Not like I have your time. I hardly give attention to irritant peasants but I am here at least for today to show you that the ETSU you finished from had me before your moronic self.

You are a complete half baked nuisance.

The kid I made enquiry for applied for MS Chemistry and haven't heard back about admission decision, the reason I even decided to jump on this thread to ask. I do not need to give back story to urchins like you. Anyone with a good comprehension skill and not a despor like you can easily decipher that. cheesy

The truth is you’re actually a failure masquerading as someone with content. You’re living in a rat hole at Ketu Lagos and you dare come here to lecture us about what is right or wrong. I’m not an agent, but if you say I am, then it’s your problem.

You’re an agent of doom. Many time before now, you’ve predicted how Nigeria will crash, how dollar will enter #3000, and how you and your generation will fail.

You’re still looking for admission. And on my other account, i answered you and lectured you about how ETSU interviewed me in 2021, you asked me for tips and I gave it to you, that was just days back,,, but today you’re in the US?? Lmao, you are a bad person tbh.
Now, I see that you are truly an inebriated despot.

Clearly you also have thesame comprehension and common sense deficiency. Tell me where in any of the inquiry that states that the inquiry was for me. Show how that translate to the inquiry being for me or where I used "I" to start my question. Anyone with a good comprehension, going by my post would get I do not live in that hell home you are your poverty stricken family dwell.

I came to this thread specifically cos someone I know applied to the school. You were still in high school when I left Nigeria lol. Now, to clear you, I am an alumni of ETSU. I've been out of the school for the past 10 years lol.

You are still a kid.

Leftrightcenter:
The truth is that one can actually get one's F1 visa approved outside one's home country with no marriage ties (myself as an example).

However, you may have to be ready to prove some ties in your home country (such as properties, post study plans in your home country) or country of residence among other factors like financial capability for your studies, etc.
Don't even waste your time addressing these agents roaming around nairaland travel thread with their crass ignorance.

Justwise has been easy on them, I guess he now has way more kids to attend to. He doesn't bother much about agents roaming on here like when he was beast in taming agents back in 2013.

Whenever I have the bandwidth, I would come here and address fully about home ties.

Don't mind those racoons telling you, you need have landed property, billions, business, wife, kids to prove home ties.

There are several factors that a visa officer is looking out for.
1. Are you a genuine student who is going to the US to school and not for any other purpose the visa doesn't serve?
2. When such questions as "What do you intend to do after studies" is pretty much your home tie. US embassy in so many occasion do not even ask you for a single document. Here they are expecting you to state what you'll do after studies. Response like this would take away your immigrant intent "I intend to return to Nigeria and do x and x or I intend to Nigeria to continue with my present company on x and x capacity."
3. Remember that F-1 is a non-immigrant visa and the Visa Officer is there to look out if you are going to abide by your visa class, meaning they expect that after your studies you have plans of leaving the US or returning to Nigeria.
4. Visa interview on a good day do not even last more than 3-5 mins. I can tell mine didn't last more than 3 mins as only 3 questions was asked, now what time does the visa officer start accessing if you have billions saved, landed property, businesses etc.
5. The visa officers are addressing and adjudicating based on their discretion.

I don't have much time at the moment, but I'll be devoting 30 mins every weekend to shed more lights on interview questions.

Please, stay the hell away from Agents on this thread. Stay away, they are all hungry peasants

1. Don't say that to me again Mr Man. You are not whose mate ? Have you met me before or you think you are talking to a boy ? I was born in the 70s.

2. Everything about you is negative . Your history is following you . That was how you were telling someone that if he comes to Nigeria he would suffer than those who are in Haiti.

3. Yet , you are in the same Nigeria claiming Mr know all in one of the biggest forums in Nigeria. You are claiming Americana and you have not broken any record in America .

4. My 1st daughter is an American and just relocated finally . Are you an American ? I have 2 types of US visas b4 and presently on B2 renewed . 2 of my blood relatives (same parents) are presently US citizens. They graduated from UC Berkeley. I have never mentioned any of these in all my piece. ..

5. You have not achieve anything Mr man. Keep your 1 million . Many people have 100 millions.

You don’t have to lie bro. There are several post of yours here on nairaland recently where you were asking whether a certain school in the US hqs sent admit because you applied there. And some times back you were asking about how to navigate the admission etc. I can show you evidence if you deny this.

