i am in shock to think that govt expect small investors will want to tie their money down for 2 to 3 years. this will be counter productive. small players will be greatly affected by this policy. how many individuals will have the time to deal with stock brokers who are the dealers. i think the rich want to hijack the system to further suffocate the poor
You dont actually have to hold for the period..

It is expected to trade like shares on the floor of the exchange. That is why Stock brokers are being involved in this now.

Considering how much many of us fear these brokers...anyway it would be in my CSCS statements

WOW!!!

These guys dont want us to earn like them anymore....

so its either we buy in the secondary markets at reduced rates or higer rates depending on the market conditions or we go for the Savings Bond with their miserly rate there...

Hello all, what is the recommended rate for 364 days at this week's auction? I am thinking of 18%.

Below were the stop rates for the last OMO dated 17-02-2017
174 Days 18.0000
321 Days 18.6000

Does this give us an idea of what to expect this week?

cc: feelamong
I was told that an OMO was held today...yet to confirm from my banker friends...would confirm by morrow...

Till then...I would just just keep mining bitcoins.. cheesy

Gurus in the house, what rates are we looking at for favorable bids this week.
It seems the banks have dried up their funds and channel same towards the forex markets.
Does it mean, we will get higher rates this week, as per lower demands?

feelamong, ukay2, Alikote, ogas
banks actually got some inflow on friday and the Inter Bank rates dropped form about 110% to 18%

lets watch how today's trade in the secondary will go..

I will be buying dollars daily as the price continue to drop... cheesy

http://nairametrics.com/interbank-lending-rates-hits-200-as-banks-borrow-from-each-other-to-buy-forex/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter

Nigerian Banks are on a buying spree and they are borrowing at record rates to do so. According to a Reuters article, Nigeria’s interbank overnight lending rates, the rates at which banks lend to each other, spiked to a record high of 200 percent on Thursday. The reason for the spike was no other than Forex.

Banks were reported to have made dollar purchases as the central bank sold forex in fulfillment of its promise to sustain supply. Banks are expected to sell on to customers at a juicy margin of about 20%. Purchases will only be for those looking to travel out of Nigeria either for personal, business or medical travel. Forex will also be purchased by those looking to pay school fees abroad for their wards.

This is already affecting the yields of Treasury Bills in the Secondary markets... Yields spiked UP yesterday as many banks sold off their Tbills to go and buy Forex..

Abeg gist me more...I want to set up a local bitcoin exchange and need to be able to get regular cheap bitcoins

PussyKrook:
@ Kasson

Be very careful about people asking you to contact them outside the forum.

Most people here will sell you bitcoins at the current black market rate. This means that you won't likely have enough margin to make good profit.

If you want to invest in BTC as exchanger, you will need to look to maybe bitstamp, or other online sellers.

Go to Reddit, search for Bitcoin exchangers and you will get more than enough. Read the reviews, read user responses, etc.

Just be very careful. Some people here would scam you real good.

if you need further help and guidance, mention me and I will further guide you

PLEASE I BEG FOR YOUR PERMISSION AS I POST THIS IMPORTANT INFO******

A few months ago i discovered Bitcoins through someone in this forum!

After buying for some time and hoping for an increase, i noticed that the price fluctuates and as such could be tradeable (Buying at times of low and selling at times of High)

This led me to searching for reputable coys that I could Invest my Bitcoins with so that they trade for me.

I found one and did a research on them to be sure they are reputable.

The coy is CRYP TRADE CAPITAL...they are based in SPAIN

They actually guarantee at least 17% monthly return (Dollars) on your Bitcoins investment.

I have invested here for the past 3 months and just felt i should share!

You can pm me for further info.

PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR THIS!!! JUST WANTED TO SHARE AN INVESTMENT INFO THAT IS WORKING FOR ME! cool cool

Team16:
feelamong. Please I need your help. I sent my bid for 364 days at my rate of 18.39% with Gtbank and my account officer told me that my bid failed at that rate. Please what do you think about this. Stop rate yesterday was 18.449%. He was saying crab about bank having to make profit and all those stuffs. From all I could get is that, GTB bids at a higher rate and sell to its customers at a lower rate in order to make their own profit off your money. So anything higher than their rate won't be submitted because they don't make money off it. Please any Gtbank debit higher than 17.9% should comment. Thanks
If i were you I will make trouble with the bank until i see their MD...

someone is clearly short changing you..

Is the procedure for the secondary market similar with that of the primary market? I'm using GTBank . Also what are the interest rates for 364 days at the secondary market now?
For secondary markets transactions..I usually shop around..

most times I ask my investment bankers to shop around for the best rates..
