Hi guys. So I submitted my application at vfs today and to buttress some points made here a couple of days ago. You will only be required to submit photocopies of your docs from August 15th. They almost did not accept my original docs but I insisted and reminded them it's not yet 15th. Secondly... I just got a mail that my application has been forwarded to Canada visa office Lagos. Isn't it supposed to be Accra?? |

Thanks my broda. U have been very helpful to me. I pray u get ur trv and hope we meet in maple land. Am looking forward to congratulating u very soon. Stay blessed! TempusQ: I wish I'd your list for my application. IMO remove all the reference letters from colleagues. I think your application is 99% complete. There's one special document that's missing and without it, you're doomed. & i.e GOD'S GRACE You really have to make sure it remained with you all through your application process by prayer and thanksgiving. I don't have to remind you of staying out of sex.
Good Luck and More Grace. |

Ok I appreciate ur advice. It's too late for a change now.... and i've had no gaps at all. Academics and work. hayqinsbFX: I don't want to sound like a pessimist...
Instead of going for project management and including some explanations we are. Not sure they get to read.... I'll go for something on electrical...IT etal...U can go ahead and do ur project management when u get to canada.
About ur gaps, if u have stoped schooling for a while, it's a gap...just want to tell u to fix all gaps accordingly with necessary work experience.
PS not saying you can't get ur visa with project management, just sayng youl have more sound sleeps with a course related to elect elect. |

Ok. I have not had any study gaps. I studied electrical engineering. Got a job as a wireless engineer in a telecoms firm immediately after nysc. Same company I served. Am going for a pgcert in project management. However the reason for this is explicitly explained in my sop. It's also stated in my letter of intro from my company that based on my management qualities, I have been endorsed for a pm position but can only assume duties After getting necessary academic qualifications. I also explained why am not just doing a pmp cert et al in nigeria. I also got 2 letters of rec. From project managers i've worked with. So what else do u think I shoud get? hayqinsbFX: Faavour001
Your documents are onpoint...
I don't know your profile thouggh.....with respect to you cchoice of prooggram, previous program....your study gap etal... |

I was in uk in may. Was charged 420 naira for every atm withdrawal using my gtb mastercard. TheBae: @badtsharpguy Diamond Bank Naira Visa Debit for Intl transactions: ATM withdrawal charge: N240 POS and online: Free Annual service fee: N100 POS Cash Advance: N750 ATM Daily Limit: $300 POS Daily Limit: $10,000 (20 times) Web Daily Limit: $5,000 (5 times) Annual Spend Limit: $50,000
(@Chars1289, I believe the location has some effect on the commission because atm withdrawal for GT in Canada is about N450 while it's N1,000 in the UK |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 1:47pm On Aug 02, 2015 |
Well understood. Thanks for the explicit explanation. TheBae: If the company isn't his, then he cannot write a sponsorship letter on his company letter head because the letter head means that the letter is from from the company which is not because it is not his company. In your case, the only document that should be letterheaded is one that is from the company as an entity to use to introduce your uncle as a staff of the company. So that one should be on letterheaded paper. I hope it's clear. These are important details |

My dear... I've always known it's a wrong tin to do... but I usually see on here that people write sponsors letter on their letter head... just didn't occur to me that it must hv been written on the sponsors personal company letterhead. My bad! quote author=tnuola post=36511084]
Lol.. Like seriously you shouldn't even ask this kinda question o, your sponsor is too correct. He doesn't own the company and you want him to write the sponsorship or personal letter on the letter head of a company he doesn't own? Biko type suntin on a plain sheet of paper.
You might not know but its more like fraud.[/quote] |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 9:48pm On Aug 01, 2015 |
So guys... am currently having this argument with my sponsor. He says it's incorrect to write his sponsors letter on his employers letter head. That he can only do that if he has his own company and he doesn't have one. He further says that you don't write personal letters on your employers letter head. Is he correct |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 1:49pm On Jul 30, 2015 |
On your list of docs submitted.. u wrote visa pages. What countries have u been to?? Am curious cos I still saw travel history on your reasons for denial. Crich: Hello guys. Glory to God. I was delayed yesterday based on four reasons: Insufficient funds, travel history, personal asset, and family ties in Canada n Nigeria.
Truth be told, this CIC style of processing applications for months is the worst ever. They need to review it. Na their mate be USCIS.
So, after rejoicing with you guys and my family for 1 weeks, I received a shocker. Lol! I'm still trying to recuperate. This is a very bad feeling. All guys expecting TRV, my candid advise, to avoid hypertension, kindly prepare for the worst. If you have been called for medical, pls, know that that DOESN'T guarantee a TRV. This is my story.
Chai! So, you guys will be consoling me now. Hahahahahahahahaha! |

this is not a matter of been lazy. its a general question. diff people here must have gotten their admission without sending a hard copy of their transcripts to the school and sharing that on this forum might help one or two people seeking admission. i didnt expect a response from you if u dnt hv an answer. soji0509: But which kind of request is this one ? How do expect 1 person here to know what obtain in all schools in canada ? Don't be lazy PLEASE. Send a mail to the admission officer of the school of your interest. They are the final authority on this and other matter that may concern your interest. Their email address is on the schools' web sites. Take care |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 8:56pm On Jul 28, 2015 |
hey bro.... pls can u tell me universities that accept soft copies of transcripts?? not colleges, just universities. thanks!! soji0509: Yes, you can send the soft copy in advance and in the interim. Processing on your application can then continue while the school awaits the hard copy from your Nija school. I have seen people here offered CONDITIONAL admission self, with only soft copy. The admission letter changes to UNCONDITIONAL after the receipt of the hardcopy. This can quicken the process sometimes. It may NOT be the same for all schools however. A mail to the admission officer can always clear the doubt. Cheers |

So guys.... has any1 done this before.. add a pic of u and ur fiancee to your app and caption it. Won't stuff like that help your home ties? Lol.. I mean what ties could be stronger than love?? Just thinking out loud tho.... ur thoughts? |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 5:14pm On Jul 27, 2015 |
Can you kindly help with some universities that accept scanned copies? That will be easier for many applicants! TheBae: Some schools accept scanned copies and give you conditional admission so you can just email the school to ask if they can accept a scanned copy of your transcript. If they say no, then you have to send it via courier |

Thanks guys! teesboy: Consent letter for an adult? You do not need one bruv. ayooluwatoni: My brother/sister, when it comes to issue of visa, I submit even unreasonable documents sef, anything I can just lay my hands upon and I feel would help. I don't get it... why re these flights so expensive? Are they return tickets or one way? TheBae: Play around with your departure and arrival (if applicable) dates, the prices change depending on the dates |
