Correctgist: Lagosians have lamented bitterly after visiting the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sallah day with the hope of getting food and money but ended up getting disappointed.
They were seen in a video gathered at the secretariat, Alausa Ikeja waiting for their Salah gifts from the state government but were all disappointed when they got nothing after standing outside the secretariat under the hot sun.
They also praised Ambode and Fashola saying he always gives them food on sallah day and 3k each.

petux: I had to bring this here maybe I could get some helpful advice here as I am really clueless about what to do about her.
My younger sister is too dull. She is not smart and brilliant at all. She doesn't love studying at all. She is doing so poor in school due to her lackadaisical attitude towards studying. I have tried to talk her and advice her into studying, but she will just looking through it as if she doesn't know what she is reading and all.
During the time she was doing WAEC and NECO, you won't even know she was writting exam. My mum bought textbooks for her but she will end up misplacing them since she won't read them. What she enjoy doing most is just to eat, sleep and all these children story books. She is now fat like Bleep.
I always try to make her study or sometime even force her but there is little I can do for her as I can't put all the book in her head and I am not even always around because I'm in school.
I helped her check her waec result yesterday, and what I saw made me sad. She failed 6 subjects and passed only 3 subjects which she even had only C5 and C6.
I don't know what do to about her because I am tired. I don't want her to gain admission into the university with this kind of spirit because it's not going to help her at all. What can I do for her? How can I help her become more serious and become a better girl. She is 17.
Useful Advices will be highly appreciated. Mods, please do the needful.

Ravon: A piece of equipment that will process crude oil for Nigeria’s Dangote refinery set sail on Monday from China, oil company Sinopec said in a tweet.
The 650,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery near Lagos is set to be Africa’s largest and could transform the country from a fuels importer to a net exporter.
“On July 29, the world’s largest atmospheric tower built by Sinopec slowly left a wharf in Ningbo,” the Sinopec tweet said. “Following the Maritime #SilkRoad, it will travel to #Nigeria and be installed at the world’s biggest single-train facility - Nigeria’s Dangote Refinery.”
The atmospheric tower is the primary unit processing crude oil into fuels, Citac analyst. This was disclosed by Jeremy Parker to Reuters. It will likely take at least a month to reach Lagos.

Bimpeusman: A 30-year-old barber, identified simply as Tersur, yesterday died after rescuing a drowning pig from the gutter in front of his shop in Gboko East Local Government Area of Benue State.
A witness said Tersur collapsed and died moments after rescuing the pig. Tersur abandoned his work, when he saw the pig in the gutter in front of his shop, being swept away by the heavy flow of water. “Tersur refused to listen to entreaties to allow the pig to perish. He got a helper and they both swung into action; the pig was saved after both Tersur and the helper were drenched. What ordinarily looked like a good gesture from Tersur turned to sorrow when he slumped immediately after bringing the pig out of the gutter,” the witness said.
Tersur was rushed to a private hospital around the vicinity, but doctors at the facility confirmed him dead. Those close to Tersur said his death was as strange as it was sudden. They, however, attributed it to the will of God.

Viralmula: Researchers at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies ( CADS ) decided to undertake a research to ascertain how North Korean Leader Kim Jung Un purchased his Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard with heavy sanctions and embargoes from the US and the European Union from North Korea purchasing luxury goods, but trust the cunning Kim Jung Un to take advantage of smuggling routes to always get whatever his heart so desires..
Even Daimler, the parent company that manufactures Mercedes vehicles, stated categorically quoted by Viralmula.Com when asked, that they had no freaking idea where and how the the North Korean Leader Kim Jung Un purchased his Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard and that had no business connections with North Korea for the past 15 years now and company strictly complies with EU and US embargoes handed down to North Korea.
So how did the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard get into North Korea?
The researchers at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies ( CADS ) said: they traced two luxury vehicles' path from Rotterdam, Netherlands, through four countries to the streets of Pyongyang, North Korea. Two Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Guard vehicles, each worth about $500,000, left Rotterdam on June 14, 2018. From there, they travelled by ship to Dalian, in northern China, The vehicles then sat in shipping containers in Dalian from July 31, 2018, to August 26, when they departed for Osaka, Japan, on their way to Busan, South Korea; From South Korea, the containers sailed to Nakhodka, Russia, aboard the DN5505, a ship owned by the Do Young shipping company, which is registered in Marshall Islands.
The ship's shipping tracker went dark for 18 days after it left Busan — typical behavior for a ship trying to evade sanctions, luxury goods goods headed to North Korea often travel through the Russian Far East making use of the porous smuggling routes along those waterways..

