If you honestly think that the present so-called Arewa threat to Igbos to leave the North is just because of the May 30th Biafra sit-at-home, then you're to be pitied.

The statement by Northern youths that all Igbos should leave the North has been brewing reactions and counter reactions. Notwithstanding the circumstances in which the statement was made if their htreat becomes real what would be the reactions of the various ethnic groups in Nigeria. One, if Arewa youths and Nigeria start a war with the Biafran agitators who have shown peaceful demonstration in the face of Nigerian military brutality i doubt if the Yorubas will fight in the war. Forget the social media rants between the Igbos and the Yorubas. Yorubas would want to protect Lagos and the huge investment there by not supporting any war. They also understand that wars have no boundaries nowadays and could be carried out in any fashion not the old ground troops.So as usual the Yorubas will drag their feet joining the war and gradual stand aloof to gain Oduduwa republic.A good case is the Gov. Fashola decision deporting the Igbos. Fashola quickly saw the effect of his statement and he hurriedly reverted it to keep the Igbos and their investment in Lagos. The minorities in the SS will not be able to make any meaning position except the great Ijaw nation whom i believe will also play safe and wait for what will happen. For other ethnic groups in the North, some will join the Hausa Fulanis to fight a war, others will call for peace. I also see a devstating war between the North and the Biafrans. Fighter jets flown any how. In the event of these deadly scenario what would be the fate of both groups. The poor will suffer from both sides. The North will not have fuel and economic activities will be grounded and refugees migrating into neighboring countries. The Biafrans will v less food to eat with foriegn aids coming in even on both sides. The technical know how from each side will determine who will be successful not on ground troops but on military technology. So for the Arewa Youth and other prominent Northerns who have been druming the drums of war please desis from it because war is not good. There is poverty in the country and the North especially.
Human existence predates colonialism. Igbos and Hausa Fulanis can leave peaceful even after Biafra is achieved. Fance and Britian are still friends. Germany and France are still brothers. Isreal and Germany r still brothers. USA and Britian r still mother and duaghetr. With time Ethiopia and Eritrea will be brothers so will Sudan and South Sudan.
