estasplash: Hello house! First timer here. Pls I have a visa that expires on the 11th of september and I intend traveling on the 1st of September cos my due date is in November. I want to know if I have to apply for a visa renewal before I travel (that is before the expiration date of the visa) or I should apply for renewal when I get to the US ( that is after the expiration of the visa). Will I be allowed into the states with my almost expired visa wen my due date is in November? I need answers plsssssss I think it's best to renew ur visa to be on d safe side, am also due in November I renewed my visa last week, the previous visa was to expire in August. I don't think it's possible to renew ur visa in the US since u are not a permanent resident there, you can only file for an extension of stay, that's if you need to stay beyond the date stamped on ur pp at ur point of entry. |

Please advise Call their customer care line again, am sure you ll get a different response, at worst you ll buy at the airport on ur departure. |

KayLayChi: Back pain is one of the side effects of epidural, and I hear it gets worse if you carry heavy things like when you carry your baby with your carrier. That was one of the reasons I endured labor pain cos of back pain in future. I heard same b4 I had my baby and vowed not to use epidural but I had an emergency CS so I had no option , since I had my baby have had no back pain, my baby weighed 8lb 10oz at birth, he is 6months now and weighs 10.5kg and I use a carrier often and carry heavy stuffs , still no Back pain... |

customised87: I dont share that sentiment though. I flew BA with my baby in March and i was made o pay 200$ for my 3rd 23kg bag which i felt should be baby's luggage. I called BA severally before my travel date and i was told over the phone that my baby is entitled to a 23kg bag,a stroller and a car seat, only for me to get to the airport and they said thats a misinformation. I even asked at BA desk in Heathrow and they said baby ain't entitled to any luggage. The thing pain me ehn,i swore never to fly BA again for misinforming me. Wow,that's strange, My baby had a 23kg baggage allowance + car seat, stroller & a diaper bag |

FinanceFitness: I totally agree with both of you, flew BA last year with my first and the experience was way better than Delta. Delta doesn't even have safety belt for infants. You have to carry your infant on your lap when the fasten belt sign is on....
Very true, flew delta within America with my baby, I asked for an infant seat belt when the fasten belt sign was on, I was told no infant seat belt, I had to extend my seat belt so it could fit us both... |

favoredgal: I think BA is the friendliest when it comes to women with babies with excess luggage. I dint pay an extra dime despite the fact that my two bags were overweight.
Infact the guy asked me to check in my hand luggage for free so all I had was my baby bag
Another friend said the same as well Seconded! That's the only reason I keep flying BA..they are very Lenient with over weight bags and always offer to check in hand luggage for free without even weighing it |

I am 10wks + pregnant, is it too soon for me to send the change of intent email? If You have used the visa for the purpose you acquired it then it shouldn't be " change" of intent, rather " notification" of intent... You can send it whenever you feel like, you have enough time |

bliz123: Please what address do I send d email to and what will the content be. And will I get a response from them. Meanwhile this is our first time travelling to US. Will our intentions be geniue?? U mentioned my intention, that will be at POE abi?. Explain what burden of proof more..thanks as always Did she deliberately lie about the pregnancy or she dint know about it as the time of interview? Lagos or Abuja. Lagos - LagosNIV@state.gov, Abuja - consularabuja@state.gov. Yes you will get a response from them, it's a generic response, though you "may" be called for an interview Your intentions will be geniue as long as you're Truthful, it's not illegal to have your baby in the US When asked at the POE your purpose of visit, simply say the truth Burden of proof: Docs corespondence, docs appointment, proof you can pay your bills without accepting any us government aid. You can read part2 of the thread for more info. |

Turkish Airline...when you don't pay the Price...you ll pay the price..... I flew them in August /September to the uk The Turkish are not exactly friendly, but they like babies sha (was in Istanbul for a few days ) The airport staffs are very unfriendly, communication is A BIG problem cos they barely understand English, racism is at its peak, getting a trolley was a headache, for every airport assistant we asked , we were turned down over and over again and right before our very eyes they were assisting all the whites that came after us,I dislike the airport, the food on the plane is whack, thou the plane is nice at least it has more leg room than BA(lagos to London route), my baby's car seat got missing( thou it was delivered to me some days after in London ) a lot of people dint get their luggage on arrival, then they r very strict with their baggage allowance, overall it's not worth the stress especially for a preggy |
