PoliticsRe: Why Yemi Osinbajo Lost APC Presidential Primary - Vanguard by festacman(m):
Contrary to many people's thinking, I don't believe Prof. Yemi Osinbajo's political career is at great risk for contesting against his mentor Asiwaju Tinubu. Having been VP, the only position to aspire to is President and there is nothing stopping from doing that in future. There is no 100% assurance Asiwaju Tinubu will win the presidential election. So, Osinbajo just needs to tarry, keep being himself, building goodwill and network across Nigeria.

Talking about Osinbajo betraying Tinubu, what do you use to describe what Ganduje did to Kwankwanso, what Amaechi/Wike did to Odili, what Oyetola did to Aregbesola, what Tambuwal did to Wammako, what Udom did to Akpabio, etc.?

The fact is that there comes a time when someone needs to take a bold leap of fate in life regardless of other people's opinions. However, one must courageous to the consequences of such bold move if it goes south.
PoliticsRe: Adamu To Tinubu: Your Victory Was Sterling, Confirms APC’s National Outlook by festacman(m):
The fact that Sen. Abdullahi Adamu declared Sen. Ahmed Lawan as consensus candidates and was immediately disowned by slippery Pres. Buhari really painted him in bad light. He worsened his case by humiliating the APC State Governors when he refused to meet with them on the issue and went into hiding.

Difficult to say if he was used by the cabal or if Pres. Buhari really wanted Sen Ahmed Lawan to be president. But one thing is certain, he will be lucky to remain the national chairman after 2023 elections.

PoliticsRe: Ahmad Lawan Writes Tinubu, Explains Why He Ran Against Him by festacman(m): 6:36pm On Jun 08, 2022
He needs to pay an immediate visit to Bourdillon to explain how he suddenly became a consensus candidate mischievously. Otherwise, his political career ends. grin
PoliticsRe: Fayemi Congratulates Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, APC Presidential Candidate by festacman(m):
Some likely political casualties of Tinubu's presidency if he eventually gets elected:

- Dr. Kayode Fayemi in spite of stepping down will lose his control of APC structure after 2023 election in Ekiti State. Unless, he gets back one of the senatorial ticket quickly now, his political career is up in the air.

- Sen. Ibikunle Amosun political career is up in the air because post 2023, Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) will step up to control APC structure in Ogun State as a prelude to becoming the Governor in 2027.

- Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola's political career is dead unless miracle of forgiveness happens.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu To Lawan: "You Can Easily lick Your Wounds" by festacman(m):
To VP Yemi Osinbajo, that's a mocking jibe from Asiwaju Tinubu that the man you served and hoped to help you, failed you. So keep serving him till end.

To Senate President Ahmed Lawan, that's a serious good bye message from Tinubu. The calabash has broken. The friendship ends here.

The political career of Senate Ahmed Lawan who has spent about two decades in NASS is at the risk of ending for daring to cook the ill-fated "consensus plot" against Tinubu's aspirations.

Just won a primary election and you are already knocking people on the head instead of unifying the party for general elections. Tinubu might be a vindictive president if elected. I hope this speech doesn't work against him.

PoliticsRe: Moment Tinubu Was Declared Winner Of APC Presidential Primary Election (Video) by festacman(m):
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu showed he has strong political structure and massive goodwill outside of SW. Across the 6 geopolitical zones of the country, he had deliberately invested in other people's aspirations as well as intervened in other people's moments of trial. He built network of politicians who owe him a payback. Today, he got it.

Pres Buhari's humiliation of Tinubu also gained sympathy for him. Many Northern APC politicians believe that Tinubu deserve a better deal having given Pres. Buhari his 100% support once again in 2019 in spite of being relegated after 2015 landmark APC victory. Matter of fact Pres. Buhari won APC primary over Kwankwanso and Atiku on the strength of SW delegates' block votes. Being politicians, these Northern politicians know how painful being used and dumped can be. Today, they stood for him.

Congratulations, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu!

I believe that Fr. Obimma (Ebube Muonso) should have, first, reached out privately to Gov. Soludo rather than sensationally trumpeting from the pulpit. It is security issue.
PoliticsRe: Timi Dakolo Vent His Anger On APC For Using His Song by festacman(m):
Great Nation by Timi Dakolo is a song that will be eventually adopted as official national song for Nigerians after the National Anthem. It has life of its own and Timi Dakolo will live through this song long after he is gone.

Now this:
If a person BUYS Timi Dakolo's album and play his song in open party, does he need permission from Timi Dakolo?

If APC as entity BUYS Timi Dakolo's album and play his song in its convention, is permission needed from Timi Dakolo?

Lawyers in the house, over to you.

Delegates' eyes dey red. Some delegates nearly died yesterday when consensus candidate was announced. grin

EFCC officials sef no go mind the dollars. Dem nobi Naija again? cool

On a serious note, EFCC's presence can't deter the sh*t from happening. Stopping it will require a move away from the status quo.

Neroclassic001:
LOYALTY IS EVERYTHING. NEVER FORGET THIS.
Loyalty is desirable but it is not everything. Disloyalty is painful no doubt but sometimes for personal convictions, it is unavoidable.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu And Osinbajo: The True Story Of How They Met - Bayo Onanuga by festacman(m):
First, Buba Galadima's interview was arranged by Kwankwanso's camp to gain Asiwaju Tinubu's support if he loses out in APC.

