That’s what I thought you meant. My comment wasn’t just referring to 21st century European and Asian migration but migration since the 16th and 17th centuries. When Europeans and Asians were migrating to the Americas it was for the same reasons Africans migrate, for better opportunities to escape poverty and persecution.

In the 19th and 20th century millions and millions of Asians migrated all over the world to escape poverty. Over 200 million white’s descendants of European immigrants in America migrated to escape poverty, and for better life similar to reasons Nigerians migrate today. During 16th to late 20th century Nigerians/Africans were content with their countries and were not migrating like everyone else.

The 'perceived reason', could automatically rate or limit your state or conditions of engagement in that location. This sometimes could reflect in your visa or permit you acquire. I’m not understanding why people keep saying this. Africans/Nigerians are not the first people to emigrate to other countries, in fact they’re the last. Nigerians/Africans only started voluntarily migrating in large numbers since the 1980’s/1990’s. Whereas the Irish, Germans, English, Italians, Poles, Chinese, Indians, Hispanics have been migrating for centuries even since the 1600’s and before.
Yes Nigerians/Africans should fix their countries, but what about all the other groups of Whites, Asians, Arabs and Hispanics that have been migrating to America and Europe. They came from poor countries when they emigrated too. Most immigrants by the way are Asians not Africans.

America and Canada are lands of immigrants, with the Native Americans being the only people indigenous there. Africans only make less than 2% of the populations

I also never understood Black Americans hostility towards Africans, especially towards Nigerians. They have different reasons, like the slave trade etc. But then why are they hostile towards Haitians and other Caribbeans?(Although not to the same extent as towards Africa) Haitians didn’t sell their ancestors into slavery, so that excuse is dead on arrival.

Some of their racism is pretty bad. The level of disrespect they’ve displayed is unmatched by any other group. The Black Americans literally have thousands of videos of xenophobic YouTube videos and memes towards Africans
