North aside, Yoruba remains the only tribe in Nigeria who reject corrupt crops in it fold irrespective of clan,religion,tribe, influence and affluence.

I find comfort each time be it a fani fayode, a tinubu,ayo fayose, even obasanjo are critised and even encourage the law enforcement agencies to prosecute them if found to be corrupt.

They talk and condemn in unison any of their son as some pple term it, is found wanting in any corruption related cases.they disown, and wanted the culprit prosecuted if he or she endulge in syphoning the national treasury.
To be honest they remain d only tribe to show that example and this goes along way to show that they can be trusted.they can serve as a national example as the case may be.

the north comes second,though they also support prosecution of corrupt leaders from their region bt sumtym it usually takes religion coloration,tribals or ethnic sentiments.

my reservations remain the east.when a corrupt person from the north say dasuki is arrested for example eventhough we know they naturally dnt like him,he becomes their hero overnight and one keep wondering where such mentality comes to play.if the accused if from the east, they all come together defendind him blindly eventhough the federal govt is fighting to collect what was stolen from them.
and this bring us to the question.where is this problem coming from? why do some of them think everyone bein prosecuted of corruption is bein victimised?
note: i donot intend any harm and FYI i am not a yoruba by tribe.i jus admire their mentality

A certain threat from some political party members does not represent the opinion of the Yoruba nation. If politicians threatened Dino melaye, that should be seen as an affair between politicians. I just feel sad that some uninformed youths called IPOB have taken the issue as a new discuss since nnamdi kanu, GEJ, FFK, Omisore, Dasuki etc haven't been massaging their ego because of the predicament buhari has places them in.

Well, before they take Dino melaye as their new champion and hero, they should also take the below men as Heros too for they performed similar, if not better acts too.

What happened after the threat? Kumuyi held his massive crusade in Aba, where he collected tithes and offerings from the gullible Abians and ended up posing with the state governor.

Kumuyi still lives till these day and has intentions of leveling up with Methuselah's record.

2. Fashola was declared persona non grata in SE after deporting some igbo destitute.

What happened? He got welcomed to the heart of igbo land, Anambra, by governor Obiano and a huge turnout, where he was begged to help construct a 2nd Niger bridge. I believe he almost left with a new wife. He was also welcomed by the Obi of onitsha, after which it rumoured that the minister took sometime to visit the destitute he deported to see if they are fairing better.

•The first Black Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan was an Igbo man named Professor Kenneth Dike.

•The first Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos was an Igbo man named Professor Eni Njoku.

•The first Nigerian Rector of the then Yaba College of Technology was also an Igbo man
The first Nigerian Professor of Mathematics was an Igbo man named Professor Chike Obi – the man who solved Fermat’s Last Theorem. He was followed by another Igbo man named Professor James Ezeilo, Professor of Differential Calculus and the founder of the Ezeilo Constant.

The first Nigerian professor of history was an Igbo man Professor Kenneth Dike who also became the first black vice chancellor of the University of Ibadan.

The first Nigerian Professor of Botany was an Igbo man named Professor Eni Njoku. He went on to become the very first vice chancellor of the university of LAGOS.

The first Nigerian Professor of Anatomy and Physiology is Professor Chike Edozien an Igbo man who is also the current Obi of Asaba.
The first Nigerian Professor of Physics was Professor Okoye an Igbo man who became a Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA in 1960.

He was followed by the likes of Professor Alexander Anumalu who has been nominated for the Nobel Prize for Physics three times for his research in Intermediate Quantum Physics.
In Nuclear Physics and Chemistry – again another Igbo man – Professor Frank Ndili who gained a Ph.D in his early ’20s at Cambridge Univesity in Nuclear Physics and Chemistry in the early ’60s. This young Asaba man had made a First Class in Physics and Mathematics at the then University College Ibadan in the early ’50s.

First Professor of Statistics – Professor Adichie who’s research on Non-Parametric Statistics led to new areas in statistical research.

What about the first Nigerian Professor of Medicine – Professor Kodilinye – he was appointed a Professor of Medicine at the University of London in 1952. He later became the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka after the war.

What about Astronomy – again another Igbo man was the first Professor of Astronomy – please, look up Professor Ntukoju – he was the first to earn a double Ph.D in Astronomy and Mathematics.

Let’s go to the Social Sciences – Demography and statistical research into population studies – again another Igbo man – Professor Okonjo who set up the first Centre for Population Research in Ibadan in the early ’60s. A double Ph.D in Mathematics and Economics.

Philosophy – Professor G D Okafor, who became a Professor of Philosophy at the Amherst College USA in 1953.

Economics – Dr. Pius Okigbo who became a visiting scholar and Professor of Economics at the University of London in 1954. He is also the first Nigerian Ph.D in Economics.

Theology and theological research – Professor Njoku who became the first Nigerian to earn a Ph.D in Theology from Queens University Belfast in Ireland. He was appointed a Professor of Theology at the University College Zambia in 1952.

The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has a record of the state with the highest number of professors in Nigeria and as at 2014 that state is Imo State. You can go to this commission and verify.

Anambra state was the first in WAEC, UNITY SCHOOLS ENTERANCE EXAMS, NECO AND PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Therefore, whenever some people address you Igbos as mere traders and Keke riders, tell them that in addition to doing very well in business, science, technology and SPORTS you are also ahead in academia. No amount of hatred can change blessings from God.

They are being treated like Nigerians so i dont get where the agitations and hate speeches are coming from. What you need to understand is that Nigeria is still a developing nation with allegiance mainly owed to one's ethnic group before the nation, put differently, we have not yet attained nationhood. To this end, igbos should quit being leeches and develop the east, the yorubas wont be hospitable forever. Cracks are already evident in the Yoruba-Igbo relationship especially as it concerns the ownership of Lagos, the present generation of yoruba youths are shells shocked at the hate rhetoric coming from the igbos.
