It only takes a few casualties to turn the tide. If the Taliban hold foreigners hostage , the negative sentiments against Biden will abate.
This is a sword that can cut two ways.As usual you only look at a situation that makes Republican lose face.
I doubt many democrats are happy with how the withdrawal was handled. And how Joe is vacationing while Rome burns. Sen Ted Cruz was lit up for vacationing in Cancum while Texas was out of power over winter. Joe Biden is vacationing during a very serious crisis, he has flown Marine1 18 times in one month alone, he refused to maintain 2500 troops as adviced by his top generals. Kamala Harris reportedly does not want that shit pinned on her.
Its embarrassing for NATO to admit that those leaving Afghan are only able because the Taliban let them leave .

Trump family friend, associate Ken Kurson re-arrested on cyber-stalking charges

Seven months after he was granted a pardon by then-President Donald Trump, Ken Kurson, a friend of Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and a former associate of Rudy Giuliani, was arrested Wednesday in New York on new, state felony charges.

Kurson received the pardon from Trump not long after federal prosecutors in Brooklyn charged him in October 2020 with cyberstalking related to his 2015 divorce.

The so-called President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, fled the country with 4 cars, chopper full of cash. He was not given permission to land in Tajikistan, then he decided to go to Oman. Reuters quoted Russian news agency RIA to report that Ghani had to leave some money behind as it would not all "fit in".

"Four cars were full of money, they tried to stuff another part of the money into a helicopter, but not all of it fit. And some of the money was left lying on the tarmac," Nikita Ishchenko, a spokesman for the Russian embassy in Kabul, was quoted as saying by RIA. Ischenko cited "witnesses" as the source of his information.

Ghani's current whereabouts are unknown. Reports claim that he is in Oman after Tajikistan denied the aircraft carrying him the permission to land. Reports also said that Ghani is headed to the United States. In a lengthy Facebook post just before leaving Afghanistan, Ghani had said on Sunday that he is doing so to avoid bloodshed. Laporta : Extending Lionel Messi's contract would have made the wage bill accountable for 110% of revenue, which La Liga refused to accept.

Messi announced an emotional exit from the Nou Camp last week and signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year contract.

"Our salaries represent 103% of the club's total income, that's 20-25% more than our competitors," said Laporta, now in his second term as president after winning March's election.

"The first thing we had to do when we arrived was to ask for a loan of 80m euros because, otherwise, we could not pay the salaries. The previous regime was full of lies.

"Barcelona has a negative net worth of 451m euros - it is a terrible inheritance. What has been happening is very worrying."

This was the agreement.

The February 29, 2020 peace
agreement struck by the Trump
administration and the Taliban
contained four parts:
1. "Guarantees and enforcement
mechanisms" to prevent Afghanistan
from being used as a terrorist base
from which to launch attacks on the
U.S. and it allies.
2. "Guarantees, enforcement
mechanisms, and announcement of a
timeline for the withdrawal of all
foreign forces from Afghanistan."
3. After the first two conditions were
met, The Taliban would start intra-
Afghan negotiations with the Afghan
government, which took place in Doha,
Qatar.
4. A permanent and comprehensive
ceasefire would be an item on the
agenda of the intra-Afghan dialogue
and negotiations.
"The four parts above are interrelated
and each will be implemented in
accordance with its own agreed
timeline and agreed terms. Agreement
on the first two parts paves the way for
the last two parts," the written
agreement said.

BEIJING (Kyodo) -- China on Monday expressed hope that the Taliban will establish a political structure that would lay the foundation for the realization of lasting peace in Afghanistan, effectively accepting its takeover of the Asian country.

China wants the Taliban to "curb all kinds of terrorism and criminal acts as well as enable the Afghan people to stay away from war and to rebuild their beautiful homeland," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters in Beijing.

No words to describe this shocked huh
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9897201/Terror-Kabul-airport-Troops-fire-shots-air-desperate-Afghans-climb-airbridges.html
---From the link you posted below---how is the collapse of the Afghan government, Biden's problem---yes he have underestimated the rapid turn of events---

The Taliban's stunning and rapid takeover of Afghanistan was the result not only of their battlefield strength, but also a sustained push to force surrenders and cut deals. The insurgents mixed threats and lures with propaganda and psychological warfare as they took city after city - some with barely a shot fired - eventually capturing the capital Kabul.

How did this happen? Why didn't the Afghan army put up a fight?
As foreign troops began their final withdrawal in May, Washington and Kabul were confident the Afghan military would put up a strong fight against the Taliban. With more than 300,000 personnel and multi-billion-dollar equipment more advanced than the Taliban arsenal, Afghan forces were formidable - on paper. In reality, they were plagued by corruption, poor leadership, lack of training and plummeting morale for years. Desertions were common and US government inspectors had long warned that the force was unsustainable.
Afghan forces put up strong resistance this summer in some areas such as Lashkar Gah in the south, but they now faced the Taliban without regular US air strikes and military support. Faced with the smaller but highly motivated and cohesive enemy, many soldiers and even entire units simply deserted or surrendered, leaving the insurgents to capture city after city.

How did the Taliban take advantage of low morale?
The seeds for the collapse were sown last year when Washington signed a deal with the insurgents to withdraw its troops completely.
For the Taliban, it was the beginning of their victory after nearly two decades of war. For many demoralised Afghans, it was betrayal and abandonment. They continued to attack government forces but started to combine those with targeted killings of journalists and rights activists, ramping up an environment of fear.

They also pushed a narrative of inevitable Taliban victory in their propaganda and psychological operations.
Soldiers and local officials were reportedly bombarded with text messages in some areas, urging them to surrender or cooperate with the Taliban to avoid a worse fate. Many were offered safe passage if they did not put up a fight, while others were reached through tribal and village elders.

But leftists always have better suggestions. Let's hear yours or the Biden administration.
--- From the look of things---the Afghanis want the Taliban to rule them because there's no way the Taliban with few thousands militias should overpower the highly trained Afghan forces (trillions of USD spent) without the full cooperation of Afghanis---reports abound of Afghan soldiers fleeing to neighbouring countries or in some cases willingly surrendering to the Talibans---

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has joined Cameo, an online platform that lets people pay public figures for personalized videos.

A personalized video from Giuliani costs $199, his profile said.

"If you have an issue of concern that you want to discuss, or a story you'd like to hear or share with me, or a greeting that I can bring to someone that would bring happiness to their day, I would be delighted to do it. It can be arranged. We can talk through the magic of Cameo," Giuliani said in a video on his Cameo profile, which had two five-star reviews at the time of writing.

In a video for a New Zealand real-estate agent named Samuel Chatwin, Giuliani promoted Chatwin's real-estate business and told viewers to subscribe to his podcast, "Rudy Giuliani's Common Sense," to keep up with US news "that a lot of the big newspapers and networks aren't telling you."
