I want u to thank God because you have not bought the rainguns yet. Why waste so much money? I even regret buying the one I bought years ago. Please go for spray tubes or drip irrigation. Which crops will u be planting?

51 bags! This is awesome. Definitely the work of NPK. Cause I realized you don't joke with NPK.

Mine are great sir !. This is interesting cause my cukes are 3days old today.

I planted about 1500+. I'll know the plus once I do the census grin.

These pics were taken yesterday.
.
NPK was very useful. Combined with manure. Try keep track of the number of bags. Although our bagging style here contains many more cukes.

THE SO CALLED MOG HAVE TURNED CHRISTIANITY INTO A COMIC SHOW/BUSINESS ENTERPRISE. WHO NOR WISE UP NA E KNOW.

RELIGION IS A BIG PART OF THE PROBLEMS AFFECTING HUMANITY. MOST PEOPLE NO LONGER USE THEIR BRAINS.

REMOVE THE OFFERINGS AND TITHES AND SEE IF MOST RELIGIOUS CENTERS WON'T FOLD UP WITH THEIR MOG QUITTING THE HUSTLE..
.
Correct. But we shud know that churches still need money to maintain and expand.

Nope ooo.

This is for side placing.

Fertigatiom is every 2 weeks.

Spraying Potassium Nitrate, Calcium Sulphate and Magnesium Sulphate works better than fertigating them.

Spray Calcium and Magnesium from week one and Magnesium from week Three
.
Pls where do you buy potasium nitrate and how much?

Your plants are looking very healthy sir. Congrats.

But this your bagging style is still shocking me . grin Honestly.

Please sir, if you don't mind me asking some questions,

1. Please what's your plant population that gave you this nice harvest?

2. Is it pig manure.

3. Which fertilizers are you using for the project?

Mine is about to commence. Rain fed.
Any advice is welcomed sir
.
I finally counted them. 1005 plants and I got about 51 bags. How about yours. Let's compare yield.

I think it is good. But there are breeds that are better but the risk is that they may not survive tsetse flies.

AgricultureRe: Training/rearing Of Goats, Dogs & Pigs, Which Is Cheaper & More Profitable? by FarmTech(mod): 9:39pm On May 10, 2023
Psoul:
You fail to talk of one important factor.
Which of them have regular buyers.

Let's assume that market is not a problem. Assuming there are buyers for all of them. Rearing of dogs are more profitable. Adult dog eats once a day.
I just sold 9 out of 11 puppies one of my dogs gave birth to. The least price I sold one is 90k and it's just less than 3 months old puppy. Some were sold at 120k per puppy.
The dog gives birth twice a year.
A bag of dog food can last for over 6months for one dog. If you combines it with other cooked food, a bag can last for 8months.

Besides that, they are also doing security work for me in the house. Before you can sell your ghost or pig, you'll feed them to maturity which is birth stressful and financially intensive.
.
How much is a bag of dog food? Which breeds do u have?

I am in lagos. What type of goat do you think I should go for. I have an acre of land already...working on building the fence and other structures.

WAD is good for the south. I dont know of any other breed that can resist trypanosomiasis well.

It was in care of veterinary Doc. That business is pure luck. That was the good reason I invested that huge, I thought it'd be safe.

I will prefer rearing aves to goat 🐐, or I'll go less for Goat next time...
I'll get a mai-suya contact that I'll be supplying my fowls, cock to. I know a guy who sells UpTo 100 chicken per day
.
If you know what you're doing, no farm biz is pure luck. You made a big mistake by putting it in the hands of sb. They can't take care of it the way u can. If you don't monitor ur farm manager strictly, forget it.

Thank you for this. Are you referring to WAD? Moreso, what breed of goat do you think can be invested in please?
.
There are WAD goats that give birth to 3-4 kids. I'm planning to try out some soon. The goat breed u choose will depend on ur locatn.

If u're a non Muslim, go into rearing of Dog, cause u won't have any issue of poisoning them, stealing them etc..
I invested half a million into Goat they ended purging, food poisoning & some irregular sickness. I recovered my money with no more than 15% interest after they started dying 😢...

Just go for dog especially local one (Bingo) that eat any eatable 😊
.
Did u went into goat farming with adequate knowledge? Did you allow them to roam around?
AgricultureRe: Training/rearing Of Goats, Dogs & Pigs, Which Is Cheaper & More Profitable? by FarmTech(mod): 9:51am On May 10, 2023
Hotwest:
You r right but only feeding a dog have covered all these. In the villages most don't do all you wrote and those goats are still healthy walking freely and returning back home
.
There is a difference between small scale and large scale. Those small scale goat farmers in the villages can cope with allowing their goats to roam around. There are lots of nutritious grass and legumes for the goats. But once u confine them in a pen, you must provide them with balanced ration. If not you wont succeed.

Elephant grass is very common. It can be grown from stem cuttings. Brachiaria is better. The seeds can be bought. There is one NL guy that sell it (I've not bought from him thoughm)

A conversation to join.

Can someone please digress a bit and compare goats and cows in terms of profitability/risks/resources.
.
Goats are better than cow. By the time you are raising one cow to maturity, you have raised several generations of goats. Goats multiply easily too. There are breeds that give birth to 3 or 4 kids.
