And these defenders just damaged Ajiboy's chances. |
Ogetogeo:What do you expect him to do at close range? You speak as if the Moroccan striker already told Ajiboye where he was kicking the ball to so he can plan himself and push it towards a Nigerian player. The question should be when the goal keeper cleared the ball what were 3 Nigerian defenders doing watching the Moroccan kick the ball the 2nd time? |
Nigeria is 3 goals down |
Goal no 3 |
Football is team work. It's like a system. For me, so far, the goalkeeping is our greatest asset in this match and the attack is the worst. No shot on target so far. Once the attack is weak, the midfield suffers and when the midfield is under pressure, the defence can't hold on for long and by extension the goalkeeping. 60 minutes of play yet only 2 shots and NONE on target. Shameful. |

This is ambiguity in action and contrary to what some have said, the sentence is grammatically correct but semantically ambiguous. The pronoun, "she" can semantically refer either to the mother or the daughter and that's why one of the best ways to disambiguate a sentence is by rephrasing the whole sentence or by repeating a part of the sentence. Using repetition method, the sentence would be, The mother beat her daughter because the daughter was drunk. Or The mother beat her daughter because the mother was drunk. |
ExplicitContent:"she" is not an adverb please. It's a pronoun. |
kcmichael:Buhari needs 25% vote in at least 24 states and the last time I checked, IMO is just one of the 5 states in the east. My point is even if Buhari wins 100 percent in IMO, that doesn't translate to winning 2/3 in the east. |
Isahalbash:Because that is the real intention of these animals. |
Can we call this a COUNTRY or ZOO? The answer is obvious. And to think that the President never mentioned anything on the attacks in his new year speech. Please, let's not politicize this. We're all victims whether Ibo, Urhobo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Edo, Igala, Ikwerre, etc. Let's stop pointing accusing fingers. It is time to stop talking and start acting. We need to protect ourselves. Kudos to Governor Fayose and some other bold governors who have shown that they cherish the lives of their people. The cry should sound louder and should go to the international community. Petitions should be written to foreign bodies and governments. They claim and glorify themselves that they have decimated the Boko guys but it's true that they have replaced it with something more fatal and lethal and may one day succeed in killing all of us silently, gradually, secretly. How else do you explain the fact that the federal government is silent on this issue or is even trying to defend it. I am not a fan of Kanu but Nigeria is closer to the dictionary definition of a zoo than a country. I think I totally agree with Achebe that THERE WAS A COUNTRY. It's time to act. |

Surely, the light situation has improved significantly. I used to spend between 8 to 12k on fueling my gen monthly but for almost 3 months now, I don't buy more than 2k of fuel monthly. I traveled to Oshogbo and Ilesha about a week ago and I was shocked to see that for the 3 days I spent, the light didn't blink at all. I think something / someone is working for the first time. Fashola is working. Pray it should continue and even improve. |

hahn:Now compare that with uncountable number of people who accepted transfusion and still died and you'll see this noise is unnecessary. It was a personal choice she made based on her Bible trained conscience. Jesus Christ said he that loses his life for his sake will save it. She made an informed and a right choice. Bloodless surgery is now the best and safest surgery and widely accepted among informed surgeons. |
Horlufemi:You are a fool. Common Photoshop you can't do. Governor Wike too was invited abi. Too many fools here. |
I doubt the authenticity of his invitation to Trump's inauguration but if true, it only makes more sense to shun the invitation since the meeting with Obasanjo must have been arranged long before Trump's invitation. Imagine the implications of Jonathan cancelling the long scheduled meeting, even though I doubt whether OBJ would have minded doing that to GEJ if the situations were reversed. Jonathan is a grateful, humble and cool headed person. He was only deceived by the traitors around him, turning him against OBJ and making him believe all was well. |
Great speech, no doubt but sounds more like a campaign speech, rather than an inaugural address. I hope he will live up to expectations. Talk is cheap but action is expensive. I hope he fulfils his promises so Nigeria can be great. And for those saying Nigeria shall be great again, has Nigeria ever been great? One can rightly say America shall be great again but not Nigeria but Nigeria can be great with good leadership. Nigeria shall be great again is both semantic and collocational clash. |
Lost LOVE is easier to regain than lost TRUST. The freezing of Mavros was both ill timed and I'll advised. There were two things MMM should have done instead. First, stop Guiders' bonuses for the meantime, afterall, whom are they guiding? Most people don't even know or have any contact with their so called guider. When you even have issues even before accounts were frozen and you call them, they wouldn't respond . Secondly, MMM shouldn't have given the impression their was deficit in the system. They should have forced the top guiders or all of them to provide a certain percentage of their total earnings as LOAN PH which they will get back later once the system stabilizes so their will be money in the system but I guess they are all too greedy, not ready to part with anything they have made. |
OAU is indeed a great school. No rival in Nigeria. I remember in 2000 when I wanted to know whether a credit in Mathematics was compulsory for Law. I picked up my pen, composed a letter from my base in Warri, Delta State, enveloped it and sent it through NIPOST. Lo and behold, a few weeks later, I got a letter from the Law Faculty, answering all my questions. I was humbled. How many private universities would do that in Nigeria, let's not even talk about public universities. That was an indelible mark made on my impressionable secondary school student mind and I said my university education if done in Nigeria would be in OAU or no other school. The second unalterable impression made on me came when I applied to the school through UME and without any assistance from any human being, I found my name on the admission list. OAU, the nightmare of other universities, the university whose enemies can't stop admiring and talking about, I doff my cap for you. |
But where are the useless billionaires in Nigeria? RIP MKO |