Second, if Asiwaju Tinubu was nominated VP by another person, he would have done worse than what Prof Yemi Osinbajo is doing. Every human being is entitled to pursue his aspirations. You can't get nearest to the corridor of power and just chicken out when you possess qualifications and competence that tower above some of the other presidential candidates.

Third, Bayo Onanuga is merely trying to paint Prof Yemi Osinbajo in dark color and turn Yoruba race against him. No person created by God can boast of not being a beneficiary of someone's support. Prof. Osinbajo served Lagos State and Tinubu well and even in some cases did some unsavory things to preserve Tinubu's excesses and illegalities.

Fourth, Tinubu's presidency is not one of Nostradamus predictions. It is a personal political aspiration that is not superior to other people's aspirations. He is the one who would sooner than later regret treating faithful acolytes as political toys to entertain his political mind.

In spite of everything, I still admire Tinubu as a dogged politician and as person though I detest his inexplicable avarice. There is only one JAGABAN. He holds court at Bourdillon. Love him or hate him, he keeps moving.
PoliticsRe: How Igbo Betray Southern PDP - Osita Chidoka by festacman(m): 2:29pm On Jun 05, 2022
A confirmed Atiku boy blaming the supporters of other candidates. Hypocrisy.

Look, Peter Obi is a highly qualified candidate with impressive manifesto but the fact is that those characteristics are not enough. Understanding the environment you operate in is also important. After 2019 election, he went politically passive until Anambra State governorship election. He knew delegates will determine PDP primary. He knew in most states, most governors control these delegates. Yet, he didn't build relationships with these governors and the delegates well before the official consultation started. He should blame himself.

Well, he is in Labour Party and really strengthening the party. It is important that he knows that his efforts in expanding LP will be exploited by some crafty politician in 2017 unless he become crafty too.

Wishing him fruitful campaign and victory in 2023 election.

CelebritiesRe: Jim Iyke Reacts To His Alleged Conversion To Muslim (video) by festacman(m):
Jim Iyke paid for this publicity to create awareness about his new movie due for release in July. Simple.

He always uses 'shocking' social media stunt to create awareness whenever he is about to release a new project. Last time, he beat up another actor in a stage-managed brawl. Now, releasing pictures about him converting to Islam and blaming bloggers. Only God knows what he will do next.
PoliticsRe: APC Crisis: Adamu Apologises, Reconciles With Aggrieved NWC Members by festacman(m): 1:26am On Jun 02, 2022
APC Chairman Abdullahi Adamu is in a fix. He loves to be the chairman of the party but he knows there may be actually no party, in the real sense of it, to preside over in a matter of days.

He doesn't know who is Pres. Buhari's preferred candidate but he would obviously prefer a primary that will end in peace so that he will enjoy his chairmanship in peace.

Tough job, if you ask me!
PoliticsRe: APC Governors Consensus Meeting Fails, Postponed To Later this Week by festacman(m):
I would rather that APC conducts proper primary to reflects the values of democracy.

Interestingly, the irony in the Pres. Buhari's reciprocity clause is the following:
The BIG MAN who for years has been determining the political career of other people will have the most crucial point in his political career determined by another person.

I don't know if this is karma or fate.

I am sure most of his former acolytes like Banire, Afikoyomi, Sarah Sosan, Mamora, GUS Solomon, Ambode, Aregbesola, etc who lost out through his political decisions will be beaming with smiles.

I hope this ambition won't destroy Tinubu like it did to MKO Abiola because Jagaban doesn't look like someone who is ready for any reciprocity or consensus bullsh*t.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Is Not The Authentic Presidential Candidate Of Labour Party-Woye by festacman(m): 3:49pm On May 30, 2022
Hon. Callistus Uju Okafor shouldn't prove too tough. He is likely to name his price (Financial compensation and position in new LP) to withdraw his suit and settle out of court. I believe Peter Obi should be able to see to that to fulfill his political aspirations.
PoliticsRe: The Moment Pat Utomi Endorsed Peter Obi (Video) by festacman(m): 2:38pm On May 30, 2022
This protracted ownership/leadership problem in Labour Party hasn't benefited any of the contending parties from all indications so far. The party has become stunted when it should be providing the 3rd alternative to APC and PDP.

But it can be sorted out and that should be Peter Obi's first week task as Presidential candidate. If he is able to within shortest possible time:
(1) resolve this problem alongside Pat Utomi, Prof Jega, Chief Femi Falana, etc,
(2) cultivate active support of leaders and members of NLC/TUC and
(3) commence active nationwide campaign

then he has what it takes to solve the numerous problems of Nigeria with complex heterogeneity. This is the first test of his readiness for Nigerian presidency.

It has everything to do with Northern unity. The southerners involved are just the willing tools who will sell their souls for gain. If Wike was a Northerner, they would have closed their eyes to his eccentricities and the southern politicians would have, true to type, closed their eyes right along with them.
There is always that aversion for Wike's behaviour, but at the root of any reaction to it, is the Northern quest for control. You know that.
"Internally Displaced Politicians" (IDP) cheesy cheesy cheesy
Do you know that Wike got more delegate votes from Kano State than Atiku? GEJ won votes in the North in spite Buhari's candidacy in 2011 election. Yes, core Hausa/Fulani have more affinity tendencies due to language and religion but in politics, personal interests and preservation are key.
