Please which courier service is BLS using? My younger brother's passport has been dispatched since last week Monday but hasn't been delivered. No tracking number was sent to him and reaching BLS through phone or email has been frustrating.

I picked up my wife and children's passport close to travel date as we needed to travel for the Christmas holiday. I was discouraged by high ticket prices and very long layovers for available airlines. I was at the verge of cancelling the trip till this year when something pushed me to check ticket prices through neighboring countries. At at first try, I saw return ticket in Ghana for 135k. I couldn't believe my eyes. I ignored and check if I could fly from from Ghana. I went back and saw ticket of 708k for a family of 4 with 1:30mins and 2:30mins layover both ways (Tap Portugal). I got return ticket to Ghana for 82k each and that was how we avoided the December high ticket prices with long layovers. The price difference was enough to pay for our stay in airbnb. If you are traveling light its an option you can explore because the ticket prices from Nigeria is really killing. One more thing, port of entry query was much easier.

But sadly those payments were not lodgments but since payments were close to application dates and were without proofs they thought it was lodgments and were repeatedly been mentioned in all refusals. For instance annual leave allowance without a corresponding payment letter from owned company. I carefully explained everything.

Just picked up my passport with a visa on my 4th attempt lol. First attempt was refused for auto cancelled hotel booking and unexplained deposit. Second was cancelled for unexplained deposit despite my many explanation as well as third refusal in March 2019. 4th attempt I printed one year account statement covering refusals from second denial till date and I tabulated every single credits and corresponding debits with evidence of how the other payments came in that weren't salary and it was a very long list of about 5 pages of cover letter. in fact a primary 5 pupil could understand it. Submitted September 3rd and got email that my application has been concluded on 23rd. I was a bit skeptical because I expected a longer consideration given that they would need time to consider everything.
My take: don't give a limited information. make sure you use the additional details space on the application and if not enough politely direct them to read the cover letter.
Just before I forget, I send my cover letter to a mate here who have turned to be a family friend and he was like.... your words harsh o. I said leave it cos I feel oppressed. In fact I summed up my yearly salary and compared it to the 4 other credits I received within the year that was causing the refusal and I questioned the significance of the amount to my total earnings. I queried all previous 3 refusals and demanded a careful treatment lol. After submission I faulted myself for being kinda rude. But my expressions were logical obviously clear. I got it. I submitted the regular documents for a self employed person. My fear was using 2018 tax clearance as I haven't gotten 2019. And again the new sticker was different from my wife's sticker. If I hadn't handled it myself I for fear self.

I hope your master card is funded and you chose the pay at hotel option. Hotel reservation is a big factor in making visa decisions.

I was running out of patience because application was submitted 16th April and we got decision notice 21 May but visa was issued 8th May. Maybe the delay was one of the problems with TLS. My wife had hers at VI on 16th same date with my friend at Ikeja. Still no responds for my wife's application but my friend have since picked his passport with VISA. This is already a month.

I’m filling the UK visa application form and there is a problem answering the question correctly “ How many times have you visited the following places in the past 10 years”? I have not been able to answer more than two history even when I chose 2 to 5 times. It takes me automatically to another question after entering two. Don’t know is anyone has same issue. I wanted to enter USA 3 times and France once. But it takes only two usa and bring the other options that’s not related to this section. What should I do?

Fekeri... best advice. Rewrite your cover letter and attach documents to show that you run a company. Make sure your cover letter explains it all.

I once applied and was rejected. I reapplied after one week when I got my passport back then I explained more better with supporting documents. I got my visa.

Thank you for your contributions. I own the company and there is no side hustle. We have one account for business and as well operations.

I did not use my salary account for side business. The deposits into that account since 2017 till date were strictly salaries except 3 payments - school fees refund from post graduate school 165k, refund of 110k from 3D wall papers and approved travel allowance for 2018 and this were all clearly explained.

I own the company but business payments are dealings are handled separately from personal accounts and the in the sponsorship letter, the amount and purpose being for return ticket, accommodation, feeding and transportation was also stated and hence I added the business account statement.

I feel the ECO did not read the cover letter. I really do want to reapply to explain the last 3 deposits in the company account of 5th and 11th. Although I did not see that as lodgment because the transactions were genuine transactions and the last transaction was made 10days before I printed the statement. I want to reapply but want to be sure what went wrong or how to draw their attention to these explanations on the cover letter.

I'm a bit confused myself. Are you self-employed? Meaning do you own the company or you have a side hustle?

Company is sponsoring you for the business meeting need to submit an operations account.... that is one from which they draw funds to foot monthly expenses (salaries, office maintenance etc) instead of one which handles funds used for business (customer payments for goods and services).

The company bank statement the ECO saw probably gave him or her a wrong impression that the funds paid into that account are meant for business strictly and not for sponsorship of trips etc hence why having an operations account is advisable.

I also advise that as a salary earner, avoid using your salary account for private business inflows you cannot adequately defend or explain convincingly.

