If you will provide accommodation, 35k and above is the range. Plus routine greasing of palm so he/she can work well as human.

One serious advise, make sure you live closer to the farm..This will save you a lot as human are not to be trusted.

Thank you so much for this information sir. At present, I can only be available on some weekends to go see for myself since I will be busy working. Though I have someone who can be available to supervise when I am not around.

Okay, the farmhand should be an animal lover

By branding, I meant creating a name for your egg business that will make you stand out. But you would inqure more production costs for packaging and marketing. You can do without branding.

Okay. Do you have a rough guess of what pay for a Farmhand should be per month?

Oh, I get that now. I can get that done. Thank you so much sir.

1.5 would do if you have available housing, available labor, and you don't intend to brand your eggs.

I intend hiring 1 Farmhand? What is branding of eggs sir?

I need a farm for poultry in Ibadan too. Can you recommend? I live around ring road area in Ibadan.

Okay sir. Where do we start from sir? BTW, I plan to rent a farm in Ibadan. It is about 100k.

I believe you were trying to quote me. I did not get the mention since you did it wrongly. I am speaking with my friend who knows someone in Ibadan that does poultry and knows about sourcing land for rent and sales.

I should be in Ibadan this weekend. I will try to inquire and give you feedback sir.

Please in case I don't remember to get you a response by 31st, kindly mention me sir.

Okay...

200 birds would cost you approximately N140k (using the current price @ 700 per chick). Since you are in Ibadan, it could be cheaper)

Drugs & multivitamins, budget N20k. Yes 20k.

Vaccines, 25k will do just fine.

Now to feeding...
1.5kg per bird for 4 weeks i.e 200×1.5 = 300kg
That's approx 12 bags for the 1st 1month.

Depending on the type of feeds used; New Hope 320 over here is now approx. N15,950
i.e 15,950 × 12 bags = N191,400

Approximately same will go for 8weeks of age, N191,400

So far for the first 2 months, you would have spent N382,800 on feeding.

From 9weeks of age, you should start feeding appx a bag per day. cheesy

That is 31 × 13,,800 for the New Hope 321 bag
= 179,400 monthly. That is 3rd, 4th & 5th month... 179,400 x 3 = N538,200

So total money spent so far is N 538,200 + 382,800 + 20,000 + 25,000 + 140,000 = 1,106,000.

Let say, you even pad your budget with 300k extra, 1.5million will go a long way and Yes, it is possible to do the 5months with it.

Thank you so much for your kind response sir. Your calculations above did not take into consideration the cost of labour for each month sir. Will 1 Farmhand be fine? And what do you think is a fair wage per month for a Farmhand? Also, the drugs and vaccines calculation is per month or for the whole production period?

Secondly, I noticed you mentioned feeding 1 bag per day from 9 weeks up. Though I know that is currently what your chickens consume (400). Are you stating 1 bag per day for me too, for 200 chicks as a worst case scenario?

I noticed also that your calculation of 31 bags per month x 13,800 is lesser than the actual figure. I presume that was an oversight sir?

Once again, I am very grateful for your breakdown of things to me. God bless you sir.

Day 78 402 Birds Remaining (3 mortality)

Improvising for my birds. The current price of feeds is killing. It's time to find alternatives for my birds.

Good job Sir. Please can 1.5 do this job, including feeding, vaccination and medication and at least 1 Farmhand for up to 5 months sir? Let us say for 200 birds?

Can you give me a gist why you said the boy should come to Idanre? I was in Akure in December and I went to Idanre Hills. I am curious to know why you made that statement. Thanks in anticipation.

you 100% right on this, I won’t advise anyone to go into poultry now, I am also a stake holder but the market is not stable with the frequent rise in cost of feed,it’s only people with experience and strong hearted that can venture into it now, though very profitable.

Good morning sir. Can 1.5 do the job for a start? Say 100 pullets and 50 POL to about 5 months, then sell the 50 as Old Layers? I saw somewhere that 25kg of feed cost around 13k. Is that price right or it is more than that? Looking to rent a farm for a start, and employ 1-2 farmhand.

As a professor of law who as been in practice for decades, and a SAN, she can't tell me that she relies solely on her salary for survival.

For starters she should have her own Chambers, with young lawyers working there. She's should use her position as a Prof to get closer to politicians so her Chambers can be contracted to represent them.

