Then apply as a single(bachelor) that you are, and for your newly established business business trip is giving priority when you are coming from a well known organisation.

In this case, apply as a tourist,be honest and pray,your luck might just shine.

Duration of the the tourist visa ranges from 1 month to 2years (multiple entry) but can be more than that in an extreme rare occasion,however, you have maximum of 6 months to stay in the US each time you are admitted into the state.

when you decide to work, you have to come back to Nigeria to process the right visa category.

I intend to start a career in the U.S marines, I had a few friends in the marines who were willing to help me get signed up but I was asked to migrate to the USA first before the process would be started becos I was told that I'ld need an alien immigration number to sign up since am not a citizen of the states. Am a graduate, not working currently, I want to know the type of visa I should apply for, I have cousins there who can easily send me an invitation letter. How do I go about my visa application and what type do I need pls. I need proper guidance.

since you have nothing other than the invitation letter to support your visa application,then go for tourist visa.

That's cool but applying with your wife would boost your chances unless you are going on a business trip, it's not logical for a married man to embark on such sightseeing trip without the company of his wife/family. Like they say, it takes two to tango!

opsy4real1: hi fastlink, am here again...i was da one who was adviced how to do it regads marital status in my last appearance at u.s embassy in sept 2012 but did it my own way. I was denied last sept on d ground that i had no compelling ties to return to nigeria at da end of my planned tour even though I was an employee at a company but i claimed 'engaged' in my marital status though i was adviced b4 goin for interview to claim 'married'. Now i have anoda appointment wit d u.s embasy by march 6 to apply to spend my easter holiday in u.s.. Now here are ways my circumstance have changed: 1) In my previous application, i was an employee as a finance officer but now i av a business duly registered wit corporate affair commision and my new position as the managing director.
2) I had one travel history(malaysia) as at my last application but now i have 2 additional travel history(dubai and south africa)
3) in my marital status, i claimed to be 'engaged' but now i'l claim to be 'married' though am unmarried yet but i remember i told d visa officer that interviewd me that i was nt married but gettin married by jan 2013. I do hope now i stand a bright chance. Thank u and i wait to read ur opinion

Hi, if it is because you told the VO that you'd be getting married by January, no problem, some times, things don't really go the way we planned it, hence that shouldn't be a problem at all, however, you are not likely gonna be interviewed by the same person.

Met this travel agent through a family friend and he packaged all the necessary document for Me and my wifey, We went for an interview (US EMBASSY ABUJA) but the application was refused.

We want to re-apply again, doe i still remember all the info the agent fill in for us, but i cant remember what he fill in as my occupation and my wifey.

I have my own Company now and my wifey working with a law firm now.

On the US application form, we need to fill in previous occupation but we cant remember what the Agent guy fill in then,

Can we just ignore the previous occupation section and put our real occupation, do you think this will not be a problem, maybe it will be ask where we both work before on the interview day.

I thought that was a God given talent! If yes then I'm afraid the talent might be taken away from him and given to another person if he decided not to put it into work anymore.

Then I didn't include all the names of my family members in my application because I was advised that since they are based in USA, it would affect my chance. Then I was denied on the ground that I could not answer some questions about my school. Now, I want to reapply for a different purpose and I want to include all the names including that of the ones in USA.

No problem,include them, perhaps the reason for that refusal is not in any way related to your family members in the usa.

lo, in as much as i do not understand your point very well. it take 2-3 working days to get your passport if your interview was successful, and the interview lasts only few minutes.

mamathrice: Well - am back from the interview and I did what I said I would do. I told the truth, held nothing back. I was told that my lies caused my previous refusals and I had broken the first rule of the system by lying.

I was given the visa. I left the embassy in tears. Even though I was given, it is still a very painful experience, especially as it was something that I could have avoided with a little honesty.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who ever finds herself in my shoes. Tell the truth and keep your dignity. It might not alwaysget you what you want but you will be able to hold your head high in the end.

I am applying for a US B1/B2 Visa. I am attending a Seminar, and the Only prove of attending the Seminar is my Registration Confirmation, which shows My Name, Registration ID, event Date and location.

My Question is:

Do I need a special invitation letter from the Seminar Organizer, or my Registration Confirmation is ok enough for me to apply for my visa. The Organizer insist they don't issue a letter.

Hello, Your registration confirmation is enough, you are the one that registered for the seminar not that you were invited for the seminar, moreover, your registration has been acknowledged with payment confirmation.

just be sure your position in the office is enough to earn you such seminar.

coming to the ministry of works you cited in your post, I'd say that is has to do with the corruption in the country, those would prefer to give contract to a novice, who they can manipulate than to a professional whom they may not use to perpetuate there corrupt activities.

And moreover, society is all about how much money you have in your bank account hence you'll find most of our Engineers in fields not related to what they studied in school.

HELL was let loose in Saki West Local Government Area of Oyo State ,on Wednesday, as persons from a neighbouring community, allegedly led a team of able-bodied men to completely raze a primary school being built on a disputed area.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the team were said to have got to the school around 4.00 p.m. when the pupils had left for their various homes and burnt the school and evacuated the items of furniture.

It will be recalled that there was a clash between Saki and Ogboro communities during the administration of Senator Rashidi Ladoja when it was resolved that status quo be maintained on the disputed farmland.

The Okere of Saki, Oba (Alhaji) KelaniOlatoyeseOlarinre II, who spoke with the Nigerian Tribune in a telephone interview, confirmed the incident, adding that those living around the school and the teachers were threatened in the dead of the night.

“Not only did they raze the school, they also took all the furniture in the school.

“The headmaster of the school came and made a report of the incident to me and he also informed me that he had reported to the police. The chairmen of Saki East and West councils and the police have visited the burnt school and they are also doing their investigation.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state Command, DSP AyodeleLanade, who confirmed the incident, said the two caretaker chairmen of the councils met on Thursday and resolved that status quo be maintained pending when the issue would be resolved.

Lanade added that the immediate past administration in the state had raised a committee on the matter, adding that the recommendation of the committee had not being effected

That nobody answered You means that there was nothing to advise You, besides, God is on your side, else you could have been given the wrongest advice at the expense of your Visa success.
Moreover, it boils down to the individual and mood of the VO.
You and your wife's appearance with Jobs must have sent all the signals required of them.

Well, when I said your company, I mean they should be the one to sponsor you for the trip and find a way to relate it to work or kinda appreciation for your hardwork even when you are the one sponsoring yourself with that they'd see your importance in your company since that is the only tie you've got around.

Forget about your 350k rent, that is transferable and does not guarranty anything.

Sorry about your loss, The lord will be your strength.
No problem, once the expiration is not over a year, it doesn't matter, go for renewal but if the Passport/VISA is not available, go for fresh appointment/regular, actually, the success of your visa application does not depend on the visa priority but on the information in your form which has the details and explanation for the missing passport and your previous visas.

maybe, my post is not clear to you. All I'm saying is; if you still have the passport with the old visa then go for renewal but if the passport(s) is(are) no more then go for fresh and enter the right detail(s) in the appropriate block while filling the form.
