The conspiracy against Gov. Nyesom Wike was of high level and 'conspirators' came from across the country. It had little to do with the Northern unity. The fact is that Gov. Wike's bully attitude as well as how he threw his weight around brashly as party financier and given his role in getting Supreme Court to retrieve PDP back from Modu Sheriff had become a source of worry and even fear to party bigwigs. They didn't want to take any chances at the primary. So, they prevailed on Gov. Tambuwal, whom Gov. Wike had tagged an ingrate in the course of his consultation with delegates, to step down and openly support Atiku Abubakar. Desperate calls were also made to some leaders to reach out to delegates. It worked.

If you consider the number of votes Gov. Wike got in spite of the 'conspiracy', you will understand that without that intervention, he would have pulled a surprise.

Well, Gov. Wike has himself to blame for his 'Putin-istic' attitude. Recall he disgraced and removed Uche Secondus his ally and brother as PDP chairman and installed Iyorchia Ayu. And things could get worse for him when his tenure ends. He might find himself completely outside the umbrella. Fortunately, Kwankwanso's NNPP is there to absorb Internally Displaced Politicians (IDPs) from both PDP and APC.

A bold try considering the status of his opponent and being a complete neophyte with very little political experience and clout except posting Pres. Buhari's pictures on social media. Should have gone for House of Assembly.

Delegates actually voted for candidates and number of votes each candidate scored are there in history books.

If APC had used consensus in 2015, President Buhari wouldn't have emerged presidential candidate. Atiku would have more likely carried the day. Direct election allowed Tinubu to pull his weight by supporting Buhari with bloc SW delegates.

There is nothing wrong with this billboard message if EFCC logo is taken. Obviously, the use of the logo of any brand without permission is illegal and criminal as it amounts to impersonation or identity stealing.

Otherwise, EFCC should commend the brain behind the campaign.
