Their headache. Who presidency epp |
Have you forgotten so soon that he entered the ring with Fela and Femi's song? I didn't even expect him to do that considering how many Britons criticised him the last time he entered the ring with Wizkid's OJUELEGBA. I think he's tried enough associating himself with Nigeria or do you want him to abandon or spite Britain that gave him the platform to become who he is today even when Nigeria didn't give him the opportunity in 2008? Even before his last fight with Ruiz, many Nigerians here prayed he should lose. Please leave AJ alone. Coldie: |
This is so unintelligent as it doesn't address the reason why the court was the right venue to stage the drama of the absurd that took place, making Nigeria look like a zoo before the international community. This is so unprecedented. This explanation by Garba is as unintelligent as the explanation provided by DSS for not realising Sowore earlier saying that he might be KNOCKED DOWN by a vehicle. Is he a baby and is it their knocking down? |
Wilder talks too much. AJ is humble in defeat and victory. But why is Wilder changing mouth up and down. You said Ruiz will KO AJ faster than he did the first time they met in the rematch. AJ upped his game and changed tactics and won, now you come here saying he was running around the ring. You're just jealous of AJ. AJ worked hard and worked his way up to the top.Where were you when AJ risked his life to fight established fighters like Whyte, Parker, Klitschko, Takam etc early in his career? You were the one ducking. You were made an offer, you said the pay cheque was too small. You have only 1 belt whereas he has FOUR. You need him more than he needs you. I don't think you can even survive Ruiz. To me, you've only fought 2 or 3 boxers in your entire career and we know how the fights went. I know you have the power but this sports goes beyond power. Fight the likes of Whyte, Parker and Ruiz first, then we can take you seriously. |
It takes just a single punch to change the narrative in heavy weight boxing. Powerful punchers like Iron Mike Tyson, Wilder and even Joshua have shown this to be true time and time again. In the words of Tyson, every boxer has got a plan until they get hit. The latest testimony to the veracity of this statement was seen in the 1st fight between Anthony Joshua and underdog Andy Ruiz. Nobody took Ruiz seriously, infact Joshua even declared to come for Wilder after Ruiz fight, looking past the shorter plump boxer but BOOM, there came a power punch from Ruiz which made Joshua stagger and even though he lasted a few more rounds, he never recovered from the concussion he was claimed to have suffered from the punch. In one of his post fight interviews, Joshua referred to that punch as "a punch from the gods", possibly because of the power the punch carried and the fact that it was so swift, he didn't see it coming since in boxing, the punches you didn't see coming hurt the most. This is reminiscent of Maradona's "hand of god". The manner in which Ruiz won that bout was a hot topic of debate months and months thereafter. While some felt Joshua was mismatched and was no match for Ruiz, others felt the win was a fluke. Popular boxers like Wilder and Fury even predicted Joshua would lose the rematch but the opposite was the case. Joshua came with a plan and it was well executed. Throughout the bout, Ruiz had no chance of landing a defining punch like he did in the first fight. Joshua won back his belts and he proved that he was right after all, IT WAS INDEED A PUNCH FROM THE gods. |
AJ has once again proved all naysayers and haters wrong by showing he's a complete and master boxer capable of changing tactics and style to achieve his goal. Boxing goes beyond one power punch. By neutralising Ruiz's punches, he's shown he's a good and adaptable boxer and those belts didn't come on a platter of gold. While Ruiz relied on the same tactics he used in the first fight and even added extra weight, thinking that would do the job, AJ was both mentally technically better. Not taking anything from Ruiz though because he has shown he's a fearless warrior. The fight was boring of a truth but that's part of the strategy for AJ and Ruiz knew this before the fight. He knew AJ would box him round the ring and he had said it was his job to stop him from doing that but the fact that he couldn't stop him or land a defining punch shows that AJ is technically very sound. Ruiz promised to end AJ's career but could he? As for those saying AJ didn't fight, I wonder what they would be saying now, if AJ had lost this second fight on unanimous decision. |

If you're in traffic and you're heading for church, you should be reading your Bible, not burying your head in Nairaland Fashion. It's your type that dress in a provocative/sultry manner to church, do all manner of evil things and come here proving holier than thou. You're the real pervert. blackpanthar: |
I can see your reasoning is very low. And wait a minute child of God, why are you not in church yourself, if you are what you claim. You are actually the one thinking about the wrong thing. Hypocrites everywhere. By their fruits you will know them. blackpanthar: |
At times, I wonder what some online stores are actually selling, the body parts or the items. Please check the pictures below and tell us your impression.

quote author=onegig post=83697676] You guys just come online and post half truths and whatnot. Please show me one single advert from 2005 where a plot of Land in Lekki 1 or 2 was 500k. Yeah , real estate might bring you profits but for all its so called ROIs it's capital intensive and except you are doing large scale purchases which is out of the reach of the average Joe on the street, you are just wasting your time. A plot of land in Ibeshe Ikorodu was generally sold for N250k in 2006/2007 . The minimum wage as at then was N13,000 and NYSC corpers were being paid 9500 or so. Petrol was N35 or N45 as at then, now it's hovering around N150. Inflation was at 18% as of January 2007. After all said and done as at today, that same land can't fetch you more than 2Million in the same Ibeshe Ikorodu. That's a paltry 600% return on investment after 12years. If you factor in inflation rates and CPI you would understand the profit margin isn't more than 10% . That's fucking outrageous for a long term capital intensive investment. If i had a residual income of ONLY 250k as at 2007 to invest,I am sure i wouldn't be receiving 2million as a worthy return after 12 years. So you guys should stop touting lands and houses as an eldorado investment option. If you had so much residual income laying fallow you can go tie it up buying landed properties as an hedge against inflation but if you have limited capital and have a viable biz that gives you 30% to 40% returns on investment year on year please plough such funds into the biz. You would be better off.
Good analysis. Please if you have such an to recommend, let me know. |
The most important thing here is the prospect of the job. Which of them will give you opportunity to grow, add value to you and make you a better person in the nearest future. Look at the fire dear. Forget the cost of living in both towns. Though I think there is no much difference For now, there seems to be no clear cut difference in terms of prospect. |
booscy:Thank you. Any further information on comparison on cost of living? |
Please help a friend. |
A friend needs to make an urgent decision. Got an offer of 200k in Calabar. His current pay in Port Harcourt is slightly lower than that but with the possibility of a raise in the next 2 months which may take it to about 200k too. He's confused about what to do, considering the fact that he has no clue about the cost of living in Calabar. Anybody with the experience of living in the two cities with special focus on rent (say a 2-bedroom apartment), food items, transportation etc should please advise. Thanks. |