I still find it very difficult to believe that a woman of her status depends totally on her salary.

I don't believe her too. An SAN and a Professor at that. I think she's lying about her wages to put the people begging her for money off. Someone who wants to go watch the Final. She knows ordinarily that Air fare tickets to even the closest states in Nigeria are exorbitant, so she can't be expecting fares to Ivory Coast to be lesser.

All money sent to domiciliary acct. Will also be converted to naira. You will be requested to provide a naira account to receive the money. I was a victim of this brouhaha yesterday.

Good morning sir. Did the bank convert the money from your DOM account to your Naira account? I meant, did you actually receive the money in your DOM account, but to withdraw, you had to provide a Naira account for conversion? What was the rate sir?

All I am saying is this centralized governance is not working.

It sincerely is not working. My head is just thinking about what the next minimum wage will be. Say 120,000 or more than that. How many states will have the resources to pay such? It is on record that some states are still struggling to pay the present 30,000 due to expire in March. Omo! We sincerely need those at the National Assembly to decentralize many powers in the Constitution. The problem of this country, apart from thieves looting our resources, is that 1999 Constitution.

Each State needs to have its minimum wage different from what the Fed pays.

Make una forgive my ignorance oh.

Is Guinea Bissau different from Guinea? becos i thought that only 3 countries qualified in our group i.e we, Ivory Coast and Equitorial Guinea . I saw Guinea on thaf list.

There are 3 Guineas in Africa. Guinea, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau. We were in the same group with Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. So yes, Guinea Bissau is different from Guinea. Guinea was in a different group.

Your son needs just God and you for a brighter future not Europe o. Boys without maternal care in Europe in this early formative years will only amount to a gangster. Its better he is Godly and you grow at the pace God wants for you abeg

BlackfyreRebell. Please ignore the advice above. Yes, your son needs God. A male child needs his father to be nurtured well. My best advise would have been co-parenting. Single parenting is not good at all. But I don't know what caused the separation.

Kindly do not let the bitterness of you guys' separation influence this decision you are about to make. Consider importantly if your ex husband has remarried, and if so, can the stepmother treat the son well? Those are some foundational questions you should put into perspective when you make your decision.

Note that, there are so many people you will ask about this and they will advise you wrongly. Not everybody wants the good of your son. This is an opportunity for the boy if his father means well for him.

500k can't roof 2bedroom in nigeria

We are talking abt millions plus with the current situation of the country

Thank you so much for your kind response sir. I was thinking since the cheapest was 2,900, that 200mtr would be sufficient. Or am I not getting something, sir? Are there additional accessories that will be purchased apart from the workmanship for the Carpentry works?

I once suggested if we could just roof a room and the parlour while the other room remains open but she said there might be complications.

200 to 250mtr
Depend on type of roofing sheet you decide toake use

Price update below

Thank you so much for this sir. Currently not on WhatsApp, I could have sent you a message. I am unsure if her place is a Standard 2 Bedroom unless I speak to her or her builder.

Based on your estimate, will 400k to 500k do the job? If I go for the cheapest roofing. Though she does not want those roofs that turn red (rust) nor slate. I want to use it as a surprise for her. Thanks for your kind response sir.

I have watched these 4 players live, from Henry Nwosu to Mikel Obi, and I can tell you none can match Okocha in term of skill.
Indiscipline never allowed Etim to attain the height he should have reached. He's a good dribbler but not that polished,
For Henry Nwosu, he's a superbrat, making the Green Eagles team at age 17 straight from secondary school ( st Gregory's college Akoka) and scoring crucial goals for the national team, Henry is a skillful player but he's not at the level of Jay Jay.
Mikel is one of the best midfielder that has ever featured for the national team, very skillful, good ball holder, midfield maestro, arguably after Jay Jay, he's the best midfielder to have adorned the green white jersey of Nigeria.
Jay Jay Okocha, he's simply the best of all

St. Gregory's College Akoka, sir? Or you meant St. Finbarrs' Akoka? Because St. Gregory's College is at Obalende, Ikoyi.

Same thing my neigbour whom when I moved into a new house bought drinks for him to celebrate, told one of my friends who came around in December that I'm a pastor. The reason being that I don't hang out with them downstairs or around the neighborhood drinking. Lol, I just laughed and ignored him.
