Seun:Thank you Seun for attending to my call on the Nairaland Section. |
Hi All, I have notified @Seun and definitely trust @Seun would have a mod here pretty soon. |
I am going to take time this week to make sure I get in touch with Seun. He really needs to assign a moderator to the travel section. So many criminals and nuisance are parading here and definitely need a clean up. |
NEWBIES: If you are new to this space, there are so many questionable characters you should be very mindful of. First, look at how they write- their punctuation, sentence structure and paragraphing. Check their profile and comment posts, so you know the type of humans you’re dealing with. Do not message them privately. Anyone who pushes you at 27 years or 30 years to apply to a community college amidst the rampant denial really doesn’t mean well for you. You can go ahead and waste your money. There are thousands of Universities in the U.S., why are you applying to a community college at your old age? What happened to applying to a university? Why do you have a bachelors degree and applying for another bachelors degree? Is that how much you love being denied visa? Do things the right way at least to remove any questionable look on yourselves at the embassy. Even if you have to, do you have a cogent reasons to share with the Visa Officer within the space of 2-8 mins? There are exceptional case, but is yours exceptional? US visa interview is between 2-8mins in most cases- that is how much time you have to prove yourself worthy of the visa. Do not let the criminals that parade themselves on here as agents cajole you with those sweet fine words because you will be DENIED that visa while they make money off your ignorance and desperation. I do not want to engage those charlatans anymore as I can see he has created several accounts to keep spamming the thread. The confused inebriated scallywag can’t even proofread his writing to keep a different personality with his numerous accounts. They think coming up with baseless accusations will make me pay them attention. Stay far from those charlatans and children of perdition. |

Absolute fool. |
Two pulpit thieves reconciling to continue to rip off docile cowards ![]() |
He is richer and no one gives a shit about past glory |
If you’re on here allowing agents to sway you with those cheap community colleges, you are wasting your time. You will be denied visa. It’s straight denial For anytime you do, do well to post your denial interview transcript. |
If you’re choosing a community college. Consider your age and experience. If you’re old 27 and above shooting for a community college, you’re wasting your damn time. You will be Denied. If you can see all the Universities in the U.S. and chose a community college=Polytechnic for ONDs then you’re wasting your damn time because you will be DENIED. |
Phraser:Are you going for undergraduate or graduate program? Whats the funding name or source? Is it an RA/GA/TA? How much is the deficit? Is the deficit for living expense? How much is your school fees? |
Cheundaisi:If he cannot get the hold taken off his record. His best bet is to apply wide and look for schools that will grant him funding |
@seun @justwise What happened to Justwise? Is he no longer a MOD? |
V1kt0r:You will have to wait. There is nothing you can do. Keep checking your email and the portal. That’s all you can do. |
OyoTunjiUSA:You’re calling GbeyegaD a novice 😄 You see why I laugh when I see you newbie agent posting a lot of gibberish here. We were the pioneers of this thread. Imperiouxx, Bigfrancis21, Yvette etc |
Cheundaisi:Do well not to respond to that charlatan who quoted you earlier. I don’t think there is anything you can do regarding your credit record of late payment. It’s a red flag and it has affected a lot of people who borrowed money from banks during the COVID-19 era. You can’t do anything about it. But you can contact UBA so they can give you information on how you can get that history taken off your account. Here in the U.S. if you miss a payment and it goes on your record, it would take 7 years or so for it to fall off your account. You see how long that takes. I don’t know the rules with Nigeria so you might need to check. |
DanteSilva:You’re free to go there, if you can. |
Ellskc:They do not demand for proof of relationship. Be upfront and tell them when asked who is your sponsor? Simply say, I do have a full tuition scholarship that covers 99% of my tuition and my uncle would be covering the deficit. They might ask you, why is your uncle sponsoring you. I mean they’ll want to know why your mum or dad isn’t. You can go ahead and tell them that he is your uncle and your God father who have been in your life since primary and has promised to take care of my tertiary education. |
Zihno:I have answered your question. I don’t know why you’re still spamming the thread |
Villa12:Yes, you can defer your admission without sending in your bank statement or requesting for I-20. Go ahead and defer, read their requirement and process for deferment |
yomm45:Sometimes it happens that way. Is she working? Are you her sponsor or she is sponsoring herself? Do you mind sharing her interview transcript? |
yomm45:How long have you been here in the US? Are you a Masters or PhD student? |
5eyesWikipedia: . No vex spam bot.
|
5eyesWikipedia:Can you let people have their opinion? Is Nigeria not a shit hole country? Why are you here in the first place lol. |
Kitanmercy:Your husband’s aunt sponsoring you might be a red flag. I’ll advice you retrieve your I-20 in a different way. Can be your dad or your mum or look for a way to boost your husband’s account. No matter how your supposed “rich aunty” is, I don’t see how she would fork out $40,000 per year just for you lol. Medical doctor or no medical doctor. It is hard for anyone here to believe. I don’t even believe that myself. Why not look for schools where you can get funding? If you can’t, then your best bet is to look for ways to boost your husband's account. |
Karito:For embassy, you’re fine. You have someone willing to sponsor your deficit. So you’re good. |
APAwarlord:You should have followed the Rules of EA. It is stated clearly. You failed in that front. Because some did and got it doesn’t mean everyone should. |
@rtdCivilservant I am pleading with you to let it slide. Let it go so we can have some sanity in this thread. Thank you. |
Villa12:My advice is for you to go like that and try your luck. Visa officers most time do not ask you to provide a bank statement. I am not in anyway insinuating that they cannot ask or they don’t ask. Have you gotten your I-20? |
Hi @Debbieeeeeee, Thank you for all your help and assistance. You’re one of the honest people who understands the inner works of US visa. I came on here to help some few folks who are interested in understanding how to navigate their student visa process. Back in 2012/2013, I was here like everyone else on here to navigate this visa process and came out successful and have helped tons of folks. Thank you all for helping these lads to navigate visa process. |
Please, I would also plead with all visa hopefuls, those approved and denied should share their experience. It would be a good way to help you all with the right advice. I wish you all success. |
anamo:Congrats on your visa approval and admission. 1. I wouldn’t advise that you swap school at this point, it might affect you at POE. Why do you want to resume early? 2. If you want to go on with it, first email the school you got visa with their I-20, notifying them that you’ll like to transfer to a school that starts early (School B). They should be able to transfer your record to School B. 3. You can let school B also know the situation as they might have a transfer form for you to fill so you can submit to School A. You don’t need to do anything with SEVP. Your school will do that for you. NB: if you got a visa with a school’s I-20, you have to report that to them. Your Sevis record is tied to that school |
