TUANKU: The foreign airlines are not transacting with the USD inside Nigeria, they only repatriate the money in USD (You pay your ticket fares in naira). There are schools billing for tuition fees in USD(without the option of paying the Naira) right here in Nigeria which is something you won't do in a sane society.

If this your experience in 2months. I will say, so far so good. Abroad is filled with many opportunities and as long as you are not lazy, you will find your ground and stand with both legs in a short time.
I will like to know why families divorce after getting der and in some cases possibly the women already have such intentions if their calculations align. No man in his right senses will spend so much to bring a woman abroad and then divorce her without an evidence of infidelity unlike the female counter parts that tell you they are no longer attracted to him.

This was revealed in a press release signed by the Police public relations officer in Imo, ASP Henry Okoye and made available for our correspondent.
The release read in full;
“The Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma has condemned the attack and gruesome murder of personnel of Mopol 18, Owerri, by gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate Eastern Security Network (ESN). The officers were ambushed in the early hours of today, 23/03/2024 while on patrol duties along old Gariki Road Okigwe by the disgruntled elements who threw dynamite on the officer’s patrol vehicle and engaged them in a protracted gunfight. In the process, two officers paid the ultimate price while four others survived the attack.
ogododo: The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, has said everyone is involved in crude oil theft in Nigeria.
Kyari also said the company recorded 9000 infractions on its pipelines within one year.
He said this on Wednesday when the House of Representatives Special Committee on Oil Theft went on an oversight function at the headquarters of the NNPCL in Abuja.
According to him, from 2022 to date, the company has deactivated 6,465 illegal refineries.
“We have also removed 4,876 illegal connections to a pipeline out of 5,570 that we have discovered”, he said.
Reps task NNPCL over rising crude oil production cost
He added that the NNPCL was not sure if that was the actual number.
He said, “Some of the scale of the infraction that we see is unbelievable; we are not able to deal with it. When you remove one connection, the next day in the same location, someone will replace it.
“It is obvious that crude oil theft is almost an end-to-end issue in Nigeria; it is very obvious that everyone is involved.
“In most of these locations, they are less than a hundred meters from the settlement; some are even less than a hundred meters from the local government headquarters.”
Kyari said that notwithstanding the distance, “these evils are being perpetrated unabated, adding that this makes it impossible to guarantee the production that would happen the next day.”
He added that the key issue had been security, adding that the NNPCL moved to curtail the menace of pipeline vandals by incorporating all security agencies into a single platform, including private security.
He said, “It is very obvious that despite all the integrity issues with our pipeline and our facilities, we have capacity beyond 2 million barrels per day without doing anything.
“But today, we are struggling to meet the budget estimate of 1.6 million barrels per day. This by no means is related to crude oil theft.
“In 2022, it became so obvious that if something dramatic is not done, we are going to run into trouble. On a specific date, our production came down to as low as 1.1 million barrels per day. And on a particular date, we have gone below a million barrels.”
Speaking, the Chairman of the Special Committee, Rep. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, said it was common knowledge that operating oil and gas pipelines in Nigeria was a herculean challenge.
He said hardly a week went by without an infraction or damage to an oil or gas pipeline in the country.
According to him, it is also saddening that these infractions do not stop with the pipelines as daily breaches are also recorded at the oil well heads, flow stations, loading, and export terminals, among others.
He said the opacity of regulatory activities at Nigeria’s crude oil export terminals was alarming.
He said, “We are compiling the facts and figures. Instances where approvals are hastily granted to vessels involved in crude theft just to cover official complicity are reported.
“Incidences of undeclared liftings are noted, and all these and several other infractions, particularly in our offshore marine environment, contribute to the huge volume of crude oil theft being reported.”
According to him, it is indisputable that Nigeria has been bedeviled by crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism of enormous proportions, most of which he said occurred within the Niger Delta region.

Greenishland: I had this experience today and I thought to share.
Yesterday, I went to a place at Ogba, to print awareness stickers for my website development training class that I intend to start in April and I met this old man in his sixties or seventies who operated the printing press and we agreed that I should design my stickers by myself with my mobile phone right there before they would print for me in order to cut cost so I stayed there and designed it but when we wanted to transfer it to the system, we started experiencing difficulties so there's this young girl working with him who now painstakingly re designed my sticker before it was printed.
I needed to pick my children from school so I had to leave before the printing was concluded and I told them that I would be back the following day, which is today to pick up the job and I got there today and everything went well, including the old man helping me to cut the stickers at no cost to me and even helping to paste some on some Keke in the area, which I thanked him for.
So while the man was away this young girl asked me whether I understood her language but I said No then she told me that she would have loved to speak to me in her language so that the other guy who was an employee there wouldn't understand.
When we finally got the chance to talk, this girl told me that the old man was sleeping with her for up to a year now.
During the conversation, she said that she was 23 years old and had been trafficked to outside country for prostitution before. This old man being the first person to build a house in their village, helped to rescue her and brought her to Lagos. He promised to teach her his work (printing press) and she has already learnt. The man now sent his wife away and has been sleeping with this girl.
She said she really wants to leave but she doesn't have where to go to. She has no money despite working for him because he doesn't pay her, doesn't allow her to go to church , doesn't allow other men to admire her, etc.
She has been sleeping in the man's workshop since she came and the man wouldn't allow her to use any of his personal houses in Lagos. Now he is threatening to throw her out of the workshop because she went out and spent 3 hours!
She is somehow trapped and the man is really manipulative.
She said she told her mom about how the man is sleeping with her and guess her mom's response? She said that she should endure and ask the man to gift her a house. Hmm but this man is not even feeding her well nor giving her money not to talk of gifting her a house.
This girl is in a very messy situation and she really wants to break free but where to sleep before looking for job is really a challenge to her.
We couldn't talk for long because the old man noticed that she was telling me something.
I have been really heartbroken since I heard her story and I thought to share it.
NB: She is from Delta State.
Be careful what you get yourself into. Area G Police is a stone throw from that place, why has she not go to report the case to police, If she can spend 3 hours outside. Police know how to follow up such cases especially a female inspector.
