BusinessRe: If Nairaland Does Not Advertise Anywhere, Why Should I Pay For Ad Space? by finallybusy(op): 6:20pm On Aug 10, 2024
advanceDNA:
U are technically right.....but advertising is generally a risk and would be a waste if u don't channel it properly. And it's not about trust, there are no guarantees .....even those using billboards on the highways are taking a risk that road users will see it and convert them to sales....

That's why when u are running ur ad campaign..u should select the platform that will reach ur target audience the most.... No one is forcing nairaland or any platform on u.....

Nairaland is dead cheap...go and try Mr macaroni.....the werey charges nothing less than 350-500k just to market ur product in one video....
I can understand advertising on his platform. Millions of Nigerians watch him and his videos get shared to friends on the regular. If anything, his prices are fair. I never hear of Nairaland for radio talk less of coming across the platform on any of our news stations. This is the Nigerian equivalent of 4chan; only incels and fellow recluse congregate here. The forum's advantage was a first user implementation. If Nigerians weren't a lazy bunch, that would've thinned years ago.

PoliticsRe: Gas Pipeline Debuts In Eko Atlantic City by finallybusy: 8:55am On Aug 08, 2024
Eko Atlantic is a ghost town. Hopefully, this will bring companies to the area. If residents can’t find their way there organically then industrial organizations will fill the place. A half or no bread situation.

FamilyRe: U.k-based Nigerian Man Plaits Wife's Hair To Save £200 Cost (Photos) by finallybusy: 10:42pm On Aug 07, 2024
XtraFortunes:
That is not true. The percentage of men who can do female hair in Nigeria is less than 0.01percent. if you were talking of cooking, that is understandable, but doing hair? That is rare. Majority of women can't do their own hair undecided
260,000 males is nothing to sneeze at.
FashionRe: Fraud, Identity Theft Committed By Chidimma Vanessa's Mother - SA Home Affairs by finallybusy: 9:28pm On Aug 07, 2024
The whole fraudulent Nigerian assumption is held by a small yet vocal populace. It’s like the ignorant people of the internet who make one believe illiterates thrive online.

And why would i want to learn to plait women's hair if i do not plan to own a salon?

As for the man, if he actually did that to save some cost, I'm worried he's just become a full-time hair stylist
Convert £200 to Naira. Anyone but the most misogynistic will understand.
FamilyRe: U.k-based Nigerian Man Plaits Wife's Hair To Save £200 Cost (Photos) by finallybusy: 3:03pm On Aug 07, 2024
Ballzproblemm:
it's uncommon for a man to plait hair.
Not uncommon. It’s a skill many don’t learn. Houses with a sole male and many female children, the boy of the house learns the skill in a bid to while time. I don’t see why such a person wouldn’t braid his wife or daughter ’s hair for the fun of it.