*Star Witness*
Another factional National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Buba Galadima testified today in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party and it’s Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Alhaji Galadima during his testimony said
*That he has been a close associate of the Presidential Candidate of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari In 2003,2007, 2011 up till 2015, That he fell out with him before he was not giving the Nation good Governance .That the APC failed in most of the promises they made to Nigerians before the 2015 General Elections, That he has been involved in promoting good governance in Nigeria since 1966. More updates
Updates from the Court of Appeal.
The PDP and Atiku/Obi also presented evidence from Zamfara state in addition to other evidences from other states.
Currently on witness box is an INEC Registration Technical Officer, Obi Peter Ijeoma. He testified to the court that he was involved in transmitting results to the server as instructed by INEC.
He had signed an affidavit in support of PDP and Atiku/Obi in court.
He was the supervisor of the Ward collation center during the February 23, 2019 Presidential Election and he was supervised by the LGA collation Officer.
He was asked by the Buhari lead counsel, Wole Olanipekun, if he has seen the INEC guidelines but he replied that he is aware of the guidelines given to them by INEC concerning their duty as Technical Officer.
He was asked by the APC counsel if he was employed by INEC for such job and he answered and provided a letter from INEC certifying his employment as INEC Tech Officer for the Presidential election.
*Justice Bala Aboki* However, Justice Bala Aboki seems uncomfortable and making gestures that suggest he is trying to intimidate witnesses during cross examination.
More updates later
Updates from the Court of Appeal ...
Dr. Livy Uzoukwu called witness number two on his star witness list:
Ebenezer Olanikan, another INEC tech officer who transmitted results to INEC server.
He was asked by INEC counsel what the name and number of INEC server in which he transmitted results to, but he answered that the server is attached to the Card reader and that they were trained to only transmit results to the server.
First of all, the INEC counsel tried to confused the witness by asking him if this is the first time he is entering the premises of the court of appeal and he said no.
Buhari counsel Olanipekun asked if he has seen the INEC guidelines and he said yes.
He was again asked by Olanipekun if the guidelines says that if the card reader does not work that INEC requested that they should allow voters to vote manually and he said no.
Wole Olanipekun tried to confused him again by changing the question on Manuel voting and the witness said Manual voting was not allowed during the Presidential election.
He was asked if he transmitted the results to server himself of someone did it for him but he answered that he did it himself. That he transmitted the results of the Presidential Election to the INEC server via a code provided to them by INEC.
He was asked by Olanipekun on the particulars of the INEC server and he said the server is connected is connected to the smart card reader and that he transmitted the results to the server as ordered by INEC
Turn of the APC counsel. He asked the witness to look at paragraph 8 of his signed affidavit and asked him to read it out.
The witness read the statement saying that the results were collated by him and transmitted to the server via a code provided to them by the INEC.
APC counsel asked if the results can be transmitted without the code he said yes. And the APC counsel asked him if the code is attached to his witness statement and he said no but that he has the code in his mobile phone.
He was asked if the voting went well in his polling unit and he said yes
He was asked again if the voters were properly accredited and verified and he said yes
And the witness was asked to step aside.
Updates from the Court of Appeal ..
The PDP and Atiku/Obi lead counsel continued with tendering of documents.
He tendered form CF 001 of the second Respondent, Muhammadu Bubari.
INEC Form CF 001 is the form filled by President Muhammadu Bubari, Candidate of the APC before the February 23, 2019 Presidential Election.
*The form contained evidence of the information and credentials presented by President Buhari to INEC certifying his Eligibility in the election. *
Recall that PDP and Atiku/Obi’s Petition on Ground 4 and 5, shows a clear case of perjury.
President Buhari had deposed to an affidavit, lying on oath on schools he attended and investigation has shown that those schools were not in existence as of the time of President Buhari’s claim.
Updates from the court of Appeal...
Dr. Livy presented a receipt of payment certification for the documents tendered (Form CF001) dated 18th of March 2019 and a latter from INEC Officer also in respect of the same exhibit.

