Flowers: Am finally back home with my baby after 7 weeks. I met many nairalanders and they were helpful. Dr. Fagbohun was really nice, didn't like one of his doctors that took the delivery. For those considering him, he's very experienced and nice but very busy and therefore your appointment with him will be so brief. He doesn't take all the child delivery as he has other doctors assisting him. The services in Oakbend was fantastic, nice nurses who were very responsive. The pediatrician we visited after discharge from the hospital was so detailed, considerate with charges as she gave discounts on test conducted and her services. The members of a church we attended were so kind and helpful. Favor on all sides. Thanks to all that helped to make this journey a success. In conclusion it was a beautiful experience. Welcome back Flowers and thanks for the feedback. i'm also using him and will be there by month end. You will be my guide o, in case I'm lost as to what step to take..*big smile* Love to your little one |

FCBee: God bless you Freddy27. I feel like hugging you right now. But my concern is this, is there any place on the form where i can say i want to have another baby there? And also state that i had a baby there and i paid all my bills. I just dont want it to be like I didnt state it. Although when i got my previous visa, i wasnt pregnant even though i mailed the embassy when i took in and decided to go. So im just worried about how to show i had the baby and paid all bills. Did you have to do that? Or they just renewed without issues? *big smile* I'm happy I could be of help. You don't have where you'll state childbirth. However, they might use their discretion to call you since they have ur record of childbirth. Keep all your receipts + zero balance statement. There's nothing to worry about. Our americana dream must be complete o...lol. |

FCBee: Hi GenoMi, sorry to bother you. Please how did you go abt the dropbox thing? I had a b1/b2 b4 pregnancy, had my baby, need to renew now. Please help Hi dear, I used the dropbox for renewal as well. Fill the ds 160 form, print ur confirmation, pay your visa fees, go to dat 'schedule appointment page', a series of questions will follow. After answering them for eligibility, a dropbox confirmation letter will appear. Print the letter + ur payment receipt + ds 160 confirmation + 2 passport photos + intl passport and take to DHL. No additional document is accepted. 8000 naira to submit and return ur passport. |

prolify: Hello Association of Healthy American Baby Project. I've been a silent reader on this thread and I can't tell u how much it has helped me. I have so much to say but I'll try to summarize. I got my visa thru drop box(abuja) in oct then sent sent a letter of change of intent to d embassy in nov(i didn't want to try myself with that interview o)didn't get the traditional response, mine stated I should let them know ooo.well I didn't let that discourage me I went ahead to get other documents ready, got a ticket via United however that particular flight was operated by lufthansa and POE was Washington which I wanted cos I didn't have energy for Houston @all o,layover @ frankfurt was abt 4 hours, flight to D.C abt 9hours hmmmm.dat was when d journey started to take its toll baby O wasn't finding it funny @ all and he made sure I knew it.On my arrival @ d.c I went into d restroom put on a little makeup and headed out trying to access which CBP officer had the strongest face and who was likely not to stress me 2 much, but b4 I could make up my mind I was ushered to the very guy that l didn't want to have anything to do with that was when I asked for all the angels in heaven to come to my aid o.I walked up 2 him and after the usual pleasantries he asked what are you here for? Me.christmas holidays and to have my baby.CBP.do u have an idea of the cost?Me.abt 10-20k dollars.CBP.Can you afford it?Me. Yes.CBP how long would you be here for?Me.3 months.CBP.how do u intend to pay?Me.i have cash of 2k dollars and my debit card.CBP.what do u do?Me.Am a Bleep.CBP.its not illegal to birth in the U.S but you have to pay your bills if not you can be sent back.Me.Am fully aware of that sir.He does the finger print and sends me on my way and that was it,no secondary inspection no document presentation nothing @all.Am so sorry for the long post, am still new @ this I can't even type the POE ?s as well as you guys do.but wanted to share my experience with the house.hope this helps some1 Congrats Prolify |

Mrsfad2014: @ babe16. Am currently in Dallas, I flew inn over a week now and Av been searching for hospital and obgyn. Today I had my first visit in Dr Dennis Abbas office who usually delivers at Doctor's Hospital, white lake. He charges $2400 and hospital is about $3000 for normal delivery. The doctors charge include all the tests and sonogram. Like I am a rhesus negative and they are not charging extra fee for my anti d Rogan injection. You can google him and make your decision. Hi, can we have his contact please? |

nomanicole: Its now my turn to share with d house, after discovering this beautiful thread with adequate info..i read from page one till the end, 2 diff times with my hormones, lol...today i had my interview in Abuja (9:30am) with my mum and husband and it went like this.... VO: Good morning Me and hubby: Good morning My mum: Good afternoon, lol (t'was past 12 pm) V: so you wanna go to the US forrrr?( Waiting for response) Hubby: we want to go have our baby VO: point of correction, your wife is having the baby not you, thats the way it works okay? Smiling Hubby et me: laughs VO: can I see correspondence with a doctor hubby: opens envelope and was trying to bring out all mails and chats and appointment with doc.when d envelope wasn't cooperating the VO then asked for the whole envelope. VO: can I have everything? Hubby: Of course..hands the entire envelope wit my darling phema's burden of proof's carbon copy VO goes through everything page by page, statement of accounts, mind you, my resignation letter was also attached as I just left my place of work. He asked about that and enquired to know how long I worked with them and why I left, before I answered, the VO answered for me, saying..you dint really like the job, did you ?..so I laughed and said I just had 2 put up with it and when I couldn't handle it any more..I left. ( we both laughed) He did some calculations while still staring, i think we stood there for like 20 mins..felt like days though! Then he asked to explain some money in my acct that came in and went out last month.. I explained and was about to bring out proof just so he knows it wasn't a loan or anything. He said nahh its ok..I just wanted to make sure you could explain it. And he passed all our papers and at that point I closed my eyes...only to hear VO: your visa has been approved, pick up on Friday ....... wow! I ran to weewee and danced small in d ladies. Came out to meet my hubby and mum that were waiting for me with wide smiles. I thank God for his mercies, he is ever faithful. Information is key...it really pays to be honest. Congrats dearie! |

okies... thanks You need you LGA identification. They requested for that when I had my first e-passport. It is easy to get, just go to your LGA secretariate with 1 -2 passport photographs or someone in your village can help arrange it for you. It is an important doc that you will always need |

I used draw box and I intend sending an email to them soon although I was nt pregnant when I renewed our visas. Bt if it is conscience issue, then u can send them a mail that u wish to renew ur visa for birthing purpose b4 sending ur application in. |

@kizluv, I don't think it takes anytin to be polite ! When you did your dropbox, u didn't state your intention as goin to give birth even though u were preggy! This is where my question actually comes in .
I undastand the bit of no supporting documents.so since u didn't state birthing as your reason for travel and u were obviously preggy wen u applied, how wil u go about it? |
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by feddy27: 9:44pm On Nov 14, 2014 |
@malory84, please don't be quick at concluding that I didn't read thru ur post. You did dropbox wen u were not preggy and declared vacation thereafta u sent dem a mail tellin dem ur intention to birth ur child.
In my case, I'm already preggy and was askin if any1 has done dropbox declaring her purpose as childbirth and if she needed to add any doc like doctor's correspondence.
It will be nice to understand pple and be polite in your response. |

Good morning all. Thanks for the insightful pieces of information on this forum. My question is this: I am eligible for the dropbox renewal process cos i was earlier issued a b1/b2 visa dat expired last month. However, my husband is a first time applicant. I'm thinking if i should do the dropbox for birthing purpose and wen mine is out, he goes for his interview or should both of us go for an interview together? Pls advise |
