@seun

aromatic nonsense?! thats a new one!

I'm sorry, but your flesh IS more inclined to fornication than that of women.
A woman becomes more and more attached to you the more you sleep with her. You on the other hand become less and less attached, in most cases.
Similarly, A woman's sexual prime ends early, yours does not. You will still be aroused by attractive 20 year olds when you are sixty.
So yes, it is. Learning to accept that fact is an important step to accepting your responsibility as a man to curb your animal instincts.

Another aromatic nonsense!

Where do you get all this nonsense from?

At 5"4, marryin a guy shorter than me would result in my kids hatin me(because chances are the wuld also be short). And also the images darkmanzero's talkn about have been firmly imprinted in my brain. Short men are usually rude and obnoxious, marryin 1 mite be short lived, no pun intended. (myopic view? I know).

Thats not true. Are you sure you thought about what you wrote before putting it down on here? dont think so angry

NYSC / Re: NYSC Is A Waste Of Time? by fellow(m): 9:40am On May 26, 2007
Well to be quite honest, the experience of getting out Ogun State all the way to Cross River (Imagine the distance) was so much fun for me plus i boarded a plane for the first time in my life.
Though it got to a time i saw it as a waste of time cause i wasnt stable and was always at home but at time i just wished i had enjoyed it the way i planned it before jetting off.

Thank GOD its over sha

davidylan:

dear, its not all about the alawi its more the experience you gain, the friendships you build and the life lessons you learn. I still look back to those years with fondest memories. The alawi wasnt much at all, imagine you collect your salary, buy one recharge card (for flashing purposes only), take your friends out to mamaput for some isi ewu, buy buscuit for the pikins around your house, pay tithe, go shopping for the month and alas by the time you get home u have barely enough to transport u to work every day till the next alawi comes.
Dont forget to keep money to tip the ZI, buy small yam for musa and u are looking at 12 months of being constantly broke. Even the transport money by road back to Lagos is half your monthly alawi, forget travelling by air unless u recieve your alawi for 6 months in advance. . .

And yet we still had plenty of fun. My dear give it a shot, u'll be stupendously glad u did. What other opportunities will i ever get to go look 40yr olds in the face and abuse them as i like and watch them beg me for marks "oga abeg please sir let me pass". grin my brother, that life was sweet.
O ga oh!!!! You sef enjoy your NYSC I thought you?

Hush you - fellow! Not everybody is good at mincing words and placing emphasis at the right spots.

You must all think of the worst, murky reasons huh? If a guy wants to leave you he will never make such a statement unless its in a heated argument. If it was not a heated argument or something of the sort, such a comment would be based on the assumption that the lady would understand where his emphasis is - which i maintain is most probably her manner of dressing.
I think it should be the other way round. If it was in the middle of an arguement then its as a result of his anger and what he thinks needs a change as regards his girlfriend but it wasn't that. He told her straight to her face that "she's looking old"
kachi_face:

I have said that to my girlfriend before, but that was properly delivered and we laughed over it.I have even told her she is starting to look like canned coke and not the 35cl bottle - she got the gist and started working out, I think its an error in the manner of delivery from the guy.
I know its guys like you that tell your girlfriend stuffs like that. why wouldn't you want to justify your own actions. abegi

desorlah:

He might not mean it, perhaps he was joking.

But also try as much not to dress old, always look your best at all times.
Joking indeed!!! Taking another look at the post, the poster said she was so depressed which means she didn't see it as a joke. I don't think its a matter of what you look like when you are dressed as he would have been more specific if it were to be the cloth but he must have taken a good look at her before he said those mean words.
For me there's more to it than just your dressing!

abstarr:

All those claiming that Ribadu is not selective, can u explain why a man like andy uba is still walking free? Even after he has openly admitted to rigging the past elections in favour of ngige? And what of Adiebu in Oyo, found with a trailer-load of ballot papers.

In my books, i give Dora full-marks!!!!

Dont mind Mckren, i wouldn't be surprised if he's an EFCC member in his state  grin grin

Choco:

I'll take Dora she touches more lives positively than Ribadu would ever do.Her jurisdiction was Nationwide while that of Ribadu was just Abuja (a small fraction of Nigeria)
Ha no be so oh. Ribadu was not only effective in Abuja alone, at least i know of plateau, ekiti and abia states!!! grin
Politics / Re: Akunyili Or Ribadu: Who Performed Better? by fellow(m): 11:46pm On May 16, 2007
McKren:

@felow

Tell us the allegation Ribadu made against Alao Akala that he has not investigated

He made it very clear that he thinks Ibadan is not meant to be what it is, that he thinks Ibadan which used to be a city reknowned in the whole of west Africa but is no longer what it used to be, meant that there is something wrong somewhere, the leaders of ibadan are obviously not doing something right. That does not translate into allegation or a ground for prosecution. Courts don't do logic, they only listen to facts.

Except you are asking Ribadu to prosecute Alao Akala on the premise that Ibadan is not beautiful. He has said he is investigating Oyo State government and you must remain patient for him to conclude his investigation or furnish him with facts that will lead to prosecution of Akala if you have one. grin grin grin grin

oh okay what about the so called Bode Georges' NPA case? what has be done so far? i guess boni haruna is getting the hell of his life cause he has refused to stop his romance with atiku.
I could remember during the PDP primaries where odili was one of the leading contenders for the exalted position how EFCC suddenly remembered that money was laundered through the so called IPP project he built.
Lets face the fact my dear brother, Nuru is baised in and out.
For your perusal read

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday came hard on controversial politician, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu and the embattled Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala as the commission's Chairman, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, expressed his readiness to scuttle the governorship ambition of Alao-Akala
Besides, Ribadu who was the guest lecturer at the colloquium organised by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan (UI) chapter, also declared that the commission will stop all corrupt governors as well as those seeking elective positions from returning to office in April.