Why do some of you here lie like this? This is unfair to those who come here to seek useful info. You’re saying one don’t neee to prove home time before being granted an F-1 visa and that you got ur visa that way, that’s not true. The main essence of an F-1 visa is to come back after study. It’s not an immigrant visa.

And to you OyotunjiUSA, while you are correct in most of your posits, it might be neccesary to be careful of faling into excessive rants here. You’re also boasting and I actually don’t believe some of your boasting here.
lol. You irritant peasants roaming around nairaland looking for innocent students to prey on. I know you agents when I see one.

You were probably still bathing outside in your poverty ridden face-me-i-slap-you apartment when I relocated out of Nigeria. I am sure you still dwell in that hell hole. I am not here on a back and forth as I do would not be accorded the privilege to use the right words to address irredeemable clowns like you.

I have always known majority of Nigerians have comprehension issues aside being common sense deficient, so not to waste my time quote where I said I applied to a school as against making a general inquiry.

1. It is not wrong . You are not the one to tell me that Mr Bola Hamed Tinubu is the president of Nigeria . A primary 4 pupil should know that .

2. Ask all your Nigerian clients or anyone you know who are presently applying for an F1 visa to cancel their application and go to Cameroon to go and apply. It is easier to talk than making the action .

3. My elder sister renewed her F1 visa for Msc at UC Berkeley in the UK, she did not have to proof much tie to the UK because she was renewing . Many of her friends were later denied . That is not what i was discussing. I was talking about a first timer.

4. Mention just 3 people who have gotten F1 visa especially Msc and phd with zero home ties ...single, no family , he or she is not working , his or her parents are dead (zero home tie ).

*** Call out 3 people with evidences . I will transfer 50k to you (in public) for data subscription as your Easter gift.

5. Post your misleading USA visa policies on a new thread sir . Stop twisting my opinions.

I had zero home ties, no job, no wife, no kid, straight out college. Went for my interview in Ankara and Nike slides. Interview was less than 2 mins. Not a single document asked either which is a norm.

I am telling you don’t know shit. I do not need to send any proof to you for that poverty money. You must think you’re talking to your mate.

I’m well above you, so let that sink in.

I have a friend here who I personally assisted in getting someone to pay visa fee for her in Cameroon where she attended her visa interview to go for her PhD in Physics at University of Utah, another one also went to Rochester Institute of Technology.

Hey 🤠

1. No ! You have to proof ties to the present location . For example , if a Ghanaian is applying for a US visa in Nigeria , he or she will proof ties to Nigeria , Not Ghana . If he or she cannot proof ties to Nigeria , then he or she should go to Ghana and seek for the visa .

2. Unfortunately, you are the Primary applicant (the School in the USA knows you , not your husband), therefore, the embassy is dealing with you , not your husband . Your husband cannot proof the tie for you .

3. It would have been a little better and hopeful if you have applied alone and use your husband who works in your present location as a tie (it's still a bad tie, because your husband can move anytime as he is not a citizen), but you have worsen the case by applying together .

4. You are applying with your tie 😊 So what tie will both of you leave behind in your present location ? Your kids or job ?

5. Well just put all your efforts and be positive. But , you have a complicated visa application already.

Best Wishes 🙏
This is wrong. Absolutely wrong. You do not have to prove ties to the country you are applying for visa.

Everyone has to apply for visa outside of US. I renewed my visa first in Mexico and second in Canada.

I do not have ties to those country and visa was issued.

A friend travel to Cameroon for his visa interview and was approved.

Since you are applying for a non-immigrant visa, they are looking to cancel any immigrant intent.

Now, there are no set rules to this anyway. A lot of people get visa without zero home ties. If they see genuinety in you based on the visa officers discretion, he/ she would issue you your visa

VO: so why are you going to the us
Me: (prepared) I’m going to the USA to pursue my bachelors degree in computer programming with specialization in software development at Brigham young University Idaho.

