What does freedom of speech got to do with throwing sticks, rocks or any object at anyone? You are free to insult and curse at the governor but why throw an abject at someone who is surrounded by men with guns and bullets? That is stupidity.

Chief Magistrate Court in Minna, Niger State has ordered the detention of five middle-age men for insulting the state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Bello. The suspects, Ahmadu Audu, Rabiu Muhammad, Nasiru Isah, Bashiru Shehu and Surajo Isah were said to have publicly disgraced the governor during a visit to Kagara town in Rafi Local Government Area of the state by calling him provocative names. Besides calling him names, they were said to have eventually thrown stones and other dangerous weapons at the official vehicle of the governor [/b]and that of his convoy. According to the First Information Report, FIR, the suspects were charged for criminal conspiracy, inciting, disturbance and intentional insult aimed at provoking the governor, [b]which contravenes various sections of the Penal Code law. They rained the insult on the governor when he visited the Emir in his Palace, Wednesday. When the charges were read to the suspects, they pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Police prosecutor, Corporal Emmanuel Bassa objected to the court granting the suspects bail, pointing out that Police were still investigating the matter and that granting them bail will pose a security threat to Kagara town.

Why the sensational headline? You should have had a better headline than the rubbish you chose.

Now read the highlighted lines. Nobody (young or old) have the right to throw sticks, stones, bombs or any object at any anyone whether civilian or government official. Doing so violates certain laws. As shown in the article, they violated penal code of the state of Niger.

In a civilized society like USA, UK, France, Canada and Australia, throwing rocks, sticks at a vehicle or anyone would have got you arrested and locked up in prison as well.

If you can't do the time, don't break the law. It is as simple as that.

Thank you all for the referrals.

Borehole in my area won't be possible due to rocky terrain. All borehole in the neighborhood were either abandoned due to lack of water or faulty few weeks into usage. Boreholes in this area go between 297ft-350ft. We have had two geo-surveys that came back with advise not to go ahead with borehole.

Someone introduced a guy to me who came from Togo. The guy is an expert when it comes to digging wells. I decided to dig well and we now have two wells dug recently at the site. I dug one three years ago as well. Now I have three at the site with more than enough water in all of them. This week we pumped out water with pumping machine on each well for over two hours at a time and I can categorically say the wells can provide 2,000 liters of water per day during raining season and 800 liters per day during dry season.

In all, I am satisfied with what I have now.

Jonathan was in power for six years and Fulani militias killed thousands of Nigerians in Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba, Kaduna, Kogi, Kano, Zamfara, Oyo, Kwara, Ogun, Lagos, Enugu and few other places without Jonathan doing anything about it. Jonathan kept quiet about Fulani atrocities because he didn't want to offend people in the North. Now Buhari is on the same path as Jonathan. Some of reasons why Jonathan was voted out was inaction when atrocities was going on. Now Buhari is on the same path as Jonathan. Make no mistakes about this. Buhari is on the same road as Jonathan.

I supported Buhari during the presidential election campaign and from what I have been seeing, Buhari does not really care about lives of people he swore to protect. I expected Buhari to have addressed this issue in the last six months but his actions so far suggest he is a man of no human feeling.

Nigerians are not only feeling the wrath of Fulani militias, they've been facing harassment of unruly soldiers as well. Buhari needs to start showing he cares. The body language of Buhari so far has shown he does not have any care for human life. I repeat, this man has no respect for human life.

I made inquiry last week at FG Wilson. I was quoted 2.3m. Whereas, Yamaha at Oregun now sells 13kva diesel generator for 1.6m. 65 decibel Yamaha Diesel Generator is a no brainer. They have 9-18kva diesel generators available. I should be picking one up soon.

Interested!!! Did interlocking stones before now,but I got a poor job, been thinking of removing d stones and doing a stamped concrete, but then this asphalt option seems what's best for me cos of the rain water flowing out faster!

I like asphalt as well but the burning smell of it is my only concern. Imagine the burning smell of it in an enclosed residential area.
