Wrong, it's only 20% and the FG is even trying to sell off their participation in the project.
Arguing about the numbers will derail and obscure the point I seek to make; which is , Lagos state rakes in revenue from the ports

You are still making the same mistake, thinking business men are not active godfathers and players in government! There's no systematic marginalization anywhere, if such a thing happened then GEJ should be considered a betrayal, all the senators and house of Rep members from the South South and the South East are traitors. Why are we so afraid of the truth in this country? It is easy to play the victim card but it only takes a look inward to realize we have all been SCAMMED! The Seaports favors all Nigerians so what sense is there to close them just to spite a group of people? This is nothing but the work of WICKED and CLUELESS governments! We have had Yoruba, Hausa and Ijaw as presidents and none of them fixed it so excuse me if I don't see the marginalization here!
If you hold GEJ responsible for not fixing the mess after staying in power for 5 years, are you exempting those whowho let the other seaports rot for decades?

Now that's hypocrisy and double standard!

The use of one seaport in Nigeria is a fallout of a flawed federal system which has become centralised. And it's a deliberate act.

Nigeria loses billions daily for using one sea port.

Is it not shameful that cars are cheaper in midget African countries with just 12 milion people? When Nigeria with nearly 200 Millon rely on countries like Benin and Togo for cheaper product?

Stop lying boy, The airports, seaports and their agencies are owned by the FG.

Lagos does not earn any tax from them.
Lagos state earn revenues in seaports situated in her land in royalties, duties and indirect taxes

Even the Lekki Deal sea port that's undergoing, Lagos has 18% stake while the federal government represented by NPA has about 50%.

It is never compulsory to comment with tribal emotions overwhelming your cognitive abilities.

No be by force!

What does private citizens have to do with government agencies? Did you just say this? There's a place called Silicon Valley in the USA that controls 80% of the INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY for HOMELAND SECURITY. There's a company called Berkshire Hathaway along with a couple other companies responsible for mos insurance laws in America. It is only those with low business acumen that would say private citizens have nothing to do with government agencies. Why can't rich businessmen put pressure on their representatives to bring development to their communities? Must everything be so difficult in this country! The problem of closed seaport could have been fixed by 3 different presidents now but it hasn't, this tells you it has nothing to do with tribes but the wealthy people in those areas refusing to invest in their communities and rather putting all their resources in the development of Lagos. You are right about one thing, all Nigerians are suffering from the lack of seaports and it would be beneficial for everyone but make no mistake this has nothing to do with marginalization but lack of leadership and true patriots of the Niger-Delta areas!
and you're liking America to Nigeria, a place of naturalised oddity!

In Nigeria private individuals or firms do not make the rules. The body in charge of ports in Nigeria is the one and only Nigeria port authority (NPA) not even state government can meddle in this.
Everything, from airport, to seaport and railway system is Government exclusively. Not in America where Government lias with private institutions in research and partnership. The only times Government here are prepared to collaborate with private institutions is in double taxation of the citizens.
I believe the systematic neglect of other ports in the country is a deliberate move borne out of propaganda and fear of the unknown.

It is a myth .
There was port in warri .
Those ports used to export produce to Europe , Asia and America under the western region . They collapsed not too long after the Midwest was created . The ports still exist .
NPA? Junkyards, deliberately abandoned by the Federal Government.

I don't want to go into how all these ports collapsed under the ministry in order not to derail this thread.

So it's no longer oil but seaport monopoly. Let me ask you a question, Port Harcourt, Warri, don't they have governors, senators and representatives in government? I could count at least 10 billionaires from that region, why can't they work together with the government to reopen the seaport? Forget about Buhari, why wasn't this done when GEJ was in power? As long as people like Asari are considered champions of the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta people will continue to suffer because it is clear he is only fighting for his own pockets!
Patch up your leaking emotions: All Nigerians are suffering the lack of seaports in other parts of the country that bound the Atlantic. The car you bought at whatever price is as a result of the high duties charged in Lagos because it is the only international seaport in the country.

And what has private hands got to do with opening of government agencies? In your school they thought you international seaport is set up by individuals?

Warri, port harcourt ports were all functional in the early 80s before it became just a junkyard.

By the way, Lagos remains the only true cosmopolitan state I Nigeria; tribeless

Lagos takes more federal government resources then all of northern Nigeria and enjoys Government monopoly more than Dangote.

All oil companies have their headquarters situated in Lagos robbing the host communities of taxes and employment indirectly

By closing all sea ports and allowing only Lagos as the only direct international sea port as gateway all import and export by sea Lagos is enjoying federal government's illegal monopoly when Port harcourt, Warri, etc can also serve as international water gateway. This has made Lagos the sole recipient of international taxes of thousands of Multinationals and other import duties who have set up shop there due to logistics of seaport proximity.

Other states bounding the Atlantic should have a functioning sea port. This has led to corruption and congestion in Lagos ports and high price of imported goods like cars...

TravelRe: Lady And Boyfriend Killed In Fatal Accident At Police Road Block In Anambra.PICS by Fearlez:
Only in Nigeria do the police treat every motorists and cyclists as a suspect, stoping cars randomly hoping to see one or two expired vehicle licence as a means of extortion.

The Nigeria police have failed and should be dismantled and reorientated. No where else in the world do the police stop vehicles randomly to "search" the receipt of personal items and motor particulars.

The only difference Nigeria police have with armed robbers is that they go about their operations in uniform and have the blessings of the Government!

RomanceRe: Slay Queen In USA And Slay Queen In Nigeria. Pics Added by Fearlez: 3:06pm On Jul 02, 2017
Escabado:
It's obvious in Nigeria we turn everything upside down, a slay queen in USA is different from a slay queen in Nigeria , a slay queen in USA is a young girl that has a decent job or a decent business enterprise that like taking sexy picture. But here in Nigeria a slay queen is a typical ashawo and runs girls without any source of income.all dey do is to sell there body for sexxx, buy clothes and begin to take sexy picture to attract more male customer to sleep with them and pay them money
A Slay Queen in US can be either a male or a female. The definition of Slay Queen in America has no bearing with what Slay Queen is in Nigeria.

However, Slay queen which is in a feminine aspect depicting good fashion and beauty for women applies both in Nigeria and in the US
Christianity EtcRe: Why I Left Christ Embassy Church by Fearlez: 2:48pm On Jul 02, 2017
I have no pity for Op. I actually wish him more disappointed.

In uniben while attending Believers Love world which was the campus fellowship of Christ embassy, I saw everything wrong in that church and quitted within 3 months!

Which pastor could curl his hair with cream every week without missing the schedule? Not even Nollywood actors who are in show business can be so obsessed with their looks.

A man that attended Ambrose Ali university (Ekpoma) speaks with a phony accent. That's deception and marketing strategy.

A man who tasks students for donations during birthdays

A man , although fair in complexion, still bleaches his skin to a shade as fair as him palms.

Only those who are spiritual slaves with chronic mental depletion will not question the ethics of that man long time ago
