ridevendor: Is It Better To Rent a Car or Use Bolt/Uber in Nigeria Right Now? (Honest Comparison)
I’ve been thinking about this lately, especially with how transport costs are going up in Nigeria.
Between:
* Bolt / Uber rides * And renting a car for a day
Which one actually makes more sense?
I decided to look at it from a real-life perspective.
OPTION 1: USING BOLT / UBER
Let’s say you have a busy day:
* 3–5 trips within Ilorin * Maybe one longer movement
Average cost per trip now: ₦3,000 – ₦8,000 (depending on distance & time)
👉 Total for the day can easily hit: ₦15,000 – ₦30,000+
---
Pros:
* No stress about driving * Pay as you go * No commitment
---
Cons:
* Prices fluctuate a lot * Waiting time sometimes long * Multiple drivers, different experiences * Not ideal for full-day movement
OPTION 2: RENTING A CAR (WITH DRIVER)
Average daily cost: ₦50,000 – ₦100,000 depending on the car
Pros:
* Car is available all day * One driver, more consistent experience * No waiting time * Better for multiple movements
Cons:
* Higher upfront cost * Not ideal if you only have 1–2 trips
REAL-LIFE SCENARIO
If you:
* Have many movements in one day * Need comfort * Don’t want delays
👉 Renting starts to make more sense.
But if:
* You’re just moving once or twice
👉 Bolt/Uber is still better.
---
HONEST OBSERVATION
Most people think renting a car is “too expensive”…
But when you actually calculate multiple Bolt/Uber trips in one day, the difference is not always as big as people think.
FROM WHAT I’VE SEEN
The experience also depends heavily on who you use.
A structured provider will:
* Be more reliable * Communicate clearly * Deliver a smoother experience
One example I’ve come across locally is Ride Vendor Limited, but I’m more interested in hearing what others here prefer.
LET’S DISCUSS
* Which one do you prefer currently? * Have you ever calculated your daily Bolt/Uber spend? * Has anyone switched from ride-hailing to car rental before?
Let’s hear real experiences.
FINAL THOUGHT
In Nigeria today, convenience is getting expensive either way.
The real question is:
👉 Do you prefer flexibility or consistency?

Romance › Re: What Do You Do As A Guy, When She Says No? by femi4: 6:04am On Apr 30 |
essentialone: Bro, once you ask a w00man out and she rejects you, the next thing that will happen is that she will lose her respect for you. This happened for most w00men.
The moment a w00man rejects you, she starts seeing herself as your equal or as superior.
Understand that w00men boost their ego through rejection. The most f00lish thing you can ever do in that situation is to keep begging her, f0rcing her or trying so hard to convince her so she can accept you.
There is something you need to know about female attraction.
The moment a w00man say NO to you, know that she means it and there is nothing you can do to change her mind for the real w00men.
But if you go ahead and start seeking for validation, sending data, airtime and gifts to win her over — most of them will pretend to love you because of the benefits and that's all fake.
If a w00man does not see you worthy of a relationship, she will never accept you. In this situation — don't go ahead trying to prove yourself.
Talk to the next w00man — she's not special.
If and only if she will accept you is base on the two conditions:👇
If she can not find another man: That point where she has being piped, used and dumped by the men she want who doesn't want her and then due to the lack of men and age passing her, she will fall back to you as her available option.
Next one is — She will accept you out of pity : this is the worst position a man can ever be, the truth is any w00man who accept you out of pity will always have a void in her heart painting to be filled by the man she genuinely loves. She accepted you out of pity base on what you have spent and invested.
And it's the truth she will always be in a look for better man.
So when you ask a w00man out and she declines, walk away and never look back. Talk to the next w00man. Don't walk out of anger or pain but walk out of self respect and value.
The moment you do that, she will by herself respect you more, she will even feel you did her a favour for asking her out. Out of fear she'll be thinking if she didn't make a mistake by rejecting you She will be monitoring your progress to know if she actually made a wrong decision by rejecting you. She will be comparing you with the man she accepted. That is why you have to focus on your grind and become better person.
But if you keep trying hard to get her, you just avail yourself for more disrespect. Must of them will take advantage of that and accept you knowing you can provide their needs. But believe me bro — she will pun!sh you financially, and still cheat on you with the man she's into.
So bro, if she said no to you or you discovered she's not into you, next her — she's not special.
Control your emotions bro.
Class dismissed. Till I come your way again. Keep following for more.f More like when you woo a girl. A mature wooman don't behave like that If she feels anything, you might get a 2nd third chance before you finally move on |

Food › Re: What Is The Weirdest Food Combo You Have Ever Tried? by femi4: 5:52am On Apr 30 |
Qwikkie: There is always that one thing, that one habit, that one trait that will immediately tell you, this person is Nigerian. You don't even need them to say a word. Could be the way they talk, the way they laugh loud in public without shame, or the way they will finish your food and still ask if there is more. But honestly? Nothing exposes a Nigerian faster than our food combinations.
Because tell me, HOW are we out here creating meals that no nutritionist, no chef, no sane human being on this earth ever sat down and planned? Nobody held a meeting. Nobody wrote a recipe. We just woke up one day and decided this and this should go together and Gbam!!! somehow it worked. And now it's a whole culture.
That is actually what makes us unique sha. We don't follow food rules. We are the food rules.
Now if you ask me personally, the weirdest combo I have ever tried in my life is bread and noodles. Yes. Indomie inside bread. Sandwich style. Don't laugh, because if you have ever been hungry at 11pm with only these two things in the house, you already know that combination hits different. There is something about the softness of the bread meeting the spicy, oily noodles that just makes sense in a way that should not make sense. Trust me, once you try it, there is no going back.
And the worst part? You will be eating it and thinking I cannot tell anybody about this. But we all have one. We all have that combo we made during hunger, boredom, or pure curiosity and it either scarred us for life or became a secret obsession. So I need to know, what is the most weird food combination you have ever tried, and did you enjoy it or did you immediately regret your life choices? Garri n mango |
