Unending tears in Ihiala today as Dangote trailer loaded with cement ran into people around Total Filling Station killing 7 persons at a spot and left many with serious injuries.

A dangote truck fully loaded with cement inexplicably veered of the road and plunged inside the gutter facing that first bank.

Not less than 25 persons lost there lives in that ugly incident. the casualties were mostly hawkers ranging from young children hawking gala,pure water, aki n ukwa, chips to old women selling okpa bread and the rest.

It was gathered that the driver was no were to be found as soon as the incident took place. there were wailing all over the place as people were running frantically trying to know if they can identify any of the casualties.An ambulance was also around carrying the dead to a nearby mortuary at our lady of loudres ihiala, Anambra state.

Nigerians in Greater Noida in India are on hideout over the death of a student Manish Singh, who died, was a class 12 student of Jaypee International School and a resident of NSG Society in Greater Noida. He reportedly went missing on Friday evening and returned home the next morning in an inebriated state. The boy was later admitted to a private hospital, where he died due to cardiac arrest.

The Nigerians — Said Kabir Abdullahi, Said Abubakar Abdullahi, Adamu Usman, Muhammed Amir Zakari Yau and Abdul Qadir Usman — are students of Noida International University. They have been booked under the charges of kidnapping, culpable homicide and murder.

Some Nigerians in the area took to their various social media handles to warn other Nigerians in the area and also raise alerm for Federal Government to come to aid.

Faisal Ibrahim wrote;

“So apparently a war against Africans has broken here in greater noida, due to an incident that happened, which is said that a class 12 boy has died due to drug overdose. And some Nigerian are being accused. Now Africans are being targeted, getting attacked and beaten up brutally by bunch of people in groups, in places such as jagat, ansal, pari chowk etc. so people be careful and keep your guard on, try to avoid such places as possible as you can. Get the people you know informed to be careful too. Until the situation is calm.”

Another Nigerian Ibrahim Djidi Adam, in the area alsp wrote this on his facebook wall;

“As this very moment ,there’s fast spreading situation of africans being mobbed,attacked ,kidnapped, breaking news indicated high mobilization of locals against africans everywhere and Pari chowk especially..I urge all africans to mobilize and march in front of our embassies soon and get exists out of India and boycott this barbaric country where ppl are demonized,stigmatized, ostracized just becuz their color is different. Remember chicken will always come home to roost.”

Series of bomb blast have occurred in 3 locations around Muna Garage area of Maiduguri metropolis. The incidents occurred at about 4 am.

The first location is Muna Kumbori an unofficial host community camp housing 199 internally displaced persons attacked by three suicide bombers which led the the death of 2 persons.

The second location is Muna Dagalti which was attacked by 1 suicide bomber killing 1 person.

The third location is Muna Bulaya attacked by 1 suicide bomber who was the only casuality.

A total of 5 suicide bombers all male adults were involved in the incidents killing 3 persons.

20 people with various degrees of injuries were administered with first aid by Emergency response team and transported to the state specialist hospital while the remains of the dead have been deposited in the mortuary.

The executive Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano in the company of Obi of Onitsha, HRM. Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe on thursday visited the scene of the fire outbrake in Onitsha.

The fire outbreak came as a result of sparks from a Petrol Tanker,which later led to the explosion of the Petrol tanker loaded with fuel. The fire engulfed the environment. Fire service were later seen,battling to put out the fire.

Surrounding buildings were badly destroyed and no report of loss of lives were recorded as at the time of this broadcast.

This is the current state of Federal Polytechnic Oko students at Atani campus (Computer Science and Maths & Stats department) in Ogbaru local Government area of Anambra state.

The Students of this campus have been lamenting, crying for help of the Government and also the school authorities to come to their rescue for what they describe as modern day slavery all in name of Education.

For about two months now, the students and indigenes of Akili-Ozizor, Senator Stella Oduah’s home community has been in darkness and no hope of light seem coming in next few months because Senator Oduah who normally pays the community light kind of backed out and EEDC disconnected the community light for some months now.

According to one of the students we spoke to, He said “the light situation is really affecting the students academically cus they can’t read or do anything with their laptops because this campus is 90% computer science students”

“We are now calling on Governor Obiano and our school Rector to come and rescue us from this suffering because we have suffered enough. No light, No network, We are now like abandoned children in the forest” The students said

According to Edwin Dico Okugbo who shared this on his page online, claimed that the sacked FRCN boss Jim Obazee didn't act alone but was following the instruction given to him.

