you are making so much sense!! thumps up!! TheBae: Lol you talk like everyone who applies gets denied. Or like international students are only from Nigeria. Of course it's not a charity Organization but the best they can do is provide you with all necessary documents. The amount it costs you get TRV is not their problem. If CIC says "No", please what can the school do? Nothing. So it might be their loss by -1 student from Nigeria but even if they cared, their role is limited. Well, I guess people can start rumours but if it's a rumour then it's a pretty reasonable one. |

no... not till next yr. if u re applying for jan 2016 this month. den you have a better chance. besides he didnt say they stopped issuing visas to fall applicants. just that the quota is reaching its threshold, hence the need for more stringency. lets get that right!!! justwise: We will know the truth if nobody gets TRV here till next year then, until then I take this as an unconfirmed rumour |

The only logical conclusion I can reach from these recent refusals after medicals is that cic had reached its quota for September intakes before sending those medical mails and had rescind the decision after discovering this. I stand to be corrected tho. However, I advice the affected applicants to defer to jan 2016 and refire. Dnt give up cos ur almost there!! |

Oh no.... not again herkenorlar: This is weird! !!, got medical mail July 3rd, my passport was dispatched before stipulated time given for my medicals, got my passport and it was a denial. Purpose of visit, travel history, family times to country n personal asset and financial status was selected, even though I had paid over $7k tuition deposit, added my landed properties and closing personal soa of over 3.9m just for a year PG prog. This is crazy, if they wanna be frustrating Nigerians from schooling in canada, it's high time they made this known!!! |

Docs submitted below:
-All CIC forms. -Acceptance letter (conditional) with full tuition and stipend from UofT. -Form showing acceptance of admission. -A transcript request form which I submitted to my undergrad university (This was to show that I could satisfy the conditions on my acceptance letter). -Documents I printed from the UofT website showing my tuition fee schedule and the duration of my program. (I read somewhere that these should be stated in my letter of God bless us all! |

Thanks so much sis.... I will do as u have said. Team12: So why not work towards having strong ties in Nigeria, so your ties in Canada will not be an issue?
I sincerely believe you have over flogged the issue . A number of people have gotten their TRV even after stating that they have ties in Canada. I stated that I have someone in Canada who is a Citizen, and I still got my TRV.
Your application must not be perfect. The way you are going about this, you may exalt the availability of a perfect app over God's grace.
I am sorry if i sound strict, but at times strictness is necessary to drive away fear.
Please delay no further, state that you have a relative in Canada, include them in your family info form and let God have his way! Just be sincere das all!!!! |

It should work out... Just one more thing. Did your bro return to naija after his pgd Or he is still there in canada?? Did you still put his canada address in the family form this time around If he is still there in canada.. is it as a PR or what?? standupguy: My entire family lives in Naija including my aged parents. my bro went for his PGD, and completed it last year. I submitted my employment intro letter, but I applied under the impression that my finance was irrelevant So I Ignored my SOA and assets. My first refusal never mentioned my personal finance and asset so I reapplied without it But the second time it was highlighted.
This time i included my SOA, Fixed deposit which I had even prior the two failed application, shares cert, letter from broker, and Cscs statement. I also paid of two yrs tuition. I hope it works this time. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 1:01pm On Jul 14, 2015 |
Besides your bro... do u have any other sibling in canada. Did you also submit ur employment docs and statement of account?? standupguy: On the family form you put everyone's address. so they probably saw it there and made conclusion of there own. I addressed it on this application sha, even though I applied with the same program from another school While stating the reason for change of institution too.
I just pray a patient and reasonable V.O gets to review my app and read my well detailed SOP. |

Kindly list all docs and actual figures on SOA's so gurus can advice on what u should do and undo... edogasz: I don't for now , but my sis ll be moving there next month for her phd and ll give birth there by Gods grace in another 2 months . So I ll use that when reapplying |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by favour0011: 12:38pm On Jul 14, 2015 |
This is my exact point. Did you let them knw on your family form that your bro lives in canada standupguy: Even though the reason for my both refusals were insufficient funds for tuition and living expenses, the second time it's was insufficient funds for tuition and financial status. but my case file revealed that they thought I was just going to join my brother just because coincedence which they knew nothing about brought him to the town were my proposed school was a month to my app. While I believe its very unfair to indict someone based on the fact that they have siblings in the Country, Most immigration will jump on that option when there is a crack in ur application. In my case the crack was my personal finance and asset.
Premise: if he has no money of his own, to pay for his living expenses, and the institution happens to be in the same location as his brother, therefore he must be going to join him to live with him. |

Nobody here is rili been able to explain the meaning of strong ties in canada... so can you explain it for us. The few people I have seen with that as a reason for denial hv family members in canada without strong ties here in nigeria. darefestus: Please you people should stop asking this shite question.
Dont confuse future readers of this thread.
Its not the reason for refusal, na just follow follow.
You will notice it never stands alone.
People (even in this part have stated people in Canada as part sponsors and gotten trv.
...Another guy's elder brother was studying in the same school he was heading to and he still got his TRV. |

Do you have siblings or any family members in canada Do u put their address in your family form. edogasz: Hey guys , I was delayed , but it's not the end , will tackle the reason they gave , family ties in Canada and country of residence and purpose of visit . Good luck to the TRV hopefuls |

You didn't state how much was in your sponsors account and also your relationship with sponsor. This will help prospective applicants deedee0: CIC documents • IMM1294E and IMM5645E forms
Academic documents • Letter of Acceptance from Simon Fraser University • Letter of Internship (Practicum) requirement for intended course of study from Simon Fraser University • Bachelors Degree Certificate and Transcript • WAEC result
Financial/Sponsor’s documents • 6 months Statement of Account (Salary account) • Retirement Savings Account (Pension plan) Statement • Fixed Deposit (that will mature just in time to pay my school fees) • Email message from Simon Fraser Uni that shows I can’t pay my tuition until a stipulated time • Receipt of Acceptance deposit ($250CAD) paid to Simon Fraser University (Email Message) • Letter of Introduction from Sponsor’s employer, 5 months Payslips and ID Card • Sponsor’s Contract Appointment Letters • Sponsor’s passport data page and visa pages (expired since 2011) • Letter and Affidavit of Sponsorship stating the money in the fixed deposit is for my education • Land/Street ownership documents: Survey plans, purchase receipts and CofO processing papers • Receipts from Rent of Properties
Other documents • Data page of passport • Passsport photograph • eMedical form – Upfront medical examination • NYSC Discharge Certificate • Introduction Letter as a Voluntary HIV/AIDS Peer Educator • Letter of recommendation from Principal of schools I visited for awareness • CV • Birth Certificate • State of origin certificate • Vocational skills certificates • Letter of explanation (LOE/SOP)
Finished NYSC Oct 2014, not employed. I believe you can use whatever you have to your advantage, so I used my voluntary/community development activities to cover up the small gap (HIV and Malaria awareness, I organise and give free vocational training etc.) I included CV, incase VO does not take time to read my detailed LOE, CV is straightforward and highlighted my activities. I read through the thread from part 5 till present. It pays to read back, so you will know what questions to ask and who to ask.
And I'm a simple applicant |