He spoke amid indications that the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) was also probing two North-East governors for monumental corruption among others.

The EFCC boss who deplored the activities of Adedibu and Alao-Akala wondered why such people should continue to be at the helm of affairs.

Ribadu in his lecture titled: "The EFCC and the Challenges of Democratic Reforms in Nigeria," said the country was corrupt at all levels and it will take the collective efforts of all to stem the tide.

The EFCC chief pondered on the secret behind the politics of domination and intimidation of the strongman of Ibadan politics and maintained that he will never do anything to help either Adedibu or Alao-Akala, adding "whatever we do is to the best of our ability and with the fear of God."

I have no more issues with you as regards nuru and your so-called revolution kiss
Politics / Re: Akunyili Or Ribadu: Who Performed Better? by fellow(m): 6:47pm On May 16, 2007
McKren:

Revolution comes in different ways, all you need to do is recognise it. There is a revolution going on in Nigeria and all you need to do is join and spread the good news. Ribadu is leading a revolution just give him your support.

If my state governor out of fear of Ribadu builds roads, schools, hospitals why should I worry about who has not been dealt with??

Tell me the state governor that has built schools, hospitals and others just because of the fear of ribadu? I would rather say its as a result of the fear of OBJ and getting into his good books.
I could recollect ribadu words on Alao Akala and the Godfather of Ibadan himself Adebidu, if your so called revolution leader could take a swipe at them, then why won't he look into the allegations of corruption levelled against them.
Revolution indeed!

McKren:

If a public official does the right thing he does not need to be in Ribadu's or the President's good books to remain safe. It is that simple.
That is if they have done or are doing the right thing, what about those that aint doing nothing and yet are not been prosecuted?
Politics / Re: Akunyili Or Ribadu: Who Performed Better? by fellow(m): 6:40pm On May 16, 2007
McKren:

But that being said I simply don't understand why an OBJ that wants to destroy Nigeria and loot her black and blue will appoint the likes of Iweala, Ribadu, Dora most times against the wishes of elite politicians.

Maybe Fellow, we need you to explain that to us.

An insight into a book titled the "48 laws of power" would answer your questions directly but i would try as much as possible to put up an explanation.
The appointment of people with high integrity and people that have a fore knowledge of what their job entails always have a mirror effect on the leader. What do you hear in the news these days "OBJ brought about Debt Cancellation" which leaves Iweala relegated to the background, "OBJ fight against corruption" which is a job nuhu should be credited for.
As a leader, you appoint people to do some jobs for you so that the credit would be giving to you and not to them which was why like i said earlier iwu would be made a scape goat for conducting a flawed election. Or have you forgotten that Mantu bore the grunt of the perceived 3rd Term Project?
All in all, OBJ knows that if he leaves the HAWKS in charge of the economy, they might turn against him and bring him down. (a ready answer is the run-off to the 2003 primaries of the PDP were OBJ was widely reported to have begged Atiku to plead with other governors on his behalf so that they could allow him run for another term).
Politics / Re: Akunyili Or Ribadu: Who Performed Better? by fellow(m): 6:14pm On May 16, 2007
what we need is a revolution though i am yet to see that man who would take the lead. Every nigerian is concerned about surviving on a day-to-day basis and more about leaning towards the winning party so as to make ends meet.
Except there is a revolution in the land i really do think the question would be left hanging.

Ribadu should have resigned like Iweala, what difference will that make for Nigeria.

Since Iweala resigned has her resignation enthrenched what ever it was she stood for?

To you it makes no difference but to other people who holds the issue of principle very dear, it makes a whole lot of difference which is why Iweala could still walk tall amongst her peers with her head high and a job well done.

That should give you a view of who ribadu is - a lawless young man
Politics / Re: Akunyili Or Ribadu: Who Performed Better? by fellow(m): 5:46pm On May 16, 2007
well for me i think Ribadu has been a little bit partial when it come to discharging his duties, if he were not why has he not done anything on Alao Akala, Bode George, and a host of other OBJ fringing stooges.
Accepted that its not that easy but if he were a man of integrity he would have resigned like Iweala. I have the notion that She (Iweala) was redeployed cause she wouldn't have allowed illegal withdrawals of money for the prosecution of arms and settlement of touts for the just concluded elections and she was even against the 3rd term debacle.
Largely ribadu has been disappointing.
As for dora, she has been a major source of headache for different people involved in fake drugs and other related offences and i think she has done a good job by tackling the monster and its croonies.

Its Dora all the way

There's no use telling him as he might be able to wipe up sentiments in you and make you come back to him

3rd years in a relationship and she want to quit because her so called tall lover boy doesn't have a job yet?
I think your friend should realise that she can't eat her cake and have it, what if this "short" guy accepts her and eventually loses his job on the run while the other tall guy finds a job at last? Does that imply that she would leave him again and go ahead to meet the tall guy?
I thought she said she loves the tall guy? well i wonder what her own meaning of love is!!!
My advice is that she should way her options and decide which of them she wants but "to marry someone out of pity is a very grave mistake which always have an adverse effect on marriages."
I am sure the "short" guy might not want you back and might have add someone to replace you. Which ever case it is its your choice