Please lets not get this wrong. Jim Obazee is too small to have taken such a decision that forced Pastor Adeboye to step down. It was not his decision nor his implementation.

They tested the waters to see the reaction. They saw the reaction and pulled back and made Obazee the fall guy. Dont be distracted to start to put the thing on Obazee. That is the easiest way to lose your guard.

Keep watch. The people that made and implemented that decision are still very much around and active.
The FRC law was passed by GEJ in 2011 after the NASS made the law but that version of the law had no connection to Churches. No connection at all. The Naional Code of Corporate governance was recently released by the Buhari administration and passed on the 17 of October 2016.

It is this version of the law that brought in the clause that sought to subjugate Churches. If you listen to Pastor Adeboye’s statement when he announced the new GO, he made that pretty clear. He said clearly how they have started to interfere in Church activities. He never ever made that complaint anytime during GEJ’s tenure.

I have also seen some people saying that the law was right and in tandem with what obtains all around the world. There is no bigger lie than that. Joel Osteen took over his father’s ministry. Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, took over his father’s ministry. Kenneth Copeland’s children are already co-running his ministry even to the second generation. The list goes on and on. These are American preachers. The country whose democracy you follow. Same obtains in Europe. The only places you see such restrictions on ministries are in Islamic countries or communist countries.

The point here is that you cannot intefere with people’s personal ministries. If as a government, you believe there is any financial impropriety in any ministry, there are proper laws and channels for handling that. But what just happened was a step into the Christian community to see how they can weaken the community and disorganise it in preparation for future elections.

So this was not about Obazee and Pastor Adeboye made that clear in his statement. He said and I quote
“Some people believe that RCCG is becoming too influential and we’re going to be more influential. When you get home, tell members to join a political party. Just join any party. We shall decide issues right from the ward level. If you are not active at ward level, you’ll do what they plan and say at the top. Enroll in any party of your choice and have a card. When holding meetings at ward level to choose delegates, be there.”

One Muslim in Ibadan said years ago that he didn’t know what’s wrong with Christians; that we help them to occupy political positions and refused to capitalize on our population. That’s going to change from now” the man of God said. The government has been showing increasing interest in church affairs”

If Pastor Adeboye thought for one moment that it was the handywork of one man, one insignificant unknown man called Jim Obazee, he would have simply called any of the big RCCG people in the corridors of government to sort him out. Dont forget the VP is an RCCG pastor. But this was not a one man affair.

It was a plan by the powers that be. A plan which came just after Pastor Adeboye was verbally attacked and insulted by the APC, officially, for his statement to Gov Ayo Fayose.

And most importantly, some of us who shouted ourselves hoax did not shout because of Pastor Adeboye. No No No! We shouted because the laws didnt just affect Pastor Adeboye, it affected every Pastor and every ministry in Nigeria no matter how big or small. That law would have crippled Christian and ministry activities in the future and there was no telling where it would have led.

We must continue to stay on our guard. Dont be carried away by the sacking and “suspension” of the law by the President. A law cannot be suspended after it has been passed by the house. It has to be reviewed and changed or expunged, not suspended, (Whatever that means).

We value human beings but that does not warrant frivolous expenditure in the mist of extreme poverty.”

ANNOUNCEMENT OF A DEAD PERSON

The announcement of the passing on of persons in the following categories must show respect to the deceased:-

1. The Town’s Traditional Ruler

2. A Cabinet Chief

3′. Ozo titled holder

4. Member of Traditional Council

(a). in the case of the Traditional Ruler, nobody is authorized to announce his passage unless after the cabinet meets for that purpose‘ The announcement would be by the Onowu or Onosolu Eze in the presence.

To lessen the burden of walling for families to bury their deceased particularly at Christmas seasons, all forms of burial ceases by Detember 20″‘while resumption to burrial is from 10′”January.

The new Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo inaugural speech yesterday has sparked outrage in Ghana and social media.

At the inuguration while addressing the gathering at the Independence Square, Akufo-Addo used the same words from a 1993 Bill Clinton inaugural speech, and a 2001 George Bush inaugural speech.

“I ask you to be citizens: citizens, not spectators; citizens, not subjects; responsible citizens building your communities and our nation. Let us work until the work is done,” Akufo-Addo said.

The words above were also contained in George Bush’s 2001 inaugural speech – verbatim.
