Do you know that I am part of the problem of this country, I have never voted in life, and now the PVC registration is ongoing in every LOCAL GOVT AREA 9a.m to 3p.m everyday, I have not created time to go and register, but when I hear that it will close in 2 weeks time, then I and others like me, will rush to go and register, and I will complain that we are not organized in this country.
God help me, but I really need to help myself now.

Op, you are wrong, the whole country is in trouble not only the sport sector. Go to your nearest state hospital, school, road to confirm

2019 is getting far away each day, we need to draw 2019 closer to change this change
The major problem of this country is we the youth or let me say the "enlightened" during the time of election, we stay back in houses allowing thugs, area boys and misinformed people to determine our destiny. Even if we have an election today I will not be surprise if this government still win, a look at the states election will give us an idea of what to come.

When need to wake up

When need to participate

God help Nigeria. Amen

I believe Bugatti has failed us, but on this matter I support him, and I feel the news is over hyped. I am married, and I am from the west. The first duty of the wife, is to take care of the family including the house. She is the House Manager, any other role is secondary. I plead we spare him on this.

Guy, I stumble on this your post below today, with the current environment, this your $150,000 will be like $420,000 now o, how far guy?

Meanwhile, I am self employed and earn over $150,000 as my basic salary. Key: Vote someone that would create the right environment for you to create employment. That person is the People's General - Mohammadu Buhari.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Accused Of Plagiarising Obama’s Speech by femlex(m): 10:40pm On Sep 16, 2016
mars123:
so you would have preferred he started quoting references after he finished the speech? you should be smarter than this.

For your information, plagiarism is when you copy someones work and take credit for it. then u can be stripped of honours and taken to court too, this I know.

But you cannot tell me Buhari has committed a crime by using part of someone's speech. Why because a speech is a vocalised form of communication, when its rephrased, becomes original. and hence its not a crime to copy part of someone speech if it fits with the occasion. leaders everywhere every time do it and you can research if you want.

moreover credit can't be given in this case because it was rephrased hence you can't say "like Obama said". The writers(criminal minds or not) are very aware and more learned than you are too.

After all my explanation though, you are still free to have an opinion that matters to no one, not even the original owner of the speech. Because haters can't be reasoned with.
You are one of the major problems we have in this country. Did you listen to the whole news?, in case you did not, the presidency said someone in the presidency has taken responsibility for the mistake, and the person aside query will be duly punished.
Nobody is above mistake, once you make one apologize, like the presidency has done and let us move. You create problems when you argue or try defending.

Thanks to everyone in Nairaland that made contributions.

I have met with my Organisation and decided to stay. I am overwhelmed by their support and believe for me.

The decision is also in line with the majority of those that gave advice on this platform. 29 posts advised I stayed while 15 asked me to leave while others made various contributions.

I also considered the fact that in my eight years working period, I have worked in 6 different Organisations. I hope to stay here for at least 2 years before moving, and that is if needed.

I appreciate you

And for those still searching for job, please just be patient, God will make it happen soon, and one day you look back and laugh.

Thanks

I have read through all the comments, I have listened to my family especially my wife, and I will pray for God's guidance tonight.
Once again, I sincerely appreciate your contributions.

FamilyRe: My Wife Spat On My Face This Morning, What Should I Do? by femlex(m): 11:04pm On Sep 12, 2016
I have married for six years now, and just early this week myself and my wife were thinking about our first two years of marriage, hardly will a weekend pass without us having a quarrel, mostly she complains I do not assist her in the house especially in the weekends when I felt too that I should be resting.

Today we hardly quarrel, and she does almost all house chores.

In marriage, you have the forming, storming, norming, performing stage like in a team. At the first to third year, you are majorly part of the storming process and this is likely the things you come across.

Sending her back to Nigeria is not an option at all, how many will you send home?

For you to maintain your cool, it shows a lot of maturity and love from your side, but you self get fault for this matter. The way you are mentioning FIFA in your message shows you give the lady less attention than she expect. This could be part of what is burning her.

Be the man that you are, brace yourself, this will not be last.

Get inside, talk to her, make love to her, and manage this, and next that may be next week until you reach the norming stage.
God bless you.

OP. I tap into the Rhema of your Monthly net salary.

A welcome dilemma you have here. But I think you should stay put with your present employer. 53k seems too good to turn down but I believe the perks and climate of your present employer does a lot to balance the score. The fact that it is a bigger company presents a bigger platform with better growth opportunities should be a good sway.
Also, now you may not be the head of your unit now but when you do I reckon such promotion should come with an increase of more than 53k amongst other perks (not minding the fact that you may have had your pay grade upgraded before then)
8ut the above is just my opinion. Na you hold the gun, na you go pull trigger.
Let God lead sha. All the best!!!
Thanks Bros, I really appreciate your time and effort on this. My heart is really in my present job but my head is in the new one.
I guess I will follow my heart.
Thanks

Hello OP,it's a two way thing. It might work against you and it might not work against you.We don't know the attitude of the bosses in your organization, you do, so you should be able to judge for yourself.

My advice, since you are enjoying the place, just take a calculated risk and stay put.Cheers
Thanks Intelligent dude.

The altitude of my bosses and colleagues towards me presently is very positive, and I believe it will be same in the new place. My calculation is has analyzed below
New Place,
Additional N53k monthly, smaller organisation compare to my present, head of my unit, job can last for at least four years, and unknown working environment.

Old place
Bigger Organisation, has more future in terms surviving, work as a support to the head of the unit, friendly colleagues and fear of being tagged not loyal to the organisation by requesting to leave in the first place, the last is my major worry.

I will weigh and add all the advice I get on this platform and other friends to the risk calculation before taking final decision.

Thanks

I think your present organization actually know your worth but since you didn't complain, they just kept mute and were watching. I very much doubt if it will used against you in future considering the fact that they pay others that amount too. You mean a lot to them for them to have agreed to increase your pay and have you stay. Please kindly let me know if it's in the construction sector. Cheers
Thanks Brother,

Thanks for the advice, I really do appreciate, It is not a construction sector, but in an NGO sector. Thanks

Some people will just come here and start oppressing the jobless!

God dey!
I am sorry if you see this as oppressing, I did not start earning this in in first job, even though some are that lucky, I started with a job of 35k in 2008, and the 35k was reduced to 18k monthly when the organisation was not doing well, and when it folded up, a got a job of 45k in Abuja in 2010, and that of 60k, and that of 100k e.t.c before I got to this point, and I hope to get better and I pray for God's favour. We shall all be blessed, time and chance makes the difference between us and the rich

Good day to you my fellow Nairalanders, I kindly need your advice.

I got a new job five months ago, and my monthly net is a little above 300K. On getting to the organisation I discovered my that some of my colleague with same skill sets earn close too 400k. I became demotivated, and I started applying to other organisations, and just last week I got a new job offer of above 400k monthly, I spoke with my supervisor on it and about me resigning, and after 3 days, the management of my present organisation called me and offer to give me close to 400k if I decide to stay. Please I kindly need your advice.

I personally will love to stay because I love the Organisation and my skill are well appreciated but my major fear is that it may be used against me in the nearest future by my present organisation. I really need your advice especially for someone that has experience this below.

Thanks
