PoliticsRe: Dirtier Lagos? Heaps Of Refuse Everywhere by Feraz(m): 10:38am On Feb 12, 2018
Omooba77:
Lagos state waste disposal needs to be totally rejig; most junctions in Yaba, Ebute-Meta, Surulere, Ishaga, Lawason, Ajah, Osodi and so on are litered with heaps of refuse everywhere. Now that rain has come; air borne diseases and epidemics are closer to us! Please Gov. Ambode do something!
It's been bothering me also that I thought of opening a thread on this before I saw yours. The images above are 'manageable'. Go to the Island - Adeniji Adele, Idumota, Idumagbo, Jankara, Tinubu, Sura ironically, that's Visionscope HQ and all these places are close to Sura) etc. and you will see what dirt is. On further enquiry, I was made to understand that the people that normally carry people's trash have been banned and many were arrested so residents have to drop theirs on the pavements that separate the roads and then later at night, Visionscope disposes of the trash. I am just feeling sorry for this rainy season and how everywhere would stink. The rain would tell on the citizens.

EsotericMonk:
Sorry to say but Yoruba ppl are naturally dirty.
Please, don't make this about the Yoruba people. The govt. is at fault here.

SAMBARRY:
the issue is that the infrastructural facilities cannot accommodate or cater for the large population living in Lagos nog which the so called infrastructural facilities in Lagos are deteriorating BECAUSE they're not maintained.look at the gutters, they're over full and dripping out yet people are comfortable living within filth

Look at Oshodi fly over and bridge, market women have turned it to a place where they sell their wares, beggars and other people with disabilities have littered the place, bus tips are where market women dump waste and loafers defecate.just check iyanapaja bustop for example
It is not population fault. I mean, Lagos has had a large population and Fashola was able to handle this so what makes that of Ambode different?

temmytee20:
Govt caused dis.... They re trying to stop all D private waste collectors from working..... So they insist that waste trucks shld not enter any street again.... So all D house shld bring there dirt to the main side of the road so as to allow easy access of Govt trucks..... Bt the waste are now getting much..... And they don't com on time to pack them.....
Oh, was that what the govt. representative said? Because that is what people are truly doing.

BianoJay:
I'm not joking. I did all the tests and video interview with my phone. Your C9 can do it. Just use the latest Chrome browser and make sure you give Chrome permission to access microphone and camera, then you're good to go. No issues whatsoever.

I was very skeptical at first too, but in the end, it was a piece of cake.

A little advice: look for a reading table and chair or any table that can give you a perfect position for your face, and shoulder to appear on your camera, then use something like a stand to place your phone in an upright position. Before you start, keep your phone in the said position and test your front facing camera if it captures you well, then go ahead.
Hmmm. I will have to try using Edge browser on my Windows Phone. Thanks for the tip.

I only wish they could extend the deadline. Today being the deadline for me is short. embarassed

EODforce:
. fornicator is Dave umahi's media dawg

he is same person as Nweze , we in the state are saying there is nothing tangible Dave umahi has done for us

forget the media hogwash
So in summary, you are saying Sam Egwu and Martins Elechi performed better than him? Achi4u, do you agree?

TheKingIsHere:
I tell you. It is better for rivers state to collonize ebonyi than to allow those terrorists a piece of land in Ebonyi.

This is a big lessons to all igbos, stop making mouth online rather work together especially with your fellow southern brothers.

The whole of SE will soon be flooded with fulani terrorists.

I pity them. they dont know history.

Let them go and learn from the hausas and Afonja in Ilorin who gave the fulanis lands and lost their heritage, identity and throne to them
LOL! This is funny. We do not now history, yet, we have been the most vocal of this whole cattle colony policy thing? We have had bitter history with the North and we know how things play out especially when they try using our politicians against us.

Anyway, how many times have the Igbos tried working with our Southern brothers that they always mistrust us? There's always this feeling of we want to steal their lands and oil. I am sure you have seen it numerous times here and also, offline. Where do you start if you were the one knowing they would still tag you 'sore losers who is still reeling from the pain of 2015 election defeat'?

DerideGull:
I guess you should be careful what you wish yourself. Dave Umahi will only last for 8 years as governor but Ebony State will never cease to be Igbo land. People say prevention is better then cure. When the need arises for the Ebonyians to take up arms, the entire Igbo land will not look the other way.
Thank you for the bolded.

. nwokem mechie onu, that devil hasn't done half what his predecessors did to my darling state

as a typical Christ embassy man, all he does is paint and light up everywhere with different colours with no tangible infrastructural to boast of

i hate devil umahi with passion and i pray he fails in his second term bid

i hate asslickerz
But our brother Funnicator thinks otherwise. Besides, with the projects I have seen him carry out that have graced FP, I still rank him ahead of Egwu and Elechi. BTW, why do you want to turn this thread into Imo vs Anambra by tagging Chino to Abagworo's post in your previous post?

comrChris:
I think ignoring these people should be the best, what benefit can an average ebonyi man say he has gotten from being among these four wicked and uncouth states except insults, names calling, painting ebonyi n ebonyians black before the world even when things on ground say otherwise. With that high marginazation ebonyians suffered in the hands of these evil brothers we have managed to attain to this level, so many of them who try so hard to paint ebonyi black have never setted their foot on ebonyi.

Even with the underdeveloped nature of ekiti n osun you can never hear them insult any of these states even with fayoses madness, i have been to ekiti severally and i know ebonyi is far developed than that state.

Its understood that ebonyi is educationally disadvantaged but i tell you that things have changed, there are a lot of improvement,

I totally disagree with Dave on this and ebonyians are wiser now to allow him carry out this plan if there is truth in that.

