MCeemajesty:A slight improvement from the last Auction results.... I think we might see an uptick in rates in the coming days.......some people must fund the new govt borrowing for the improved N10Tr budget! |
tritritri:Best time to go shopping... |
TREASURY BILLS AUCTION 20/03/2019 91 DAYS ----10.30% 182 DAYS ------12.20% 364 DAYS ------12.34% These rates are really not looking good any more o |
Interest rates fall further as portfolio investors flood market …CBN auctions N89.5bn T-Bills at 10.75%-12.84%…Oversubscribed by N200.17bn https://businessday.ng/exclusives/article/interest-rates-fall-further-as-portfolio-investors-flood-market/ |
dexla:Rates not looking good! 91 days - 10.75% 182 days - 12.50% 364 days - 12.845% |
CompareDBest:Also add the custody charges for holding the Tbills for you |
GonFreecss1:The Bonds and Money market is bullish.....expect lower stop rates in Tbills |
Nigeria’s FX market is at its most liquid in 4yrs …As foreign investors flood into bond market after Buhari victory…I & E window trades climb 120% to $4bn in one week https://businessday.ng/exclusives/article/nigerias-fx-market-is-at-its-most-liquid-in-4yrs/ |

lancee:hahahaha..i spend far more time now trading cryptos looking for 10% daily there. Our NSE is too slow for one on the fast lane. I got a mail from TRW stockbrokers saying they are now selling down on their sukuk bonds at 14.5% discount rates... I think its a far better deal than what the Tbill has to offer now |
kamsy4God:these rates are not smiling anymore..... Time to look at the those selling down on their sukuk bonds.....one might get as much as 14.5% there |
zamirikpo:Stock market is falling while the Money market is bullish. when rates are dropping (Price rising if you deal on bonds) in the Money markets, it means the market is bullish. However its bearish when rates are rising. however in stock market, when prices are falling, its bearish; i think that is the best time to even look for some good stocks to buy if you can take the risk. |
TotoNaRubber:Jos breweries used to listed on the stock market. I think you should be talking with your stock brokers and not the company. The stock brokers can reach their registrars for you..(If the coy is still listed on the stock exchange) help you to dematerialise the certs and then help you to sell it. |
The amount of liquidity in the market is something else. These politicians really brought out some big cash sha.. CBN OMO Auction was crazy today. over N1.2Tr chasing the N927B CBN had to offer. One year closed at 14.3% expect lower discount rates in the coming days....unless CBN starts sensing that FPIs that bring in dollars are no longer doing well again.. |
TREASURY BILLS AUCTION for 27/02/2019 91 days - 10.9% 182 days - 13.01% 364 days - 14.37% |
Today's Auction was madt!! massive funds in the market and all rates crashed wella.. One year rates looking at 14.37% (make i try confirm am first) |
TREASURY BILLS AUCTION 13/02/2019 91 DAYS --- 10.97% 182 DAYS ----13.40% 364 DAYS -----14.95% |
drotba:Nice!! |
while we are talking about Politics....Some FPIs sneaked into Naija and invested heavily in our Treasury Bills and Bonds last week. I expect the yields to keep dropping as the elections approach and after elections. The time to move in is NOW! |
Gavrelino123:You are not certain of anything these days... Yields in the Secondary markets are coming down...seem our foreign brothers are already shopping once again ahead of the Presidential elections.. |
kemshade:Go to another bank and ask for secondary markets rates |
murphyrichy:If your bank is being non responsive..vote with your feet. Move to another bank that is responsive. |
Grupo:Hmmmmmm!! Let me not comment what I wanted to comment... See you guys on the next page ![]() |
MummyIMadeIt:yes I trade cryptos...Tough bearish market now. Good time to learn too! |
unite4real:Excellent move! very good for those who can go such long term! |
Finally decided to go Long! From all Indications, I do not see our rates going higher than the 15%...CBN seems battle ready to hold at that rate for now. nevertheless I have also put some funds in Money Market Fund with present yield at 12.45% maybe just maybe, we might see some more Oil shocks which may put pressure on CBN and Naira....Then we can move from Money market fund to Treasury Bills at higher rates than we see now. Also have my eyes on Stocks/Cryptos......the bears there keep making me happy; We shall all make Money this year!! |
Gavrelino123:Happy New year bro... |
Gavrelino123:Yield is different from discount rate |
ahiboilandgas:Exactly why its important to hedge your Treasury Bills bet with Eurobonds investments! as a policy, i always have about 40% of my Investments in Dollars (Eurobonds) The returns may be low but in times of devaluation, you will be surprised at how much you have gained in Naira. |
ahiboilandgas:I will lock in for one year when the one year yield is at least up to 17.5% happy days are definitely in the offing |
AUCTION RESULTS....28/11/2018 10.9000. 13.1000. 14.4500 |
jidobaba:You will need N50M to buy Tbills in the Primary market... Secondary market na for us talakawas...and the secondary market can be arranged anytime, anyday and with any amount. |
