Travel / Re: My Uk Visa Was Rejected, What Did I Do Wrong by FemiZets(m): 11:09pm On Oct 13, 2023
Procedural error in your application, particularly with regard to the cost of the training not been a positive correlation with your income. The refusal letter read that you cannot appeal but you can. Though, your chances of getting a UK visa after a refusal is around 50%, depending on the complexity of your case. But not appealing can possess a surreptitious outcome to any future application.

I am billed to attend a company sponsored training in the Uk by the end of the month but my VISA application was turned down for the reasons attached. How do I handle this and improve my chances in my future applications?
Travel / Re: Lady Kicks Her Hubby Out Of His Own Home In UK After He Brought Her From Nigeria by FemiZets(m): 2:22pm On Mar 14, 2023
Bro, he doesn't need to call the police as they'll always be on the side of the woman. If you live in UK, you'll understand. I'm an immigration lawyer and I can count the number of our guys that I have bailed (this year alone) from police detention all cuz of wrong accusations from their partner. Why? Because the women always use the loopholes as soon as they can 'stand' on their own. But karma is a bitch as they, most of the times get served.

quote author=etrange post=121668555]Sad to watch.

Let's assume it's not a skit. What did he do? His actions here are very calculated. He's not angry or even emotional. He's recording her and saying exactly what he wants the people watching the video to hear. That's not the typical reaction of an innocent black man. If someone is kicking you out of your own house, all you have to do is to call the police. The law is not arbitrary, so they won't support her blindly. But he didn't do that. He made a video saying things like "honey", "let me settle", etc. without addressing the reason he's being kicked out. He clearly seeks the sympathy of the biased African demography. The lady on the other is very upset and couldn't care less about sounding nice or pleasing anyone at the moment. That's someone who's been hurt.

Before y'all come for me, please know that no woman has the right to wake up and kick her partner out of thier house just like that. They pay the rent/mortgage together, and the lady has just as much right as the man (it's not like Africa where the man is the only source of income in many homes). To kick one partner out of the house, you must obtain a legal permission for that. Such permissions are given on the ground of abuse, cheating, etc. So whenever you see a man leaving the house for a woman without making a fuss, he must have done something that he wouldn't want to get to court. So they just give in at the moment and resort to reasoning afterwards or, like in this case, appeal to public sympathy.

I see how this video can be triggering to Nigerians who are used to having it the other way round. Y'all forget that men throw women out of the house everyday in Nigeria and nobody makes a big deal about it. The logic is, it is his house. So going by that same logic, when it is not just his house anymore, it makes sense that he becomes just as accountable as the woman.

I wish them peace!

Travel / Re: How Much Do I Have To Budget For Visa To These Countries? by FemiZets(m): 5:07pm On Jan 27, 2022
It depends on lots of factors like: Your chosen course, your background (as you could qualify for fee reduction), your sponsor (having one gives an advantage), your proposed mission (to stay after course or to travel back to Nigeria), how much you have for tuition and accomodation etc. Remember that the rate of exchange is different for educational purposes. Check this site: www.andyoeo.co.uk and send me a message thereafter. We often visit Lagos/Abuja for student recruitments.

quote author=BuyAndSellStuff post=109728910]Hi Travel gurus,

I need help on budget estimate for student visa + tuition to the following countries.

US
UK
Canada
Australia
Poland
Germany
Netherlands
Sweden
Russia
France

It doesn't have to be an exact figure, just an estimate of how much to be budget is fine.

Thank you very much.
Career / Re: Chartered Accountancy? How Lucrative Is It? by FemiZets(m): 5:33pm On Nov 18, 2021

Lol boss you’ve gone far oo!! We are talking of Naija now? And is there anyway that a chartered accountant can be recognized in uk?

Of course, you can get a job in UK but you must first register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) signed a Pathway MOU Agreement with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) on May 10, 2018. Under this Agreement, ICAN members may apply to become members of ICAEW with or without writing further examinations. My advice is for whoever to first register with ICAEW.

Very lucrative, especially if you add an international dimension to it. For instance, in my firm where I'm a managing partner (UK), Graduates can expect to earn salaries of up to £40,000. During training, the average earning potential can be up to £65,000. The average annual salary for a chartered accountant is £84,500, with an average yearly bonus of £17,300.

The debt profile and total saving amount part of the write up will be a bit hard to swallow. Its like asking someone how much you've in your pocket for raining days. How much you owe to others like your bank, mortgage etc! Over here, first thing to know is that, as a society, we are addicted to credit cards. Almost everybody has used one at some time in their life, and more than half of people carry a balance on their credit card from month to month.
That means a ton of us (maybe you) are spending money needlessly on interest and fees.
It’s because we’ve been convinced of the myth that credit cards are a necessary part of life. That’s just a broad myth that way too many people believe. But when you consider reality, these myths just don’t hold up.

Romance / Re: Counter Thread To "Lies Women Tell Themselves" by FemiZets(m): 2:27pm On Mar 10, 2017
I think there is still this stigma among our generation about divorce. Friends may ask a recently divorced lady whether she felt that she had failed. Failed! Marriage isn't an exam. The one big regret is about money - such lady could wish she'd been more shrewd. I tell my sisters, that they should make sure that they always has their own money, no matter who they marries."

Of course it's painful to discover that your partner has been having sex with someone else, whoever she may be, but its rather more painful that, he told people all sorts of stuff about the problems you've been having within your relationship - really personal stuff. And his onereous purpose is to justify his actions. Too bad!

Why are we so impatient. Over here, the PM promised to review the Human Rights Act but after the election he was speaking from the other side of the mouth. Heaven did not fall, neither was the anti-conservative press after his gut. But in naija, we are always interested or rather looking forward to find a fault with others. Let's give this government a chance to prove us right or wrong. There's nothing beyond our maker, He can make the crocked way a good and straight one.
