brabus: @ crisisng, na patience no be war go resolve this matter. Maverrick no fit fight me. He's just bittered at the moment. He'll soon get over it. But I think this case will die natural death if we let the sleeping dogs lie.
I'm open for dialogue and further discussion on the subject matter on other platform apart from this forum. You may want to setup a group chat for us to discuss a final resolve.
Meanwhile, I'm in discussion with 3strike at the moment that I'm doing this on the condition that he's ready to make peace with EgunMogaji. He's still doing the shakara but he knew I won't back out until he gives in.
Let's make the world a better place. Haba Mr. Bosun! You talked about "patience". What does that really mean? Give you some time to refund him or what?
Then this: "He'll soon get over it. But I think this case will die natural death if we let the sleeping dogs lie." Does this mean as long as you stall, maverick will get tired and forget about it?
"I'm open for dialogue and further discussion on the subject matter on other platform apart from this forum. You may want to setup a group chat for us to discuss a final resolve." ...... I thought you already passed this stage. Hajj and others already did this. Tell the whole world if you are prepared to refund the 400K. I believe doing that should solve this mess once and for all. Don't you think so?
If I were in your shoe, I would have paid the 400K and protect my name. Your name should mean so much to you, bros. |

PassingShot: Fayose will definitely live to regret his atrocities no matter how long it takes.
He lacks wisdom to realize that his tenure ends about a full year before PMB's. And should he lose his reelection bid, he will be brought to face consequences of all his past atrocities.
Let him enjoy his immunity while it lasts. Fayose has created avenues to be granted asylum overseas after his tenure. Do you really thing his screaming and wailing were done for nothing? There is alibi for political asylum written all over it. |

euromilion: @egunmogaji, I think empiree is telling the truth,a friend bought one in 2010 for $3000,I couldn't believe it then,I was full of regret because he told me about it then, but I was just like you are now, although then Detroit was bankrupt,so they needed people to wake it up to live, however the rule then, was that you must live in the house then.
I love to try my hand on one of those,if the opportunity arise again. Of course he's telling the truth. I have been reading the back and forth and shaking my head. So many Nigerians that I know travelled from Georgia and NY/NJ area and bought many properties in Detroit between 2008 and 2014. They have started getting the reward for their foresight. I thought about the same thing too but backed out of it. No regret though. |

davinchi: I used 0.45 gauge Your best bet is to remove the bad sheet and install a new sheet in the affected areas. You should have gone for 0.55mm. 0.45mm is just not good enough to withstand pressing in the machine. As a result of 0.45mm thinness, the joints are having holes here and there. I used 0.55mm Metcoppo and some 0.70mm in some area. I was advised by the First Aluminium guy to stay clear of 0.45mm because of complaints they've had. Note: I first heard from Tower Aluminium that their so called 0.45mm is actually 0.40mm while their so called 0.55mm is actually 0.50mm. I was surprised the guy told me the truth. He told me First Aluminium actually have the correct gauge as listed on their sheets. |

eghosajohnny: You can do it this way build a 3bedrm and 2,2bdrm flat to mmake it 3flat and deck it finish the ground floor you will stay at the front and rent out the 2flat of 2bdrm.
Break down below
Foundation;2.2m Block work to decking;2.3m Decking;2.7 Plastering;750 Sliding window;600 Doors;750,000 Tiles of the 3bdrm and 1,2bdrm flat will be 700,000
We might not work on the 3rd flat like the door and window and even the plastering so to use the money for electrical and plumbing of the 2 other flats but at least you have a 3rd flat on ground and a decking you can raise in future.

brabus: @Fastshipping,
The possibilities are endless. I can see the guy is doing EBM but you can still get a better design if you work with a good detailer and fabricator.
Times like this always make me want to be jack-of-all-trades.
Take a look at the window below (picture taken from The Reserve by NextHome). We made us of the cheapest Aluminium profile (one of those thing profiles you hated ) but we came up with a very different arrangement that makes it appealing to everyone who visited the house.
Someone else would have opted for a different design with some funny partitions that will take away the beauty. That's exactly what I mean by getting your designs detailed and getting a good fabricator who can build to specification. Many times good things are not always pricey when the direction is clear. I agree good things are not always pricey but EBM stands out any day. Getting the right fabricator is the most important thing now. Also, I have not completely ruled out aluminium profile. |
Properties › Re: Nexthome: 2016 Construction Daily Updates. by FastShipping: 1:49am On Feb 05, 2016 |
brabus: I've placed a caveat on recommending people. Otherwise, I could have shared number of a guy who can come with various samples of Big Profiles and probably a toilet window made with EBM. I doubt he can bring a much bigger size due to cost and weight.
But they don't need to tell you. The difference is clear! There is a guy in property section fabricating EBM. https://www.nairaland.com/2547536/aluminium-glass-systems-windows-doors |
Properties › Re: Nexthome: 2016 Construction Daily Updates. by FastShipping: 1:29am On Feb 05, 2016 |
brabus: ^^^
Sure they can. Even any other profile can get you that or something close especially if you visit Tower Aluminum office or the Aluminum Village, Lagos with your design requirement.
The problem is not the availability of the material. The problem is the fabricator who chooses to use what he knew as against what the design required.
Hope you get it now. As long as these materials are available, we should be able to find competent fabricator. I don't mind paying for few just to see if the fabricator can do it right as I want before we go ahead to fabricate everything. |

brabus: You can see what you posted above in Ikeja. Just ask for EBM. That's the name of the profile.
_______ The uPVC guys here are in Badore, Lagos. We have a number of them here (3 of them in Badore) including the popular Golden Ever (Chinese company) at Langbasa, Ajah who are the biggest maker of uPVC Windows around but I settled for this because my job requires close supervision since they're custom built Windows. Chinco won't allow me use into their facility.
Pic - UPVC door (Made in Nigeria) Can you name one company that fabricates EBM into windows and doors? I am not a fan of the so called uPVC. They are too thin for my liking. I prefer big profiles. |
