Hope you'll bw able to defend whatever document you're presenting, you'd be surprised to have the VO asked you about your job and what benefit your trip would bring to your company.
why can't you sponsor yourself instead of your company and how much you have in your account and your monthly income.

To be honest with you, it won't be easy since you are still single and don't have a very good job.
Nevertheless, with good packaging, you'd get the Visa but misrepresentation has it's own consequencies if caught.

I applied to the us embassy and was denied visa, I was handed over the same form that a couple that was interviewed before me were given. I was going to travel with my 6 year old son for 3 weeks. You may be able to learn one or two things from me. The interview went thus.
VO. May I see your passports.
Me. Handed the 2 passports over both were virgin, I had my expired passport with a Schengen visa but she didn’t ask for it and I didn’t show it.
Vo. Where do you work. I told her
Vo. Job Title. Told her
VO. Have you been denied before.
Me. Yes.
Vo. What was the purpose of your travel then.
Me. Was Invited by a friend.
Vo. And now?
Me. I have an invite from a friend.

Hmm, that was not cool at all, which of the us embassies is that? UK will give you a VISA.

I think it has something to do with your previous application or the V.O. did not feel like giving you a visa.
next time, apply alone and let your family go later.

Hi, there's nothing there to help on, you've gone there already. It's already in their record, advising you to give it a shot once again won't be a good idea now.

you can reapply through your office for a conference or medical reason.

I want to change my DS160 form on my profile. I already secured a date for September 21. But am afraid if i update a new DS 160 code in to my profile i might lose the date(sept 21) cos i got dat date since May and it was the earliest as at wen i bookd d appointment. I cant afford to av a date for anoda 3 months if i change d code . That why i am asking u good people that if i change the DS 160 Code. How am i to go about it to still get d current appointment date or even earlier? Thank u

HI, log into your account, go to update profile, replace the DS160 code and save, you will be redirected to the homepage again and your date is never gonna be affected.

Hello, review the form once again, it shouldn't be " have you been refused visa to any country in the last 10 yrs before but rather, have you been refused US. Visa before .

i have 5yrs valid uk visa on my passport.
i ve been to uk 4times and UAE once in the last four yrs.
Base on ur contribution on this trend, i have applied for a training in us.
the training date is 21-22nd september 2012 but am yet to pay.
i have filled another D160 form but yet to submit
the appointment date i secured was october 4 but was resheduled to september 24....................i am still hoping to get an appointment date for august.

Can i go ahead and pay for this training or pick another training in october-march 2013?
Can i indicate in my new application that i have been denied visa before?

Yes, you need to indicate that you were denied in 2010, you also need to state the reason.
If you are sure that your appointment will be suitable for the seminar, why not! go ahead and make the payment.
Your 2010 visa denial is no longer a problem here as 2yrs is enough time for one's financial status to improve.

if your sponsor runs a personal business, it might be required but not a must. i advise you carry all the relevant documents you can lay your hands on and leave the rest for God.

However, I will be leaving for Ghana for just three days before my interview day (which is not pertaining to my visa interview or schooling). Should I hold my international passport along when traveling? I am afraid if it is stamped, the VO might ask why my ds 160 states otherwise...Or do you think I can simply tell him or her that I traveled after filling the ds 160 form? The time and day you submitted your form is there for the VO to see, what's the fuss?
Just explain that to the VO if asked.

Browse for the available hotels within the city you'd like to visit or betterstill, tell your friend to do that for you.

As per amount, it's relative, it depends on how long you are staying and the hotel bills even when you could end up staying in your girlfriend place.
I'd suggest you have over 3mil in your acct with a good source of income.
Sometimes, it is not what you have in your acct but how you have it/ what you do for a living.

Below is my situation:
1992: Someone file for US immigrant visa application which was not concluded and then I was less than 15yrs old then.
2000: I applied for US visiting visa but got denied and I was still in the University then.
2006: I applied for South African visa and was granted, this I used for a training.
2010(Nov): I applied for US visiting visa but got denied and I used an Aunty's invite(I am now married since 2007 with 2 kids).
2011(Mar): I applied for UK visa and was granted,I stated the US visa denial in my application(first time application and it was processed/approved within 4 working days)
2012(Mar): I applied for Germany Schengen Visa and was granted.

I will like to apply for a US visa by end of this year using conference and hotel reservation
Based on the above what do you think about the outcome.

outcome depends on the financial status of the sponsor, purpose of the trip and its relevance to your profession, getting your application process right, your ability to defend your application before the VO.

I actually meant the earliest available regular dates you can get online, though Lagos should be in mid october now, while Abuja's is in mid December.

you can fill another DS160 form and log in and update your appointment profile to reflect the new DS160 code

I just found it thoughtful to fall back on this thread and put up an update of my earlier us visa enquiry.i was stucked back in the days i put up my last post,i guess the 2nd of May precisely.I had issues with getting an appointment date that is suitable for my trip...I finally contacted the user called Fastlink and he did a very excellent job.He got a date for me within 25 days time frame and i finally went through the interview proccess,the Consular Officer grilled me majorly on my research work,which is my purpose of travel. i finally got the visa.i quite appreciate this forum and fastlink does a good job.
