mytime24: Since Buhari has been the most mentioned name in Nigeria this past year, i think Oxford dictionary should consider creating a space for him in the dictionary. like; Buhari: /boo-ha-ree/ nouns: Buhari 1. hard, hardship, difficult, harsh, tough. e.g the economy is now Buhari for the masses 2. to complicate, make worse, unbearable. e.g "please don't come and Buharificate issues here". "the only way to reduce applicants is to Buharify the process. Adjective : e.g how was your exam? it was Buharific! I think you are right |

You have the most valid and straightforward point. seankay:
While your point about the cost of education in the US is correct, you should also note that financial aids in terms of loan, scholarships, grants and all are available to their students. A student can go through college without paying a dime but will pay back in installment for about 10 years when he starts working full time. An average American student while in college own a car and have a job. You are not even guaranteed a job after spending million in Nigeria. Government should provide jobs and create a business thriving atmosphere in Nigeria before thinking of hiking the tuition fee. |

Before you type always do your findings. When they claimed to have privatized the power sectors and the better part of it was sold to the croonies of those in power as at that time. Do you still called that full privatization ![](/faces/huh.png) It"s all scam bro. We are even paying more for what we don"t use (electricity). We had no light for almost 3 months and we pay higher for that period than when power was available a little. Anything goes in Naija. Jx make the little change you can around you Cromcruach91:
DISCOS and GENCOS are not owned by government either...so good example. |
Politics / Re: Electricity Consumers To Pay More In New NERC Regulation by Femmedy: 2:36pm On Mar 20, 2018 |
Is GSM owned by Nigerian government. Wrong example bro. Cromcruach91:
GSM!
Prices were sky high back in 2002....and service was bad.
The money earned from the sky high prices was used to pay for improvements to the infrastructure which meant better services...and eventually prices came down.
Scam or not...we need money to fix power in this country...and since it has been privatized...we are paying for the pleasure. 1 Like |

Moreover, why are they not talking about giving every household prepaid meters first. I am being charged based on estimate (estimated bill) at an abnormal high rate, now that they want to increase it.... they should kukuma come and collect all my salary naa. Politics / Re: Electricity Consumers To Pay More In New NERC Regulation by Femmedy: 2:30pm On Mar 20, 2018 |
Cromcruach91: Before we grumble...consider a few facts
1.When we privatised electricity distribution and generation, the price increase was written into the law that governs the thing.
2.We need anything between $300-900billion to get light 24/7.
3.Privatization means that you pay more from your pocket.
4.We have to pay our bills...and let's be frank...we pay bills lower than countries like Ghana...who pay twice as much as we do.
5.Electricity is not a free lunch. Can you just be real for once, Tell me that product or commodity which we have been promised in the past to enjoy in abundance after increase in price or tariff that has favoured Nigerians. Dude, this country is one big scam. 1 Like |
