Lol! No time... You need to be reasonable in this day and time. Spending money on a wedding when you cant afford it is putting yourself in serious financial stress post-wedding days. Weddings are expensive for those who want to keep up with the joneses Also, there is an age a woman would get to that all those noise-making activities would not be necessary. All the family wants is for you to come and carry their daughter and go. They wouldn’t even mind funding the wedding for you... |

For the first time, I kinda agree with this Toks guy but only to the extent that the two individuals are single/unmarried And it's especially very true for fine babes..... To get engaged, you would have crossed certain levels of intimacy, yes? (no not necessarily sexual) so if you got engaged after 4 months, when did you start courting, or discussing marriage (not just relationship)? Is it before she died, or as soon as she got buried or when?? The problem here is not that he cannot move on with his life but to marry someone so soon? A marriage? For better or worse for life type of marriage. He is not hiring her to be a nanny for his children o... He is marrying her! And for the man to respond that he is doing this solely for his kids… So in the four months your wife has passed away, you are unable to care for your kids or family members are not available to help that you need to get married so you can have a live-in child minder? Btw, I see some of you guys on here saying this isn't weird. If a woman had done this, y'all be here screaming 'hoe' up and down Also, way to go man! Nice way to make the woman in your life feel special saying you married her solely for the children. Keep on deceiving yaselves. His administration needs to find a way to prevent further degrading Nigeria’s image with the recent message from CBN. The average Nigerian doesn’t understand that there's a liquidity issue in the Nigerian banking sector, and if you make a foreign purchase with your Nigeria debit card, your Nigerian bank cannot remit the forex to the merchant because your bank is unable to access enough forex from the CBN that they need to cover forex transactions. I'm not even shocked that most people on here don't get it, no be nairaland again? We have no forex o! It's sad that it's affecting us all but it's the result of poor leadership in the past. And no, this one cannot even be fixed in 2 years! Not while Goldman Sachs is predicting $20 per barrel and our economy is still not diversified. The day of reckoning has come! Big boys and girls depending on their oil wealth will soon come down to earth. The lavish weddings and garrish gawdy display of money will soon come to a screeching halt. I actually shudder at where we are headed. The desperately poor living in grinding poverty will start laughing at the former olowos in Swahili The dollar rationing is only going to get worse next year.
