1x2x3: You are blaming the P2P forgetting the real thieve are your bank MDs who CBN release $$$ to but you would never find the Dollars available to buy from them. Why would anyone want to buy $$ from P2P if banks are willing to sell?
The CBN sell $$ to the banks at N1500 the banks instead of selling to the public at N1550 they prefer to reserve it for politicians or BDCs at a much more higher rate like N1600. Politicians will take this money away and cause shortage while the rest that was sold to BDC will be resold at 1700.
Stop blaming P2P. If they Govt want to solve the problem then they should start with reshuffling things within. What you see if Govt failing or being clueless. people buying and selling on p2p don't use it for what you would go to the bank to do. You can't pay for international airline or school fees with binance p2p. People there are mostly full blown fraudsters changing their crypto to Naira |

Nbote: Now this is an analysis of someone who genuinely wants to have a conversation. Yes your analysis just broke down how many of these fake ads hike prices on Binance but then attributing it to the freefall of the naira is am overkill. Where do BDC operators get their USD from if not the banks? Where do banks get their USDs from if not CBN. The CBN sells dollars to banks who inturn sell at a profit. The CBN allowed itself to be used as the wallet of the political elites and that's what we are suffering from. The manipulation isn't in Binance, the Manipulation is by the same political elites who have amassed so much monies to influence whatever they like. bro binance dictate the value of Naira. I swear. If you see people on Twitter trending the price of dollar to Naira 99% of them are quoting Binance. Banks will just follow suit and since CBN has decided they will not entertain multiple exchange rates those ones too will follow |

How will they figure it out when the people in charge of those agencies are old outdated men that will probably shout at you if you try to explain this them. |

MASTERCHIEF0847: So cost of production has remained the same for cement manufacturers while everything else is on the increase? Make una dey use una brain before making a comment abeg. Cement production involves mining with heavy equipment that can only be imported as well as it's spare parts and paid for in dollars, those responsible for repairs are also expatriates who will not be paid in naira, add cost of diesel for running the factory at over 1000 naira per liter as well as importing gypsum and others then you will understand. Pay a visit to the quarry of any cement manufacturer then you will understand cement production is capital intensive. continue to defend criminal billionaires while they fleece you to stupor. As at October last year, dollar was already 1350 and diesel was 1200 yet I bought cement for 4800. What has happened between January and now that warrant x2 or even x3 increase in price? |

Nigeria is not a socialist country, government don't control production and distribution of goods and services. It seems you have not even got to senior secondary school. Government cannot decide how much private companies sell their products. It's Nigerians who should ask sellers why they hiked prices and walk away. Namaster: This right here is a BIG problem.
Yahoo is no longer a crime in most Nigerian households. Parents pray for their criminal kids to get more victims.
This idiots have turned crime into a FAMILY-BUSINESS. Made his sister a CFO.
MORE robust and comprehensive punitive measures need to be introduced for this kind of crime.
For instance, ALL the family members of a captured Yahoo Boy should be arrested. They know about what he does. They received stolen goods so that makes them accessories after the fact.
Next, plea bargains should NEVER be made available for Yahoo Boys. EVER!
Imagine stealing $370K, the life savings of a possibility geriatric person, and then returning less than 10% of it in exchange for a reduced sentence.
The crime for Yahoo should be life imprisonment or execution.
Why?
Because these people devise systems to hurt another person in the most unimaginable ways.
Imagine, stealing the retirement savings of a 65-year old grandma who is sick and can no longer work just because you, an able-bodied 27-year old LAZY idiot, want to buy Lexus and iPhones.
Also, it's a matter of NATIONAL REPUTATION. This criminals are destroying our collective reputation as a people.
They need to be stopped with stringent consequences. yahoo no suppose be crime. Oyinbos did the biggest scam to get to where they are today. They didn't just steal from other people, they murdered them and took their lands and resources that's why they are so much better off than us today. Even the 'leaders' here in Nigeria are carrying out massive heists on a daily basis. The world is fuccked up. HNICEARTH: Another take. Some said it means treasury. I don't dispute all those takes. But it's also an igbo word for digits, numbers or account number bro I'm from Edo, my sister had aza when I was small, way way before this yahoo yahoo talks of sure aza and the rest. It's made with clay and has small horizontal opening where you can slip money into. During Christmas you break it and collect the money. The term for that is called "gba aza a" which means to kill the safe in literal translation from Esan language. Even my grandmother knows what aza is. |

Romance › Re: The Shocking Theft Of My Solar System: Pls Help by Feldie: 9:56pm On Feb 12, 2024 |
MrOposter: Forgive the length of my write up .
During the festive season, I journeyed home, leaving a spare key somewhere in the compound and snapping a photo of its location. A couple of weeks later, while still in my hometown, my younger brother phoned, expressing a desire to spend some time at my place. I promptly sent him the photos I'd taken earlier.
Upon getting to my door he discovered the padlock looked tampered with, as if someone had struck it. Despite this, he managed to open it, only to find my solar system missing—three panels from the roof, the inverter, and the battery from inside. Additionally, my Home Theatre system was gone. He wasted no time informing me.
Returning the next day, I began investigating. A neighbor mentioned seeing three new solar panels on a nearby roof. Following up on the lead, I confronted the owner, who happened to be a friend of my youngest brother (not my immediate sibling). He welcomed me warmly, but when I questioned him about the solar system, he claimed my brother had sold it to him, citing an urgent need for money due to a village matter. I vehemently denied this, asserting my brother took it without consent.
The friend disclosed that my brother sold him the system for a PlayStation 3 console valued at 100k and 35k cash, with an outstanding balance of 105k, totaling 240k. However, I had purchased the entire solar system for 400k back in 2019, including installation fees. The current value of a similar setup is around 600k.
He pleaded for time to retrieve the system, promising to return it within two hours after arranging a ladder and an electrician. Reluctantly, I agreed but returned three hours later to find the panels still on his roof, with no intention of return. Confronting him again, he directed me to speak with his mother, who claimed to be the buyer.
Taking the phone, his mother insisted that she purchased it from my brother and demanded a refund before returning the solar system. I informed my parents, who joined me at the location. After prolonged back and forth with the buyer's family, we filed a complaint at the nearest police station.
The following morning, accompanied by two police officers, we revisited the house. However, we were met with resistance from the entire family, including the father, mother (now claiming to be the buyer), brother, sister, and sister's husband, a FRSC Officer. They refused to cooperate without my brother's presence.
Despite this, the police managed to retrieve the inverter and battery, with plans to retrieve the panels later. Presently, the mother is in custody, and legal proceedings are underway. The solar system, excluding the panels, remains in police custody.
My question is:
Don't I have the right to collect back my solar system despite that my brother was the one who stole it from my apartment and sold it to them while I was away? Will the law help me recover my solar system and prosecute the buyer? Why can't the buyer conduct due diligence before buying a massively discounted solar system?
My younger brother is at large and all calls placed to him is not reachable Pls advice accordingly. Thanks you can't give what you don't have. That's one of the most basic of laws. The solar system was never sold since your brother was not the rightful owner. The family that bought it simply fell for fraud. Imagine if I sell Stamford Bridge to you and you actually pay me. Do you think Chelsea will vacate the stadium for you just because you claimed to have paid for it? Your brother will be arrested though. |
