The point is everyone become better through interaction. And does it really matter if they have more tech than us? You have to start from where you are. They didn't get to where they are now in a single day.

By the way, I and some other guys have started "3ds Lagos", a Lagos based 3ds Max user group. The European 3ds Max rep for EMEA is in full support of the group, and will be providing whatever support Autodesk can muster. It's completely free to attend, and is meant to provide a meeting point for people using 3ds max where ideas, techniques and industry news can be shared. Chaosgroup is also offering a fully functional commercial V-Ray 2.0 License as a prize to a winner from the group for any competition we hold.

In relation to the price of software, if it's Autodesk, you can get the free educational license. There's even a version for the unemployed artist/architect/special effect professional, etc as well. It's fully functional, no watermark, and is valid for 3 years. That is what I use, and no problems at all with it. Just check the Autodesk site.

The late MKO Abiola’s family, including his son and daughter have expressed joy over Jonathan’s decision to rename University of Lagos (UNILAG) as Moshood Abiola University.
Mr. Abdul Abiola, MKO Abiola’s son, said there was nothing wrong with the naming of the university after his father, saying that the family is shocked by the outrage trailing the presidents decision.
Abdul Abiola says the renaming is just one way of honouring and immortalising the late business mogul.
“We are shocked by the reactions trailing this development. My late father believed so much in education.
“He donated money to universities across the nation. Naming a university after him was a well-deserved honour,” he said.
“He should still be given more honours. We see nothing political in this.
“We are happy about it and we are yet to understand the rationale behind people going up in arms over this decision,” he added.
Daughter of the late MKO abiola, Hafsat Abiola-Costello, described the presidents gesture as well deserved.
“It is honour well deserved. We should just remember that his commitment was to end poverty. That was what he was fighting for. It’s honour for him and those who fought with him.” she said

scientific farming is a system of farming where the farmer will be in usa and be farming in bayelsa state. under this scientific farming, an ijaw fisherman could be in abuja and at the same time fishing in bayelsa. why won't they say whatever they like when we don't ask them questions or make them responsible to their words.
i forgot to inform u that under scientific farming, a farmer can be in his house and make billions in dollars without visiting farms or markets.

don't be deceived, pdp is not about voting. they set up an electoral college where the chairman(jega) ask for over N100 billion to print a black and white paper with no one asking him questions. is a shame if anyone tot or believe that pdp or jonathan won a free and fair election.

This would however be a great time to collaborate with other programmers, many of them more experienced and skilled, to not only build a neat application that proves useful not just to developers, but also those out there is Nigeria world.

Please submit ideas you may have and we can vote, and make a decision on which idea is best. Your idea must be unique, and a good one too. Those who submit lame arsed ideas will be snubbed. And no, you cannot use the product from this project for your final year project.
Please open your creative minds and come up with spectacular ideas that we can implement and deploy for use.

Many on here are Computer Scientists at heart, so let the Scientist in you come forth. Bring up those ideas you have.