In the sponsorship letter your company issued you, did they state the expected cost of the trip and or what would be covered?

In summary, the ECO wants to be sure that you are gainfully employed with a steady salary paid by your company monthly and also the company is capable of sponsoring you without dipping hands into their business funds.

I applied 26th February. Priority.

I attached my personal account statement and explained everything in the cover letter. I’m convinced the ECO didn’t read the cover letter because I clearly spelt out how the deposits came in as salary and tallied with the company salary payment. And the other two smally refunds. I also referred to the previous denial in which my salary was judged excess. Anyways I need someone to give me idea because even the company up there are wondering of the refusal too

Would I have also explained all transactions in company account, I only needed to submit company statement because company were paying for the trip. That I own the company doesn’t mean I have to spend from company account that was why everyone have to get paid and ensure company operate independently.

My visa application to the UK was refused and I got the letter today as I intend to visit a company I have been negotiating purchase deal with which sent invitation letter.

Although I have previously been refused for u explained deposit which was also not as seen by the ECO. sometimes salary comes the last date of the month or first day of the following month so it brought my salary to 8 salary payments in 6 months and that was reasonably understandable.

Apart from my salary I received 3 other deposit which was well explained. One being payment of my father’s landed property which was sold and money shared. And a refund of excess school fees from the school where I do weekend masters Programme. Another refund of 110k from the excess wall paper purchase to beautify my house. Apart from that there was no other deposit and these were all explained in the cover letter. But got refused initially.

This time the other deposit apart from my salary was the school fees refund showing the name of my school and the refund of 110k from the wall paper purchase.

The last deposit into the company account was 11th and the statement was printed 25th so how is this lodgement?

The company was not even contacted and here the refusal letter in the attached file. I feel the ECO based their decision on my previous application. But after the previous refusal I applied to spend the Xmas in Paris with family and got the visa and spent 10days with family in Paris.

Please gurus check and advise as I want to reapply to ensure the completion of the transaction.

I added the company account because they were paying for the trip. And I own the company with salary structure defined for myself (Director) and other staffs.

Just to be sure..... will all credits into company account be explained? I laid emphasis on my personal savings account which was questioned previously but didn’tto explain company account deposits. What’s your tae on this.

I have been a follower here and the help I got here helped my shenghen visas previously. And although I was denied UK Visa last November for a very flimsy reason that I received 7 months salary in 6 months resulting from the fact that July Salary was paid in August 2nd and August was paid in the last day of August bringing in two salary credits in August. I was shocked that the Eco did not consider the series of payments that run from June to November but questioned that I had more credits that my 6 months salary even when I explained the other small deposit of 110K which is far less than my monthly salary.

Now I have received invitation from a company in the UK to continue our discussions and planning for a project involving a machine that we intend to Purchase. And although I own the company, we design salary structure for everyone including myself to ensure company's finances are not mismanaged.

And since the company will be responsible for the ticket and accommodation would you advice I take part of the responsibility personally, given the question how much you intend to spend for the trip.

Your input is needed to avoid any form of mistake.

We are now in Paris for the Christmas holiday. Two questions I tackled at the port of entry in Amsterdam.... I filled I was going to use Ethiopia airline so would enter Paris directly and not through another shenghen country while applying and I also change the hotel haven gotten the visa. But while issuing the visa the authority added the hotel I used as family member or inviting person so the changes raised question since I told the officer that I have no family member in France. They needed to search thoroughly and my answer was satisfactory. Just in case for other intending to apply. Be guided.
Now who’s in Paris city centre? Let’s party!!!

Don’t forget to add a cover letter explaining the reason for your travel and all the places you would visit in each of the days. Sure it will fly.

I submitted same day. Got notification that application was received 5th. Got an email from the hotel to update my card for the reservation on 17th. Called the hotel immediately to reconfirm my hotel. Got message that application have been processed on 18/12/2018. Received my passport yesterday with visa validity stating from yesterday 18/12/2018

Picked up my passsport today 18/12/2018 and got France (Sheghen) visa with my wife and two kids. My wife’s younger sister living with us was refused though. I really want to thank the house as the lead posts helped my application. Please help interprete the attached slip on the visa. I just wanted to spend the Christmas holiday with my family in Paris.

I have followed this trend recently and noticed the error I made in my previous application which was that I did not state my refusing at USA embassy and I made a mistake with amount I intended to spend and the total amount earned annually.

Since then my wife have been to the USA twice and returned within 2 weeks. I have traveled with my family to Dubai, South Africa and Kenya. And I have personally gone to Singapore and Spain.

I own my company and have a fixed monthly salary and expenditure running on my personal account with funds in my corporate account and personal account.

Please guide me so I don’t make mistake again and what are my chances. My wife’s USA visa is still active and my 2 kids are just been issued their USA visa too. I was away with work so I didn’t apply with them but their traveling date to the USA is December.
