1, Before the balkanization of defunct Eastern region did the people of the current states of Rivers, Cross river, Akwa Ibom and part of Bayelsa state agitate for a separate region from the Ibos dominated Eastern region or not?
2, The state of Delta, Edo and part of Bayelsa now SS were part of the defunct western region, before the creation of defunct Mid west region, have you ever seen the SW crying wolf that SS is a political demarcation?
3, Have you ever seen a SS'er complain of being identify as SS'er or attach by force with SE like you Ibos do?

* If Okuns from Kogi who are Yorubas are given their own state, will that mean the geographical place they occupy will become south west ? Will it not be content that they are politically secluded from other folks and can politically aligne without interference with the South West?

If Anioma's proposal comes true with Onitsha in the East as headquarters, it will make no significance what region it belongs to.

The importance is akin to what Yorubas in Kogi and Kwara desire.

It warns that if someone contracts gonorrhoea, it is now much harder to treat, and in some cases impossible.
The sexually transmitted infection is rapidly developing resistance to antibiotics.
Experts said the situation was "fairly grim" with few new drugs on the horizon.
About 78 million people pick up the STI each year and it can cause infertility.
The World Health Organization analysed data from 77 countries which showed gonorrhoea's resistance to antibiotics was widespread.
Dr Teodora Wi, from the WHO, said there had even been three cases - in Japan, France and Spain - where the infection was completely untreatable.
She said: "Gonorrhoea is a very smart bug, every time you introduce a new class of antibiotics to treat gonorrhoea, the bug becomes resistant."
Worryingly, the vast majority of gonorrhoea infections are in poor countries where resistance is harder to detect.
"These cases may just be the tip of the iceberg," she added.
Throat infection
Gonorrhoea can infect the genitals, rectum and throat, but it is the last that is most concerning health officials.
Dr Wi said antibiotics could lead to bacteria in the back of the throat, including relatives of gonorrhoea, developing resistance.
She said: "When you use antibiotics to treat infections like a normal sore throat, this mixes with the Neisseria species in your throat and this results in resistance."
Thrusting gonorrhoea bacteria into this environment through MouthAction can lead to super-gonorrhoea.
"In the US, resistance [to an antibiotic] came from men having sex with men because of pharyngeal infection," she added.
A decline in condom use, which had soared because of fears of HIV/Aids, is thought to help the infection spread.

Symptoms can include a thick green or yellow discharge from sexual organs, pain when urinating and bleeding between periods.
However, of those infected, about one in 10 heterosexual men and more than three-quarters of women, and gay men, have no easily recognisable symptoms.
Untreated infection can lead to infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease and can be passed on to a child during pregnancy.

Others in the East felt igbos will have genuine tentacles into the Niger Delta region with that creation of Anioma.

You're generalising. That a pocket of Southern igbos deny their root for political reasons isn't enough. Ohaneze, the soci-cultural group of igbos incudes every southern Igbo village.

Nnamdi Kalu has not drawn any maps and I doubt he has skills in chorology. I once coincidentally tuned into radio Biafra while driving last year, the closest he has ever come to align Biafra is through language and not by region.

Hausa was never indigenous to Lokoja. Hausas were refugees in Lokoja. The deposed Sarkis and Barons in Hausaland were driven South to the river basins by their Fulani conquerors. When British came to colonize they met resistance with the Fulani Emirs. They in turn were deposed and driven South to a refuge area in the basin and under the watchful eyes of the colonial administrators.

Lokoja was a tributary of Old Oyo. Old Oyo fell much after the first wave of deposed rulers sent Southward. So Hausa were guests and subjects under Yoruba dominion in Lokoja. By the time of the British establishment, Old Oyo had fell to Fulani. Our hold on Lokoja were not as resolute as before. After the second deposition and Fulani Emirs joined their Hausa kins in Lokoja Islam grew and overtook the city further cutting back Yoruba hold.

During successive military rule North consolidated their hold on Lokoja and brought in new settlements to dilute the Yoruba enclaves. We lost three important cities to the political North, Ilorin, Katunga and Lokoja. Ilorin and Katunga through war, Lokoja through our own self doing. Till today, the Yoruba ruler, Olu of Oworo is independent and does not pay homage to the Hausa ruler in Lokoja.

We are very prodigal and careless politically. Omoluabi has dwindled away our fortunes.

If I may add, river basins are naturally blessed for agriculture and commerce. Lokoja is a prime location, even moreso than Ilorin...but we failed to see the worth. If we are not careful, in another 50 to 100 yrs we will be completely irrelevant in Lokoja culture and politics.

Nigeria’s former First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan, on Thursday alleged harassment of her family by security agencies and sought House of Representatives intervention.

In a petition to the Lower Chamber, Jonathan urged the Federal Government to call the agencies to order.

The petition was presented at the House’s plenary by the lawmaker representing Okrika Constituency of Rivers, Rep. Bright Tamuno.

Presenting the document, Tamuno urged the house to wade into the matter in consideration of the sacrifices her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan, made for the country.

According to him, no former first lady has been harassed like this before, and in view of the sacrifices that her husband has made for the country, the house should consider and call the security agencies to order.

In the petition, Jonathan alleged that the harassment was being orchestrated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and other agencies of the Federal Government.

The Speaker, Mr Yakubu Dogara, referred the petition to the Committee on Public Petitions for further legislative action.

The former first lady had petitioned the House on a similar in December, 2016.