nairavsdollars: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
President Muhammadu Buhari’s delay in announcing the names of his would-be ministers is already causing disquiet in the Senate, Daily Independent has gathered.
More than four months after winning the presidential election, the president is yet to constitute his cabinet.
Many who thought the list would be released on May 29 when he was inaugurated were disappointed and the case was the same on June 12 when he addressed the nation on his second term agenda.
He only made few appointments last week when he reappointed Abba Kyari as his Chief of Staff and Boss Mustapha as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Some senators, who spoke with our correspondent at the weekend, said they were still in the dark as to why the president had not forwarded the names to Ahmad Lawan, the Senate President.
It would be recalled that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, disclosed that the list would be ready after the leadership of the National Assembly was fully in place.
However, despite the composition of the principal officers of the National Assembly, the president is yet to send the ministerial list to the Senate for consideration and approval.
According to a senator from the South-East geopolitical zone, they were surprised that the list was not ready despite assurances from the presidency that everything would be in place before they resumed from their two weeks’ recess.
When asked if the list could still be ready before the end of July, the senator said he was not sure as only the president could decide when to send the list.
He, however, said the Senate would begin its eight-week annual recess and would reconvene in September.
“Honestly, I can’t say why the list is being delayed but we are waiting for Mr. President to forward it to us so we can begin work immediately.
“What we were told before going on recess was that it will be ready even before we resume on July 2. I have spoken to many of my colleagues and all of them are not sure what is holding back the list.
“One thing is certain: we will not postpone our two-month annual recess which will begin at the end of this month. If the president did not send the list this week, we may have to wait till September when we resume. We want to do a thorough job in the screening and confirmation of the ministers,” he said.
Also speaking with our correspondent, another senator, who was formerly in the House of Representatives, also said the delay was unnecessary as it was likely that the president would reappoint some of the ministers who served with him in his first term.
He said: “To me, I think the delay is unnecessary. I have always believed that some ministers who served with President Buhari in his first term will be brought back. And we can see that in the reappointment of the Chief of Staff and the SGF.
“We, on our part, are ready for the screening because we know Nigerians are anxious. But nobody can blame the National Assembly because we cannot act on a list we haven’t seen. Nigerians should appeal to Mr. President to do the needful.”
Speaking on the issue at the weekend, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, the Chairman, Senate Ad hoc Committee on Media and Public Affairs, said even if the Senate would go on its annual recess, the lawmakers could decide to break the recess in the interest of the nation.
“It is the prerogative of the president to choose the time he will submit the list of ministers and it is the duty of the Senate to screen and approve the nominees so appointed.
“If the president submits the list before we proceed on recess later this month, we will give it necessary consideration. If, on the other hand, he submits it when we are already on recess, it is not unusual to recall senators from break in the overriding national interest.
“We could break the recess to consider the list whenever it is sent. Whatever it is, we are ready.”
Commenting on the delay, the National Conscience Party (NCP) said the failure of President Buhari to constitute his cabinet is a clear indication that he had not learnt from his lesson.
Yunusa Tanko, National Chairman of the party, said the few appointments made last week by the president showed that he was not willing to change for the better.
“Let us be frank about this. Everybody expected that there would be a new change in the way Mr. President will run his administration but, unfortunately, what we are seeing is different. The election was concluded in February, which is over four months now.
“I was expecting that Mr. President must have learnt from his mistakes. Even when he is finishing his first tenure, he already has the list of people that he wants to put in place so that we can know those people who have the capacity to change the dynamics of this country.
“But, unfortunately, Mr. President has not learnt from his mistakes. In fact, from the two appointments he has made, it has shown that he is not willing to change,” he said. https://www.independent.ng/senators-worried-over-buharis-cabinet-list-delay/ Baba go slow don start again....? |
