide and manure .... Some days before transplanting
2. Transplanting.... Done at Day 23
3. Application of NPK... Done 2 weeks after transplanting
4. Application of Otivar Top... 1 month after transplanting, then every other 14days
5. Application of SAAF + either sharp shooters or Rich soil alternated, every 5 days, starting from when the seed germinates at nursery stage with low dose of 15ml to a 16l knapsack sprayer to 100ml at transplanting stage to maturity.

Please kindly correct me where I am wrong and add any other necessary info or important activity with the time frame of action.

Please which do you think is more profitable to plant between cucumber and tomato around August according to price trend. Provided the farmer can manage any of the two well.
Taking one plot with good irrigation for example.

fine fine! Pix 1 is the Cobra just begin to flowers, pix 2 diva. Cobra appear friendly to grow, no too much foliage, never even prune at all. Unlike diva and plantinum that I will do minimum 2 times pruning during this weather.

Land dry today took only plantinum to market and sold 12k flat..there was mad rush this morning!

y I asked was that. In Ibadan where I farm I sell at bodija and usually drop the products with the brokers who help to sell with a commission of 10%

I understood how the market work, so am giving Free hand to sell my market any how I want, though I always pay agent fee #500 per crate. Some colleagues and buyers do think am agent. 10% is too much sir! Even Lagos own no reach that!

The remaining ten..I sold 10k, 8k and 7k comot eye .

Land soak today..... sold diva 16k why I (struggle) sold plantinum for 12k and 11k, still remain ten crate in market which I will go and sell tomorrow morning. I left market exactly 2pm since 6am...

Complete...did the nursery inside it on 10th... first time I will be doing 10k stand at once, am prepared for the glut . Remain one more nursery for this year which will be by august.