V0: why BYU
Me: I chose Brigham young university Idaho for three main reasons, to begin BYU Idaho is owned and operated by the church of Jesus Christ which I am a member of, so I chose to go to a school where it’s gospel center learning, I also started and completed my predegree at Byu pathway, graduating as one of the best students with that I got acquainted to their educational system and I believe this will bring educational cultural shock to minimal while I study on campus..
VO: ok what does your dad do
Me: me my dad is a successful entrepreneur he’s also a service advisor at XYZ he’s been working there for over 10years.. he deals with importation and sales of heavy truck spare part and also servicing of vehicles.. cuts me off
Vo: okay so I see my co worker interviewed you the last time, what has changed
Me: since the last time I was here,I attended two conferences expert tech Nigeria and art technology Lagos, this ignited my desire to continue my education, I got to understand that the knowledge and skill I’ll gain from this course is essential for my career objective, also the last time I was here I was really nervous and could not articulate some questions properly, which may have made me give wrong answers to some question the VO asked

Vo: sorry I cut you off earlier what does your mum do
Me: my mom is the manager of B and J catering services a company owned by my dad, she’s also the owner of joy cleanings, she earns about 65 million naira annually , together they both paid my international student advance deposit of $4000 and would have no issue sponsoring my education
Vo: I do appreciate your bla bla

Am I required to comeback to submit it myself and exit the US and re-enter with my renewed Visa? Or I can send my passport down to Nigeria and have it dropped on my behalf without any consequences?

I mean won’t my I-94 give me away that I didn’t leave the US?

Please I need genuine advice as I’m trying to avoid the cost and logistics of coming down to Nigeria, and also the wait till the visa is issued.

I can't find where to start a thread on this so I'll just do it here.

I'm in the US and have no green card or work papers. My dad did me wrong and didn't get my green card. I've been here the last 21 years unable to work a regular job and mostly homeless. I've decided I should just return to Nigeria so I can at least work, etc. But I have questions:

How do I go about doing this? I don't have my Nigerian passport anymore and would have to get another one. Also, who do I talk to here in the US? I want to be back where people are generally comvivial or hospitable. There are plenty of opportunities in America, but they usually come at unforeseen costs. I don't want to be here any longer as not even the churches here are willing to lend a hand. Everyone here is selfish and if you're not selfish before you come here, you will be after.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
You will suffer more than those homeless people in Haiti if you return to Nigeria

Please can someone help out?

I just noticed I made some errors in the DS-160 I filled which I have already submitted, and I’ve entered the application ID in my ustravel where I’m looking for F-1 visa interview date?

To update my new DS-160 with correct information, what do I need to do? Should I just go ahead and fill another DS-160 or what?
You can edit an already filled DS160, however, it would generate a new code but all your data will auto populate then you can go ahead and change the info you need.

To do this, go to the website, enter the state you want to do your interview, enter the secret code and click on retrieve application.

Once you’ve done this first step, it would take you to where you’ll input your current DS160 code, enter the code and click continue, it would show you where you’ll enter the first 5 letters of your last name, year of birth and answer to your secret question. Click continue when you’re done.

A pop up will open and you’ll select, create new application. Continue with all you’re seeing on your screen to fill your application.

It’s an easy quick step.

Once you’re done, go back to your visa appointment page and click on update application information (something along that line) then you you’ll see your preview DS160 code, erase and type the new one and save.

When you’re done, go to your page and generate a new appointment confirmation so it can carry the new DS160 code.

Hello,

I’m not sure if your MPH was funded or provided any scholarship, but if it does, it may be better to attend the interview while going for a Masters degree as it show’s academic progression. You can always change schools/programs when you enter the US.

ABSN is the better option here( to me). The opportunities for a US trained nurse is unlimited. Some APNS make way more money than medical doctors. If you can afford it, by all means go that route.
How does APNS make more than medical doctors? Which one of them makes more than medical doctors?

I already advised that clown she would be denied at the embassy with that ABSN I-20.

Good evening everyone!
I did applied to a University in the USA for MSC and I was given. To cut the long story short, I have personally followed the process up to the level of entering my Visa application, however I have some few clarifications before entering some information on my DS-160 form online.
For the purpose of visa interview and consideration for approval;
1. Would it be proper for me to fill that I have record of been trained in fire arm and that I am retired from the military service?
2. Would it be proper to choose "Retired" where the question in respect of where I currently work comes up since I am truly retired but still developing myself academically and doing some remote work. Would it not be a red flag that I am retired and not currently working in my country home.
3. Is it proper to indicate that I have relatives in the US since I have close relatives there?
4. Moreso,I got loan approval to cover my tuition and living expenses for a session including a supporting statement of account from a sponsor. My question is which of the two is more appropriate to fill in as the person paying for my trip?

Contributions from experienced individuals on this subject is highly needed.

Thanks for your responses in advance.
Don’t listen to anyone who tell you not to mention your military career in your profile. I have a friend who is in Nigerian Navy and she is here on her PhD program. She didn’t take out her experience.
