It's a no brainer that energy provision is one of the easiest way to make money. With Solynta energy business model, I believe everyone can make good money, from the sales agent, to the part timers that refer friends and businesses.

uzokebes, there could be several explanations why the solar street light are not functional months after installion.

1.What is the quality of hardware used(solar panel, battery etc), was there a specification given to the contractor or was it awarded based on nepotism as is the case with 101% of government project in motherland?
2. Was the contractor installed it to last few months or 25 years
3. How much of the approved budget was used to execute the project? I reckon some PAs had eaten about 50% of the contract value and the poor contractors were left to just install something and get their cheques after sign off.

BTW, where I live in the Middle East there are solar street light that has been operational for years

Fejiron, why don't you open a new thread for your advert? If I indeed need the services you advertised, I won't consider working with you as spamming other people's thread reveals you are unprofessional. Don't you think so?

There is no doubt that Solynta is on the verge of solving Nigeria biggest problem, Electricity. With an always ON or 24/7 power supply, new jobs will be created in millions, manufacturing Industry players will breathe a new life.

I arrived Lagos about 48hours ago from my Oil rich Middle Eastern Sultanate base.

I visited one of the posh/choice area on the mainland, magodo GRA (a beautiful GRA) albeit noise population generated by the power generators), the power supply from the grid has been very erratic, my friend has an Inverter system installed, however he sttill need to run the annoying generators since the batteries need to be charged .

I engaged my friend with a discussion on why he procured only an inverter system and not a complete package with solar panel for him to be independent of the national grid (PHCN) and the litres of diesel burnt daily. His concern was the upfront cost for the Solar panel.

I did mention Solynta model of paying 20% upfront and spreading the balance to 24 payments. He thought the idea will fly, however Solynta should be catious of the individual residential segment on how to enforce the balance/monthly payment are being paid by customers as at when due.

@ Conceptkid, that has been clarified if you read the previous posts on the thread, by saying The Easiest Way To Get Rich, Barcholder means the opportunity is enormous, a completely blue ocean, an untapped market, providing solution to problems millions of Nigeria face every other day. If you have a solution to resolving the epileptic power supply in Nigeria, I agree with him that there might not be a better way to get richer easier, However he did clarify its not a get rich quick scheme.

I hope he has been unbarred.

Hi Uvie,

I sent you a mail on solynta and urecruitme mail boxes.
Its a no brainer that Nigerians will embrace Solar Power with open arms based on the model you have put in place. Government cannot provide 24/7 power supply in Nigeria in the next years but can improve on the current 6000MW generated, if generation reaches the 60,000MW demand it will be more expensive than solar power as cost of deploying Solar Power will continue to decline, reason why Solar has continued to gain traction in Europe, America,Australia and it's been given considerable attention in the middle East where I live.

The email I sent give a hint of my involvement with Solar Energy and how I wish to be part of this.

Anxiously expecting your response to my mail.

spyder880: Thank you, points noted also, you are welcome. You mean 4 flats of 3 bedroom each, for sale or for rent? If for sale, can we sell each unit differently or sell them together as one whole unit? Let us talk more about the whole possibilities.
4 flats of 2 bedrooms, 4 flats of 3 bedrooms for sale. I believe focus should be to sell the units individually, that way we have more customers and word of mouth will spread the good works and could easily go viral.Social media marketing could be employed to drive sales at little or no cost too.
Properties › Re: First Nairaland Property Investment Partnership by feasy1(m): 11:04pm On Feb 07, 2013
Hi Spyder and folks, Count me in as an investor.

I agree with Sagewood that target cities should be narrow to four namely Abuja, Enugu, Lagos and Port-Harcourt for the first set of properties.

It will be great if we have investors / builder in each of the 4 cities (Enugu and Lagos seems covered with Spyder and Junapril) for easier, and cost-effective research, planning and monitoring of the projects.

I also believe we should consider option of buildings of 4 flats as I believe this project has the chance of raising the required funds if we gets our act right, with the previous posters experience and Spyder knowledge in the industry, its doable, a cost/benefit analysis of bungalow in comparison with 4 flats will help see which is more viable and make an informed decision.

As regards the meeting, the investors in Nigeria can meet while those outside can dial in via skype. Its difficult to have everyone under one roof since we are geographically dispersed, Technology will take care of that.

I believe the opportunity is enormous here. let the brainstorming continue....
Sports › Re: Victor Moses Touching Story by feasy1(m): 9:32pm On Feb 07, 2013
straneur: This is the story of a young boy whose parents were murdered during 2002 riots in Kaduna. He was aged 11 years at the time. His parents, Mr Austine and Mrs Josephine Moses, were missionaries until they met their untimely death. The boy left his house to play football but returned home to see that all his parents had laboured for had been razed down and he would never see his mother and father again.