If other easterners continue to insult us, it will better we cecede from then
But erm...people have insulted Anambra state especially during Mbadinuju's tenure, Imo state has had their fair share of insults, ditto Abia. People have tagged some of us ritualists, redlight workers, criminals etc. but we do not go about resenting those Igbo states that have done so. If anything, I am happy that Ebonyi state is getting the infrastructural development it needs even though much is needed to be done and I am positive others feel the same way; I can also say many Igbos, irrespective of state origin, take it on themselves to insult any SE governor that performs below par or that does something stupid to the detriment of his people and by extension, Igbos at large.

achi4u:
Sincerely speaking, we Ebonyians are not benefiting anything being in south East with all those callous Igbo brothers, even when I knew I'm better than you but because u are from Anambra or Imo state then I should fuckkk off.
Dave Umahi is on his own, we Ebonyians will take up arms when the need arise.
Which state in the SE has benefitted from being in SE. The truth is we all share that same feeling and till we push our governors to have Igbos in mind first before politics, then we all will continue feeling this way.

CC: Pazienza, Nonaira1, Plaetton, what's your take on both the topic and the above persons I have quoted?

I tell you that idiot is an unapologetic Buharist, and it's time his people cut him to size by denying him a second term. Should this guy secure PDP's ticket for second term, Ebonyi should look for another candidate to vote for, outside of APC or PDP.
He's done more for the state since its creation than his predecessors so voting him out is rather not possible. I'd only say they should protest against the law peacefully. But left to me, Umahi has his citizens more at heart than many of the sellouts we have as governors in the SE.

BiafraIShere:
I hope this is a joke, and I'm waiting for the government of Ebonyi state to debunk it soon or else this will go down in history as the worst form of abomination ever. How can a supposed sitting governor say that outsiders will be paid double compensation for any of their cow killed for whatever reason while the indigenous farmers will get no compensation for their crops destroyed and the destroyers punishment will only be to ask them to leave? Even when they can still come back again next time!? Grazing reserve in Ebonyi, a supposed Igbo and PDP state when others even in the same party with the terrorist have refused to give the herdsmen lands!!! Amadioha will surely strike this man dead if this has any element of truth in it. Even Rochas with all his funny moves cannot try such in Imo state. Igbo nation will cede Ebonyi state to the middle belt if this is true, because we have had enough embarrassment from them already.
Na Una kind dey always bring division for Igboland. As OUK talk all the useless thing wee in talk, why you no annex Abia state? What of Mbadinuju? What of Rochas? Ken Nnamani et ? Why you no annex the states of these numerous people wee don talk spoil?

You just wan rile up Igbos for here now bah?

Funnicator:
please cede ebonyi out. who even takes you imo guys as brothers? when rochas goes about embarrassing igbos with his endless line of statues and stupid alignment with northerners at the expense of Igbo interest, nobody talks about expelling imo state from the south east political and regional block and here you are unilaterally making bile decisions.

if you or your state members decide to politically remove igbos from south east, don't go round claiming you want a fifth and sixth state to balance you with other regions.

yorubas have an embarrassment in Osun state with their huge debt profile and underdevelopment, even ekiti state, yet you'll never hear of expelling.

you are such a dolt and even if the rest of igbos want to unigbo ebonyians, we'll be glad over it because the names calling from you guys have been much right from the creation of the state, yet you forget that if you older igbos had developed ebonyi state when it was part of the old eastern block, we would be farther developed than we are now. yet we had to wait to get our own state before we had any educational or infrastructural achievements.

go ahead and expel them, like Singapore they'll bounce back and shame Malaysia. no one will miss you or beg to be returned to the fold.

sick, supremacists.
Bros, abeg, no vex. Don't lump the rest of the Igbos with what he said. Attack him and leave others out. Also, don't forget he is the chairman of the SE governors' forum showing the confidence his colleagues have in him.

Remember Dave is very close to Bubu, he'll do anything to please him like the prodigal son of Kogi (Yahya Bello). I expect Okoroawusa to do the same in Imo in the coming days, so that we 'll know that 40 percent of Igbo land is being given out.
LOL! My fear ever since the whole cattle colony thing started is gradually coming to reality and that is the fear of being sold out by these same governors. I was initially thinking Obiano may be the first to do so but be that as it may, I still do not trust him. You're right about Umahi - he wants to be in the good books of the president so he's subtly acting like Bello of Kogi.

I'm shocked that herdsmen would leave with warning while peasant farmers would pay double the price for killing any cow that eats up the crop. Talk about misplaced priority. A fool he is to have thought of this. Unfortunately, this wouldn't make them vote him out if the reports are true.

BTW, your other post of alluding the Igbos starting up tribal fight, on the contrary, it was a well known baba sycophant that started it here. Well, I trust my brothers to call Umahi an Hausa-Fulani slave in the coming days.

Then again, they should better watch out for the Ezza people. Those ones stubborn and are ready to match blood with more blood.

doctokwus:
This is a dangerous path.
Years down the line they settle, establish families and generations down Start laying claim to the lands given as a temporary grazing field to their fathers.
InvertedHammer:
So anyone that kills a cow pays double the price.

But any herdsman whose cows destroy crops gets warned and moved to another community.

Where are the State Assembly members when you need them?

Then again, I believe they built thes themselves and not call on any country to do so. If they had called on another country, I am positive the would not have had the number of HS trains they do now and this brings me to asking: when do we get things right here? When are we going to appreciate our own just like China did theirs? I remember then, people insulting their products, but now, many Nigerians try to order things from them. Same happened with the Japs, they were criticized by Western countries on their inferior products but now, they rule in certain advanced fields.
