Our oyel money. Chai! |
Of all the things VP Osinbajo said, it was only this one, which he might have said in passing that made headline. Tinubu camp at work. |
The treasury is red because Willie Obiano built badly-needed infrastructure. The treasury is red because the House of Assembly you are addressing demanded so much to do their constitutional job. The treasury is red because Willie Obiano spent so much money to secure the state using all kinds of unconventional strategies. The treasury is red because Willie Obiano spent heavily to make you an APGA candidate, to fight legal battles for INEC to recognize you and to ensure safe and secure campaigns as well as to mobilize grassroots support for your victory on election day. You know all these when they were being done. Now, build up the treasury and block leakages as promised. Do critical reforms to correct Obiano's mistakes. But also do well to to build more badly-needef infrastructure. Get to work because there is no time to waste time. |
They are boldly showing where their loyalty lies. That's not a problem as they can still vote another candidate on the convention day. Besides, Aregbesola has some sympathetic delegates on his side. As a politician, you don't just give up until the election day. You keep working. |
Anambra State PDP publicity secretary aspirant ranting on Nairaland won't solve issues. First, solve Chris Ubah imbroglio and then you can see clearly. God bless APGA. God bless Anambra State. |
Honestly, feeding of prisoners is one thing that should be looked into. Prisoner welfare-focused CSOs need to make more noise. Take extensive picture and video of these meals and make it viral on social media. Enough money is budgetted but very watery meals are given. That's pure wickedness. I had expected Ogbeni Aregbesola to implement some reforms from 'begging culture' of prison officers, renovation of prisons, to prisoners' welfare but he is busy fighting his godfather Asiwaju Tinubu. Very sad. |
What special things has Gov. Kayode Fayemi done in Ekiti State to dream of being president? Ineffectual intellectual. |
Obiano and Gov. Soludo call themselves regularly while OP is busy losing sleep over them. Funny stuff! Today Gov. Soludo presented revised 2022 budget to the House of Assembly based on his plans for the remaining part of the year. OP is busy getting unnecessarily frustrated. |
Ironically, most of these Governors were installed by their predecessors but on becoming EXECUTIVE Governors relegated those Ex-Governors to political irrelevance as they strengthen their own political structure for 2nd term battle. Now, they are doing the same thing their predecessors did by imposing a favorite candidate. What makes them believe that the medicine they gave to their predecessors will not be given to them also by these favorite candidates on becoming the EXECUTIVE Governor? Cyclic high-handedness, karmic outcome. |
Sabinus to Bobrisky: Well done, senior man. How is family? Bobrisky: ![]() |
Ozonkpu Victor Oye is a stubborn and difficult man. May be Dr. Reuben Abati already knew about him and had prepared his mind for a difficult interview, which made him to shoot from the hip at slight aggression. In any case, Dr. Reuben Abati has come a long way as journalist and having ran for political office is not a person to be intimidated by a fellow politician. |
I have a feeling that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu might run for a political office soon. All these sudden loosening ups even in the court and that order to allow him watch Liverpool matches are not ordinary. Mike Ozekhome SAN is involved, remember! |

You'll Never Walk Alone |
Who stood strongly and boldly by Rotimi Amaechi in Nigeria when he hid in Ghana while his lawyers were pursuing his case against Celestine Omehia and Dr. Odili his godfather. The answer is Nyesom Wike. Who willingly served in Amaechi's government against Odili's wish? The answer is Odili boys including Nyesom Wike as Chief of Staff, Magnus Abe, Lee Maeba, etc. Who conceived the idea of setting up panel to probe Odili? Amaechi backed by his fellow Odili boys in his government. Therefore it is HYPOCRITICAL to put the whole betrayal burden on Amaechi alone. |
Fair enough. However, power is never given on a platter. You have to long before election start reaching out and building bridges. With the inroad that Peter Obi had made within short time, one can imagine if he started reaching out to delegates with his vision subtly and early. |
Too may wahala in Naija. The place the incident happened may have aroused suspicion of attack but the fact is that gas cylinder can explode if handled poorly. Unfortunately, army of jobless youths trying to loot instead of being productive. Look, more than political restructuring, Nigeria needs economic restructuring to inspire states and geopolitical zones to explore and leverage their comparative economic advantages. |

Kneeling for comfort to facilitate discussion. No big deal. |
Wannabenz:Interestingly because you desperately need the attention of the owner of the ministry (pastor, prophet, evangelist, prayer warrior, etc) to solve your problem, you will willingly and happily pay for all merchandise. The fact is that nobody forces anybody to pay for these things except your desperation to solve your problem and of course through the use of motivational talks, emotional blackmail and perhaps spiritual manipulation by the owner of the ministry. |
Wannabenz:Why do people hate making token financial sacrifices for spiritual stuff but will readily make heavy sacrifice to woo a partner for sex or pay heavily to get shortlisted for a job interview or a gig interview? |
Hizzy:Why should you be late to your wedding, after several months of preparation? The priest is not your personal priest. He has other tasks to do to meet the needs of other parishioners. Would you be late to US, UK or Canada visa interview appointment? |
slivertongue:You thought they are out to feather your nests before. It is about selfish interests. The talk about service to the public is just secondary. |
realstars:How was that "no man's house' built and being maintained? From paying security to fuelling generator and changing electric bulbs and all the vital things in between. |
As far as Obanikoro's son is going for 2nd term in HoR, Musiliu Obanikoro wouldn't have attempted to go to Senate. So, I doubt this story. It may have been planted by Tinubu's political opponents. |
Thumb up to Mr. Macaroni for the timely 'tackle' on unrepentant interloper Daniel Regha. Nigeria, at this time, is blessed with many excellent hardworking skit makers. And they all have different styles and themes. But if there must be a award winner for any year, it is up to the subjectivity of the award committee to choose. That choice doesn't belittle others. It is just the choice of the Award committee. Congratulations to Sabinus on his award. |
What does Abba Kyari want us to do now? Release him to go home? Of course, that's not possible. Putting him under house rest is too risky considering he will have his boys in NPF at his neck and call. He is already in a private cell and I am sure the prison officials will do their best to shield him. He should be careful what he asks for. Which is better: Kuje prison or FBI cell? |
Gov. Ganduje is virtually alone in his camp. He stepped on many toes and humiliated many. He played God. It looks a bad end for him. I have a strong feeling that Gov. Ganduje will be prosecuted for that bribery incidence and he may end up in jail. |
