I pity you op. You are just one of many gullible nigerians. Kai! I weep for this country! Are you n ur cohorts under a spell? That you swallow everything you cee on tv hook line n sinker? None of you here knows what goes on behind closed doors. One min its...oh amaechi is corrupt. The next min its..he has shamed his enemies. Do you knw that there was an understanding btwn the PDP n APC senators? Kai! Nigeria is in a deep shit. Or why do u think Buhari pleaded for soft landing for the ministerial norminees? Haba! So Amechi is now a saint n Johnathan remains the only devil. If you believe the screening was transperent then you can believe anything. I pity this country. No politician has your interest at heart. Get it into ur head. As for me one by one they will all be gone. Only time will tell

Lincolnburrows:
Honestly there was so much ado about nothing concerning amechi's ministerial screening. He performed well below par. He never offered any viable solution to the simple questions presented to him. Couldn't articulate his speech and seemed not to know the definition of a corrupt person. He seemed to be rather timid and scared to upset akpabio when asked if 19 was greater than 16(I'll leave that to ffk to decide if he was a coward).
I only regret wasting my time watching him with the thoughts that he had something to offer.
Everything he said lacked substance and this surely is a loss to democracy and Nigerians.

My two cents....and I'm neither pdp nor APC
totally with you on this. I was totally disappointed about him. I saw desperation as he spoke n lack of composure. He dint speak like someone who has anything to offer. Now that d senate has ensured they all get soft landing let's move to the next chapter

Unemployed supporting same politicians who by their evil mindedness n selfishness policies which is directed only to serve their individual interest. Nigerian youths una no get say at all. When amaechi was nominated 85 percent of people here on Niraland shouted he is corrupt!!! But it only ended here on Nira land. N today same corrupt person has been successfully screened n same youths are here saying ..wailers una hear? Isn't it clear dat an average Nigerian youth lacks a sense of direction. Quick to join the band wagon. Mind you same people defecting to Apc would be ever ready to dump it if it fails to serve their interest. The moment all of you realise that these politicians only have their interest at heart then you all will begin to look inwards. Shame! Shame ! Shame!

If you've not been to any of the airports Stella Oduah "refurbished", haven't you seen pictures of plastic containers in the arrival hall of Ikeja Airport where water from the leaky roof drops into? Haven't of passengers complain that the aircooling system is not functional? Haven't you seen pictures of the Enugu Airport being flooded during rainy season? Haven't you seen the Yola Airport's roofing sheets blown by wind?
its funny how educated persons would come on naira land n argue like kids. Was Gej d minister of aviation? N who were d contractors? Are they not also nigerians? The same nigerians shouting change! Same peeps who bribe to get contracts n no thanks to senators n permanent second who take their chunk out of the mobilization fund leaving the contractors with nothing to execute the project. Blame it on corruption n poor moral values of an average nigerian. We are our own biggest problems. We can only experience change if we are willing to do d right thing in this country weda apc efcc or phd is in power

Romance / Re: Why Do Some/most Nigerian Girls Fall Easily For Guys With Cars? by favourlove1: 6:59am On Oct 16, 2015
dearpreye:
My brother, it's indeed a shameful trend. I think a lot of factors are responsible for this behaviour. So lemme give them some slack. LOL!

Somehow it's a societal issue. We have a society that has come to idolise ostentation of affluence- especially things like cars. We're a pretty poor nation, looking from the GDP angle; hence anyone with a car can be quickly adjudged as being wealthy. I doubt I can do sufficient justice to this issue at hand. Poverty is high in Nigeria. The average woman doesn't want to be too close to someone who appears to be struggling financially. SMH! Some in laws treat guys with cars better. I believe the ladies are naturally responding to OUR society's expectations and values.

Background. I think this also has a lot to do with this issue. I had a very close female friend back at the higher Institution days. She's one of the most serene, mature, focused and responsible ladies I've met. Even when I showed up with my ride after I got a job, she didn't come any inch closer; she simply remained herself. Even when others within that our cycle of friends were visibly excited for me, she still remained herself. My woman and her siblings also fall in this category of proper family values and discipline. They're hardly moved by any material show from men. So, to a large extent, family values and upbringing are also responsible.

The lady's Personal Values. There are still thousands of ladies with some sense of discipline, though a lot more are on the opposite side. A lot of them don't even know who they are, their values, their limits of tolerance, their beliefs; almost anything goes. The issue is rather complex.

All in all, women are so wired uniquely with such complexities that us men can't fully grasp them. Even them are sometimes confused as to their true identities. LOL!
one origin for you!

APC an propaganda n Yemi a pastor is tagging along. Was it not buhari who unequivocally declared on an intl media that those who gave him 75 percent vote would feel d present administration more than those who dint. This happens only in Nigeria. Now he is also claiming that the North is more qualified than other region same region whose cut off isn't upto 50 percent compared to those whose cutoff is 130. No wonder my friend in NDLEA from kano can't make a simple correct sentence without blunders. Same people who have n still running down this counrty in more ways than one n with same propaganda they want us to believe PDP ran the country down. Pls who are members of PDP in d past Northerners now same peeps have disguised n are now in APC to continue. Now that all who brought APC to power hav been duly compensated when are d chibock girls gono be brought back? as for the ministerial norminees who according to some nairalanders "dusted the and wowed" d senators, transforming nigeria isn't all about talking too much its all about implementing n getting the populace to tag along. From the on going I can confidently say that APC fought by every means possible to usurp power. There were not really interested in the peoples interest else Lai Mohammed would have rejected that ministerial post n stuck to APC spokes persons position. As for buhari who chose to work with lawyers...he is just trying to protect himselF n his government from the people who elected them. If only nigerians could come to terms with the fact that these politicians are out to enrich themselves they wount be expecting so much from them.