He was taken to London by his uncle almost immediately after the incident. While in London, he began deploying his football skills. Though his parents were murdered, his passion for football was never killed. He played football for his school and later for a local Tandrige League club until Crystal Palace FC approached him. From that point, his career progressed in leaps and bounds.
This player played for England's under 16, 17, 19 and 21 teams between 2005 and 2010 scoring 11 goals for England during this period. He later moved to Wigan Athletic and now he plays for Chelsea.

This footballer is called VICTOR MOSES.
His story is a touching one, We share his pains. We also share his courage. He had a choice not to step into Nigeria again but he didn't take that option. When the call to serve his fatherland came, Moses dumped England and embraced Nigeria. That is patriotism!

Today, we see a Victor Moses bringing joy to every Nigerian including those who may have inspired his parent's death... That is Love!

On Sunday, Moses would stand for the National Anthem and pledge allegiance to a country that couldn't defend his parents. That is faith!

Moses would deliver the "African Cup of Nations" trophy to Nigeria not minding what had happened in the past. That is forgiveness!

Moses rose through bitterness and despair to the limelight of hope and courage.
He never gave up on his country. He persevered. That is purpose!
If someone like Victor Moses, despite the bitter past, Never gave up on Nigeria, then why should we? ONE NIGERIA, ONE LOVE!!!
- Wole StreetJournal (For Hope For Nigeria).
Very touching, He didnt write Nigeria off, Many people will not step on naija shores anymore if faced with the same circumstance

Victor Moses bringing joy to every Nigerian including those who may have inspired his parent's death... That is Love

That is spot on

ediddy02: The key to entrepreneurship is to find that thing that wakes you up in the morning and gives you joy when you think about it,that thing you can do and not get paid for rather you keep doing for the love and passion. You'll be surprised to see how happy and enthusiastic you become doing it..Entrepreneurship is fun!

You just do what love doing whether you're making money or not and every other thing follows.. keep the faith keep hussling and keep being positive.find your niche and start growing small and before you know it you'll see yourself in a position you never believed you will.

Don't blame the country or your father or your friend everything can start with you.

Goodluck !
Good contribution there bro

Isnt this a true reflection of why we aint getting things right in this country?? three people have called the advertisers to order, yet they won't stop. they find it hard to follow simple instruction. For the Inverter supply business. Are you not better of opening a thread of yours where it will be more feasible??

BTW, I found a good opportunity on the business advert thread after my last post, called the OP and we might be on the path to create lots of jobs for the unemployed.

BTW, you dont need to spend years thinking of ideas, there are uncountable millionaires in America, China, Brazil,UK without a single idea of their own, its about spotting opportunities, harness it and build a business around it, no amount is too small or big, As difficult as it might sound, you dont need the millions to make things happen, look around you today, spot problems, create a solution to it, continue to refine the solution based on market response, make your customer your God (customer service is pretty bad in Nigeria, there is ample opportunity in that space)and they'll always come back.

There is no better time in history to be rich than now, 50 years ago, the only way you can contact someone say in China or US would be via yellow paper probably obtainable at the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, but now you can do international call by the seconds, you can even skype free of charge, lots of B2B trade website.

The OP started the thread with the intent to share ideas, rub minds and advice budding entrepreneurs how to move to the next level. IMO, this thread will fare better if there are no phone nos, contact me on email and any other adverts. Adverts can be placed on other threads.

To the topic, We need to change our mindset in Nigeria, entrepreneurship require hard work and dedication its a no get rich quick stuff and you shouldnt compare your self to the next neighbor politician that became rich overnight.

Nigeria is full of opportunities, lack of amenities and security challenges in Nigeria is a blessing in disguise to Nigeria entrepreneurial folks. If those were not there, the opportunities will be very few as the international companies and conglomerates will be in every nooks and crannies of Nigeria already, they have ready made access to cash and loan abroad and would have invested in every sector and readily available opportunities.

Look around your environment, your local government, your state, what problem can you proffer solution too, that people will be willing to pay for??
I have read about countless fraud cases on Nairaland as regards to trade, can you provide an escrow based web trading platform, a la naija ebay verifying users to ensure fraud is reduced to almost zero.. you said that require cash?? What of supplying agricultural produce? Some villages just outside Ibadan has in abundant plantain that goes for about NGN4000 per dozen of bunch of Plantain(Each bunch has between 12-15 plantain). A bunch of 4 is retailed between 300-500 (depending on size)at Magodo Shangisha gate. You can make good profit above 50% competing with the existing suppliers.

There are countless opportunities offline and online, you only need to look around you, be creative, thirst for success, dont take NO for an answer. And you'll be soon.

Feed yourself with the right information, put yourself in the creative state of mind, instead of watching show biz everyday, if you must shows, why not the business reality TV shows, Shark Tank, Dragons Den, Apprentice, Angel's Gate.

She was in Nigeria when we spoke over the phone, her naija number then was 0810 815 6723, I was surprised when she asked how to dial my international number, didnt expect that from someone that live in the States.
